"Tara wake up! Why are you the only one allowed to sleep on the job?!" Dustin whined at his sister, who had fallen asleep against one of the bikes she was working on tuning up.

She scrunched her nose in confusion; how had she fallen asleep? She was just working on the bike when….when she yawned and something hit the back of her head! It wasn't her doing at all! She gave a sigh and stood up from the bike. "Sorry Dustin, I guess I just didn't get to sleep yet last night." She responded quietly, grabbing a grease rag from one of her tool cases and wiping her hands on it.

Dustin gave his sister a once over, noticing how tired and run-down she seemed. After Cam had given her certain instructions for their new bikes, Tara had spent just about all her time working on them. He hadn't even seen his sister in a few days aside from when she walked into Storm Chargers to help out for a few hours. Between working on the zords and building their new Tsunami Cycles, the self-titled Ranger Mechanic looked like she could fall over if someone breathed in her direction. This thought running through his mind made him frown and pass a hand through his hair. This brunette seemed to be the only one who could allow his mature, caring side to show through.

He walked up to her and wrapped an arm around her waist, her arm going around his shoulder as he dragged the sleep-deprived teen from the back of their new lair. "Cam, I'm taking Tara home so she can rest for a while. Then she's taking a little break from working." He said, making sure his voice held the right authority so the tech-man wouldn't fight against him.

Cam was about to open his mouth anyway before spotting the paler skin the girl was sporting, and a frown sprouted along his face. Had she really been working that tirelessly without him knowing? Cam coughed into his hand and rearranged his glasses on his face, nodding at the brother. "I didn't know she was working so hard, I'll keep better track from now on." He said gently, noting the girl nodding off on her brother's shoulder.

Dustin sighed and gave a small nod in thanks, picking the teen up and carrying her out of the lair. Tori and Shane ran downstairs with a small laugh before seeing the two disappear. Tori frowned and pointed at the leaving figures. "Uh, since when has Tara been here? She wasn't here yesterday for our big event...or the day before for our first battle…" The blonde said, her frown turning into a pout; she really wanted to boast other enhanced water abilities to the older teen.

Cam rolled his eyes and Shane frowned as well. "Yeah you're right! I've hardly seen her at Storm Chargers too...Dustin always says she was there, but then she'd disappear. You wouldn't happen to know anything, would'ya Cam?" The new leader asked, wrapping an arm around the green clad teen.

Cam in response just sighed and took off his glasses. "She's been in the back working on your zords and Tsunami Cycles. She keeps saying she wants to be ready for another attack, and wants you mobile for whatever happens. She walked in there days ago and I actually hadn't realized until now, I haven't seen her since she stepped foot in there." He replied with a frown, staring at the red and blue rangers who were glancing at each other.

Tori passed a hand through her hair while Shane just shook his head. "Dude, we need her. More than just for this operation. Kelly, her boss? She's been on a rampage wondering what happened to her second in command. Dustin has been covering for her, saying she's been sick and holed up at home. But with how hard she's been working, I wouldn't be surprised if she is sick now." Shane grumbled with a small glare thrown at the wall across from him; the thought of their older friend in trouble or just plain sick didn't sit well with the leader, something he just couldn't fathom as she was the strongest of the four friends.

Dustin donned his motocross gear and looked at the brunette and redhead in front of him and his bike. "Ready for me Kell?" He asked quickly, revving his bike a couple times to warm up the engine.

The boss and friend nodded her head, focusing on the stopwatch dangling around her neck. "Just about, set up at the starting line with everyone else Dustin. Tara and I are fine right here." She said with a smile, watching as he drove off to the startup line.

Tara wrapped her arms around herself, her black and purple hoodie tied around her waist so she was only dressed in her black tank top and dark blue denim jeans which looked stained with oil and grease from years of wear. Kelly shook her head and glanced at the brunette standing next to her. "Are you sure you're up for this? You can go back home and rest if you need to." Kelly told her second in command, gauging the young woman's reaction as she looked over at the redhead with a tired smile.

Tara shook her head and rubbed a hand along the side of her face, resting it on her cheek for a moment. "Honestly I'm fine Kelly. Being sick hasn't done me much good. I've just been bedridden and I needed to get out and do something. Being out here on the track, and helping fix the broken bike actually helps me feel better." She replied with a cheeky smile, glancing at her boss who simply sighed and watched the race start.

The two continued to watch, their eyes glued to the rider in yellow at the front of the riders. Until two others passed him on the last jump and took the lead. Tara blinked in surprise and leaned back onto her left leg, her hip popping out slightly as she crossed her arms over her chest. "Those two are impressive." She murmured to herself as she turned to walk towards Dustin.

He leaned the bike on the kickstand and Tara immediately crouched down next to it, checking over his engine and other parts that might've been slowing him down. She gave a tiny frown when she couldn't find anything wrong, her brunette hair falling like a curtain over her right shoulder to hide her face. She could hear Dustin making conversation with the two new riders who smoked him during his racing period. "Oh! You should totally check out my sister riding the track, it's like she flies." Dustin suddenly exclaimed, pointing over his shoulder at the young woman who ducked her head to focus on the bike more.

