~Scaffold~
Sabo launched forward throwing himself back into the battle, though things were growing more hectic. He watched as Whitebeard knelt due to an attack, and as commanders were being powered left and right. He dodged an attack barely as he risked a glance at the platform. His heart ached when he saw Ace's head down, and he could practically read his brother's despair and confusion.
"If by not fighting now I failed to save Ace! That would make me want to die!"
Sabo froze as he heard his little brother shout that from behind him. The marine he was fighting took that chance to knock him back, and Sabo shook his head to clear it. Sabo laughed as he heard Luffy's cry as he rejoined the battle. Sabo began moving towards the platform again opposite his little brother as they saw executioners approach Ace again.
Sabo's eyes flicked to his grandfather, the admirals were all distracted with Whitebeard and the commanders, their grandfather was their biggest problem with reaching Ace. Sabo listened to Whitebeards words as he dodged marines working his way to the platform, fearing gripping his heart as he saw the swords drop towards his brother's neck.
"Stop it already!"
Sabo watched as marine around him dropped at his brother's shout, feeling a wave of emotions wash over him, but he was able to withstand the rush of power. He turned to his brother, seeing the younger raven still running for the stand, most of the bigger players freezing to stare at him. Sabo smirked, his little brother was still full of surprised it seemed, who knew he had Emperor's Haki.
Sabo smirked as he saw his brother being backed up by the numerous pirates with Whitebeard. Sabo continued to move through the marines, dodging as he tried to find a good point to kick off. His best move was a surprise attack on Garp, and if he timed it right maybe Luffy could attack at the same time.
Sabo heard cries of surprise as he saw Inazuma use his powers to create a walkway to the platform. He smirked, before jumping towards a large pile of rubble. He kicked off, and transformed as he flew into the air, intent on knocking his grandfather off that platform. Sabo flew as fast as he could for the platform, nearly running into Kizaru as the man attempted to attack him before being stopped by Whitebeard.
Sabo concentrated as he flew nearer to Garp who stood in the way of Luffy. He envisioned the moves that he had seen the phoenix used, and thought of his form changing like that. He turned mid air and kicked Garp as the man was thrown to the side by Luffy's punch a second before. Sabo grabbed the platform as he felt his transformation end, not used to switching just a part of his body midflight.
He heard cries of surprise as he concentrated on climbing the platform quickly, climbing on top as Luffy landed in front of Ace, Sengoku looking shocked at both of their appearances. Sabo's eyes widened as he rushed towards Luffy and Ace as Sengoku transformed. He paused as he grabbed Ace, watching in horror with Luffy as the key was shattered.
The executioner nearest them suddenly awoke and Luffy ordered the man to protect Ace and him while he began enlarging himself. Sabo began to go on the defensive as the man moved closer to them, not sure why his little brother trusted the man. As the man made a wall of candles appear protecting them from Luffy as Sengoku's fist came down on them all.
Sabo held Ace tightly as they felt the scaffold break, the older raven crying out in surprise along with them. Sabo heard the guns firing, and felt fear grip his heart, finding no way they were going to live through this onslaught. As they were thrown from the scaffold by Sengoku, the executioner shouted at Sabo.
He looked up in time to see a key being thrown at him, he grabbed it and without hesitation jammed it into Ace's handcuffs. He was shocked as he heard the click of the lock and the handcuffs come off his older brother's wrists. Sabo quickly transformed into his bird form so Ace could get on his back as the older brother grabbed their baby brother. Their unknown ally was clasped in Sabo's claws and the bullets rained down on them, Ace using his fire at the last minute to protect them from the explosion.
"You two have always been this way!" Ace reprimanded as the smoke began to clear. "Never listening to a word I say and always overdoing it!"
Luffy laughed as Ace took control of the flames and Sabo let out a chirp like laugh as he moved them further from the platform weakly. Sabo wasn't used to all this weight but most of it was taken off as Ace jumped from his back, Luffy remaining on for a second at Ace's orders. The younger brothers watched as Ace used his flame-fist on the marines below.
Luffy soon joined their brother on the ground as Sabo also flew closer, transforming into his human form as soon as he could set his final passenger down safely. Ace stood in front of Luffy, the younger Raven facing in another direction, covering his brother's back. Sabo fell in beside them, finding the formation they had to be very similar to the one they used as children.
"Can you two still fight?"
Sabo and Luffy laughed at their brother's question. "Of course!"
Gunners approached them and Luffy quickly jumped in front of Sabo, the revolutionary diving behind some rubble to avoid any stray bullets. He hated being the only one who was affected by bullets, but he had a nice shield in his little brother. All he had to worry about was getting them away from this area and to a place that would safely allow him to fly them away to the boats.
The three brothers began fighting their way through the marines as Whitebeard began giving orders again. Though they froze as they heard his final orders, Ace staring at the man in horror. Sabo grit his teeth grabbing his brother's shoulder and forcing him to move. Ace broke free and created a path of flame, blocking Whitebeard and him from the marines.
Sabo watched the two's final words being spoken to each other and Ace's declaration of Whitebeard being a good father. Sabo felt his eyes well up before he grabbed Ace and began leading him away along with Luffy. They saw the ship that was their escape route in front of them and he laughed as Koala joined his side, both of them beat up but alive.
He heard a marine behind them and froze as he heard Ace skitter to a halt. "Whitebeard is after all just a failure from the previous era."
Sabo whipped around as Luffy also stopped with them, Koala and the others pausing as they urged the brothers to keep running. Sabo watched Ace seeing his eyes darken before turning his gaze to the magma-man taunting him. Sabo glanced back at the ship, they were so close, yet this marine had to stop them. Sabo felt his heart freeze as he watched Ace begin to turn back to the fight, a dark look on his face.

Reviewer's corner:
Say Chaze: Thanks for the review!
Wawz: Very true, but then again Luffy isn't as strong as most of the people on the battlefield so who knows how tired they would be.
Sess18: Thanks for the review!
Till next time!
