AN: Now I know Bess doesn't appear in ToT, but that's where the brilliance that is fanfiction comes in! I just love Bess as a character, in the games and the books, so I couldn't resist putting her in. :)
It was late by the time they had all eaten. Debbie and Scott went in to clean the office while Frosty and Chase stayed in the living room to tinker with some gadget. Feeling tired, Nancy trekked up the stairs to her room. She had barely entered the room when her phone rang. Glancing at the display she smiled and answered the call.
"Hi Bess," she greeted.
"Nancy Drew, how could you go so long without calling me?" her friend scolded.
Nancy sat on the edge of the bed and laughed. "Sorry."
"I forgive you. Now, tell me everything!"
"Well…"