The two riders glanced at each other a moment before looking back at the yellow clad rider. "Really? We might just test that theory." The one in Navy riding gear said with a friendly smile.

The crimson clad guy leaned against his truck and glanced at the brunette, a small frown settling across his face. He never knew a girl who could fix moto bikes; he'd only ever seen other guys on the tracks dealing with all that stuff. Could she really do it? "Yeah, Dude. She's amazing on the track, and she even helps keep our bikes tuned for races. Maybe she could check yours out too, if you want I mean." Dustin said, looking between the two as he scratched the back of his head sheepishly; Tara might kill him for offering her services without permission.

The two were about to comment on it when his morpher went off. He glanced at it, then at his sister before groaning quietly. "Uh, can I talk to you guys later? I really gotta go, sorry." Dustin frowned while hiding his wrist behind his back. They were always calling him at the worst times.

The two looked at the yellow rider and nodded with a smile. "No worries, just take a rain check and we'll check out some riding styles later." Navy-clad teen said, tapping Dustin's shoulder plate with a grin.

Dustin smiled wide and nodded his head before running back towards his sister. "Hey Tare-" "Save it Dustin. Go get to training, I'll deal with your new friends. Just don't randomly hand out my skills to strangers anymore, okay?" She said with a roll of her eyes, ignoring his response as she looked back down at his bike to clean some dirt off it.

He gulped and just nodded as a reply, too nervous to deal with her strange new behavior. Where did the happy-go-lucky smile go that she always had on her face? She seemed so guarded and untrusting, like when she first moved to Blue Bay Harbor. Were her memories haunting her again? Dustin frowned at the thought and glanced back at her, about to ask her something until he saw the blond, crimson wearing moto rider walking up to her. He seemed intrigued about something she was doing which caused Dustin to stop mid turn; a guy might've been interested in his sister, and it wasn't one of his best friends.

Dustin left the 4 people and disappeared into the woods, looking around in hopes of finding his teammates, sensei and….well sensei's son I guess. "Man, don't tell me I missed training AGAIN!" He groaned while rubbing his face with his hands irritatedly.

Tara sighed quietly to herself as she continued on with Dustin's bike. Even though she tuned it regularly, he always seemed to mess something up. It was a miracle he knew how to fix the thing for when she couldn't be around. She shook her head at the thought and chuckled. "Yeah right...he'll never learn." She mused to herself as she sat back wiping her hands on the rag beside her.

She heard two pairs of footsteps stop in front of her and the bike, making her look up in surprise. "Hello?" She said, blinking up at the two who were just talking to her brother.

The two smiled at her; or the one in navy did, crimson teen just decided to watch her in small fascination, his head tilted to the side in thought. She would've blushed had her ninja training not kicked in making sure she hid what she was thinking and feeling. Tara wiped the rest of the oil off her hands and stood up, the rag shoved halfway into her pocket so it was almost draped down the side of her thigh. She smiled at the two and scratched the side of her face. "What's up?"

"We talked to your brother a little bit ago. We were just wondering if we could actually meet and talk to you." The one in navy said, holding his hand out, "I'm Blake. This guy's name is Hunter." He grinned as the brunette in front of him blinked in surprise, again.

Tara shook the navy clad teen's hand and looked between the two. "Yes we're adopted." Hunter said with a small roll of his eyes, though his voice wasn't as harsh as before when he told Dustin the same thing.

Tara held her hands up in defense after releasing Blake's hand. "You won't catch me giving you funny looks. You're not the only one." She said with an easy grin, the odd feeling she was getting from these two was disappearing and she was feeling the natural positive energy of family showing through their bonds.

The blond blinked in surprise and tilted his head again, looking at the young woman in front of him. "You're adopted too?" He asked softly, glancing at Blake who seemed to smirk at the new information of the gorgeous girl in front of them.

Tara nodded with a grin, her head moving quickly back and forth. "Mhm! My dad taught me most of what I know! Except for the, uh, pro racing bit….that I may have picked up on my own." She said with a sheepish grin, her hand moving to the back of her head to scratch it.

Kelly walked up to her then and glanced from her clipboard to the brunette. "Wanna try a lap or two? I need to compare some more notes." She said with a small sigh, frowning at the stats she was reading off the paper.

Tara smirked and turned to the guys. "Think you can keep up?" She asked with a wink, heading off to grab her motocross gear and bike while putting Dustin's away.

Kelly sighed as she looked back down at her clipboard. "I just don't get it. Dustin's been learning from Tara for months now, why are his stats dropping again? Is he not practicing?" She wondered to herself while biting the back of her pen, forgetting the two new riders next to her.

Blake glanced at his brother her wore a smirk on his face already. The two were just about ready to walk up to Kelly when they spotted black racing gear zipping by. Kelly laughed and shook her head as she all but ran to the starting line; the brunette teen hadn't raced in what seemed like years and her boss was glad she was back on the track, even if it was just for stat count. Hunter blinked and Blake looked at the rider wide eyed. "Is that….?" He started, unable to finish his sentence when both saw the black clad rider wave them over, a mischievous glint in their eyes.

