I hope you all enjoyed the last chapter!

~Moving Forward~

Koala took a deep breath as she finally reached one of the areas where the cameras were at. She looked over the group, thinking of a plan to get them to leave her with the camera. The marine in charge turned to her when she stepped forward.

"What do you want?" He asked quietly so as not to disturb the viewers.

Koala swallowed. "I came here to act as extra security."

"So the fleet admiral was worried that the pirates may try and disrupt the plan." The marine muttered.

"Yes sir."

The man nodded. "Very well, when we get the signal we cut the cameras."

"And what happens then sir?"

The man looked at her. "We watch the execution."

Koala felt her blood run cold. "That's not for a few more hours though."

"That's why we're cutting the cameras, we're moving the execution up."

Koala watched as the man turned his back to her to continue relaying orders quietly. She shook slightly as she took in the plan. They were going to deceive the entire world. How could the government be so unfair and disrespectful. It made sense but then again they were lying to the population, and allowing this war to go on. Why did they even have the war? They could have executed Ace easily at any point.

Koala glanced over the marines and pirates clashing below as she tried to pinpoint the need for the senseless fighting. Her eyes locked on the large figure of Whitebeard and it all clicked. The marines were wanting to snuff out the entire pirate era. Not only do they kill the son of the Pirate King but they kill one of the major figures of the era.

Koala smiled up at Tiger before running to her mother. She glanced back from the hug to see Tiger leaving the town. The young girl ran from her mother and towards the fish-man with a smile.

"Thank you!" She shouted from where she stood, a smile on her face. "I'll never forget you or the others!"

The fish-man turned to her with a smile on his face before waving good-bye and continuing on his way. Koala was taken into town by her mother and the village welcomed her back whole-heartedly, glad she was safe. Noises from outside the town began quieting the masses around them and Koala went to look in the direction Tiger had went but her mother pulled her into a tight hug.

"Mom? What's going on?"

The woman shook as she hugged her daughter close. "Nothing, don't worry about it. You're safe now."

Koala clenched her eyes shut as she shook those thoughts from her head. She watched the marines near her continue to discuss the plan and when to enact it. She hated the marines, they had killed one of the people she truly cared for.

Koala stared out the window, watching the storm outside continue to grow. Her mother was fixing food, as Koala stood next to the window. It had been years since she was returned home after her enslavement. She always wondered what happened to those nice fish-men who had been kind enough to bring her home.

Koala glanced at the calendar, noting that it was once again the anniversary of the day she had been brought home. She smiled thinking back to those years as she turned to her mother, she was finally going to tell the woman of her plans for the future. Her mother had been asking what she planned to do with her life and Koala had decided.

"Mom?"

The woman turned to her with a smile. "Yes?"

"You've been wondering what I plan to do with my life."

The woman nodded. "Have you decided?"

Koala nodded. "I want to travel to fish-men island."

Koala watched as her mother's eyes went wide and she dropped the items she had been holding. The young girl watched her mom clean the mess up, hands jerking, the woman's body shaking with every move. Once the woman put everything up she turned back to Koala, but did not meet her daughter's eyes.

"Why?" She asked shakily.

Koala smiled nervously. "I want to thank the fish-men that helped me again. I also want to learn more about them."

Her mother frowned. "You want to thank those pirates?"

Koala nodded. "Fisher Tiger returned me home, it's the least I could do."

"I don't think they'd welcome you in fish-men island."

"Why not?"

Her mother turned from her and Koala felt her stomach twist. Her mother had acted this way all those years ago after she was brought back. She acted this way whenever the girl brought up the fish-men. Koala distantly remembered those strange noises she heard that day, and the way no one would look at her afterwards.

"What's wrong?" Koala asked, hoping she was over-thinking the situation.

Her mother let out a shaky breath. "That fish-men is dead."

"What fish-men?"

"The one that had brought you home."

Koala felt her heart skip a beat. "What?"

"The marines promised to overlook your status as a slave if we allowed them to kill him."

"You guys sold him out?"

Her mother nodded. "It was the only way to keep you."

Koala stared at her mother with wide eyes. "How could you?"

"It was the only way we could keep them from taking you back."

"He's the only reason I am back! I would rather have been taken back then for him to be dead!" Koala shouted.

"Koala please listen," Her mother pleaded.

"I've heard all I need to!"

Koala turned from her mother and ran out the door, her mother shouting for her to wait. The downpour hiding her tears as she ran from the town towards the sea, the one place she truly felt at home now.

Koala snapped back to attention as she heard the call for the cameras to be turned off. She moved quickly forward knocking out the men in her area as soon as the snail was off. Once they were all down she hid behind the wall as she coaxed the snail to awaken again.

~Marco~

The Phoenix knelt next to his Pops, surveying the battle, his eyes occasionally returning to Ace's little brothers. He had promised his pops he'd watched at least the youngest one's back, he'd try to protect both of them though. It was an unsaid rule that if one of their own had a family then that family was considered a part of Whitebeard's family.

He watched as Moria fought with Jinbei, the fish-men keeping the Shichibukai at bay and away from Straw-hat and the Angel of Death. The blonde was fighting several marines, keeping them off Luffy's back as he charged towards the platform that held Ace. Marco moved to intervene as he saw a marine, Smoker he believed, attack the rubber-boy. The revolutionary quickly moved to his brother's aid but Marco was surprised when someone else saved the young pirate.

"Well that's interesting." Marco watched the Kuja Empress stand between the marine and Straw-hat.

Whitebeard looked over the battlefield with his son. "What does Sengoku plan to do now?"

Marco glanced at his father. "Almost all of the major players are on the move. The Shichibukai have already started their attack, and the admirals are on the defensive."

"Best be careful then."

"Of course." Marco turned his attention to the battlefield once again.

~Sabo~

Sabo nervously approached Luffy as the boy stood talking with the Pirate Empress. He watched as she held her hand out to Luffy and the boy became excited. As the young pirate released her the woman fell, and Sabo quickly followed his brother, not wanting to be around when the strange acting woman recovered.

The blonde grit his teeth as Smoker once again moved to intercept them, but was shocked when he was blocked once again by the Pirate Empress. Sabo smiled as they reached Ivankov and Kuma, maybe the Shichibukai would join him since the revolutionary army was quiet present.

"Vhat do you mean he's dead?" Ivankov shouted at Doflamingo.

"He's no longer human, he volunteered himself to become a weaponized human." Doflamingo smirked as he told them this.

Sabo shook. "Kuma."

"That's right. The last time I saw him." Luffy muttered as they dodged the blast the Pacifista sent at them.

Sabo pulled Luffy away from the battle as Ivankov went head to head with Kuma, telling them he would take the Shichibukai on. Luffy began running on his own, Ivankov's followers following him. Sabo closed his eyes briefly to stop the tears from falling, he would have time to mourn Kuma later.

Sabo dodged pirates and marines left and right as he ran with Luffy through the ever growing wreckage. Sabo grit his teeth as he saw a figure standing before their path. He quickly grabbed the collapsible bo staff he kept on him in case he didn't have his. Quickly attaching it together he concentrated Haki into it as he ran ahead of Luffy, intent on meeting the swordsman standing in their way head on.

~End ch. 12~

So Koala's part was supposed to be in the last chapter but I goofed and forgot to put it in so it's in this one. So sorry for the late update, I was at a con all weekend and I meant to finish the chapters during my free time but I forgot. I had a lot of fun running around as Nami though and I met an awesome Law, Bepo, Ace, Corazon, and Luffy. It was amazing and fun!