Hunter smirked then and moved towards his bike, walking it towards the starting line. "Looks like it is Bro. Let's show her what brothers can race like." He laughed slightly, slapping his brother on the shoulder plate.

He then placed his bike next to the black wearing rider and glanced at them. "Tara?" He wondered with a tilted head, and when he got a nod and small laugh, he knew it was the brunette and shook his head; she sounded much happier on the track than she was on the field watching the racers.

Blake landed next to the two and looked between a bewildered Hunter, to the black clad rider and sighed. "I pegged her for a pink wearing kinda girl." He said with a small shrug, feeling a weak punch to his arm.

He grinned at the girl in between the brothers and watched her roll her eyes. "Pink is so not flattering to me. Black is way better." She grumbled, crouching over her handlebars slightly as the race was just about to start.

As soon as the gates dropped, Tara ripped into first place and was just about to turn the corner when most others were halfway towards her. She laughed happily to herself as she jumped over a couple hills and tore around a corner. She could faintly hear just two motors catching up to her and smirked to herself, they were better than she thought originally. She revved faster a moment before speeding up on some small bumps in the track, expertly weaving around things that might trip up her bike; they never did like to clean up the track that much did they? She sighed while practically flipping around a sharp turn and keeping speed while finding the perfect little hole on the track for the last jump, getting only a small amount of air before landing back on track and speeding all out to the finish line. But just as she was about to cross it, she saw the front end of a bike catch up to her and finish just barely after she did.

She turned off the track and landed her feet on the grass before dismounting from her bike and rolling it towards the redhead who was grinning madly. "Your scores are amazing as always! Now if only Dustin would be so focused." She sighed with a shake of her head; the disappointing truth being the siblings loved motocross, yet only one was good enough to make it to supercross, and she didn't want to race anymore aside from help her brother get better!

Tara smirked and gave a little bow of appreciation. "Why thank you my dear, lovely boss! And Dustin's trying, he's just got a lot on his mind right now. He'll come around, promise." She winked with a small laugh. The track always was her home remedy in making her feel 100% again.

Two others stopped their bikes on either side of her. "Dude! Where'd you learn to rip like that?" Blake asked wide eyed as he tore off his helmet.

Tara chuckled and rested on a leg, her helmet on the hip popped out. "I told you before, my dad taught me. I just honed in on it and practiced until I didn't break anything anymore, then got out to racing and suddenly boom, supercross moment! Now I just help Dustin. But feel free to give me a shout if you wanna battle it out on the track." She grinned before putting her helmet on one of her handlebars.

Hunter smirked and rested a hand on the brunette's head, as she was a head shorter than him. Blake at knowing where this was going decided to ask Kelly some questions about the racing the siblings do and Kelly grabbed Tara's bike to bring back to the van, talking animatedly about it; she really did love watching the two race, it was like they were born and made for it. Tara on the other hand, ignored the calling and like a more graceful lifestyle, one that wasn't so strenuous on her speed. She just enjoyed feeling the bike roll underneath her and then soaring through the air like she was flying, if only for a moment.

Tara looked up at Hunter with an arched eyebrow. "And what is it I can do for you mister Hunter?" She asked while looking up at him, ignoring the arm on her head; it felt different when Shane did it to her, like a brother annoying his sister. Hunter seemed different, and it was starting to interest Tara's curiosity.

He lifted his hand off her head, slightly to the brunette's disappointed, and glanced towards his brother who was motioning for him to hurry up and ask the girl. He sighed and finally turned back to Tara, biting the inside of his lip while contemplating how he would go about asking her out. Finally he gave a mental roll of his eyes and let his instinctual rely surface. "Instead of calling you for a track race, how about a call you for a movie." He suggested, looking to the grass below his feet, suddenly seeing a lot of water on them and blinking in confusion.

Tara at hearing his ask her out stopped what she was doing, which was just fixing her track gear, and looked at the blond in front of her. He had his head dipped and seemed embarrassed as soon as he let the words out of his mouth. She bit her lip and glanced at Kelly, who was shooing her with her hands, telling her to say yes. What was the worst that could happen anyway right? It's not like he was some evil dude like Lothor, threatening the Earth to gain power.

She smiled and giggled slightly, something she normally never did. "See you at Storm Chargers Hunter." She replied simply, winking at him as his head shot up in her direction.

He rubbed the back of his head with a smile. "Is that a yes then?!" He called after her figure and licked his lips unintentionally as she glanced back at him, her hair whipping around and framing her face from the wind, "you tell me dirt-boy. I get off at 5." She smirked with a wink heading up towards Kelly as she passed Blake and gave a friendly smile to him.

Blake stopped next to his brother and grinned. "Dude, you finally got a girl! And she's a nice one too." He laughed and slapped his brothers chest plate.

Hunter rolled his eyes. "Yeah, funny how that happens after we leave our old home with everything that's happened. I just hope she doesn't get caught up in it." He frowned then and shook his head, "maybe it was the wrong time."

Blake rolled his eyes. "Dude, we both won't let anything happen to her okay? She'll be fine. Now go plan that date of yours. We both know you need ALL the help you can get." He said with a laugh.
