Okay you guys I just want to clarify something for you, their weapons as in the celestial bronze ones Thalia carries with her can only kill a vampire if it goes through their heart, much like a stake, it also takes them longer to heal, the same goes with werewolves.
I'd also like to apologise for taking so long, but I'm on holiday now so I'll try to update more often. Please review.
The Reckoning Part 2
There was only a few seconds left on the clock
"Elena, you're going to have run." Stefan exclaimed while trying to keep himself away from her. Thalia was standing next to Elena across the gym from Stefan.
"But Klaus said that if I run..." Elena was interrupted by Stefan.
"I know what he said, but if you stay, it won't matter. Elena, please, please, please. Elena, there's no other way." He then turned to Thalia. "You have to get her out now!" Thalia grabbed Elena's arm and tried pushing her back towards the exit.
Elena shook her arm away from Thalia's grasp. "There is another way, Stefan. It's for you to fight." However her somewhat confident face dropped when the loud sound of the buzzer went off, but quickly it returned maybe even more confidently then before. "Stefan... I love you. Fight, Stefan. Don't give up."
"I can't hold it." Stefan said through gritted teeth. His fangs quickly formed in his mouth. He rushed at Elena who screamed but when she noticed he hadn't run into to her she looked up and saw that he ran into a wall, obviously trying to stop himself from harming her. "Elena, run! Go!" Thalia then pulled Elena again, who moved this time and they were both running down the hall. They run to a hall and open it but as soon as they run through it Elena runs into something hard. She looks up to see Klaus.
"We've got to stop meeting like this." He said. He then dragged both girls to the cafeteria, (although he did not grip Thalia's arm as hard as he gripped Elena's) where Stefan was standing with a wooden stake through his stomach.
"Now this is fascinating. I've never seen this before. The only thing stronger than your craving for blood is your love for this one girl. Why don't you turn it off?" Klaus could feel Thalia's stare at the side of his head, but he carried on any way.
"No!" Stefan grunted with the back of his throat.
"Come on. Your humanity is killing you. All the guilt must be exhausting. Turn it off." Thalia's hand gripped Klaus' arm, the one attached to the hand which was just a few moments ago holding her own arm. He tried to shake her off but she had a strong grip on him.
"No!" Stefan managed a bit louder this time.
"Stefan..." Elena mutters, not sure if should approach him.
"You're strong." Klaus wrenched his arm away from Thalia and moved to Stefan, removing the stake from his body. "But you're not that strong. Turn...it... Off."
"Klaus!" Thalia said, once again moving to him and gripping his arm, trying to get him away but she knew he was stronger.
"No!" Stefan tries to push Klaus away but Klaus pushes him back, against the wall.
"Klaus stop it!" Thalia screeched, moving towards him again and grabbing his arm, he acted on instinct and pushed her too. She landed on the ground with an audible "oomph". Klaus looked at her through the corner of his eye quickly to see if he had hurt her but when he found out he didn't his attention was back on Stefan and compelled him.
"Turn it off!" Klaus shouted. Stefan's expression changed.
"What did you do?" Elena asked him.
"I fixed him. But I think a test is in order, don't you?" Klaus asked. He noticed Thalia standing back up but didn't notice her hand going into the pocket of her jacket (which she had retrieved back when they were in the truck). Klaus stepped behind Elena. "Ripper... Perhaps you'd like a drink.. From the doppelgänger's neck?"
Stefan's face changed and he rushed to Elena but he never reached her, instead a pointy spear head sprouted from his stomach, a bit of electricity crackled at the point. None of them could have predicted this so they all just stared at the spear point.
Elena broke the near silence "Where do you keep that?" She asked. Thalia said nothing; she merely removed the spear from Stefan's body, which turned around to face her. The three supernatural beings watched as she made the spear collapse into a mace canister, which she placed back in her pocket.
They all continued to watch Thalia for a while, until the silence was once again broken, but this time by Klaus.
"Well Ripper, I believe I gave you a job to do" Thalia turned to him with a horrified look on her face but Klaus wasn't looking at her, he was watching Stefan bite into Elena's neck and drink her blood.
When Klaus could no longer feel her eyes on him, he turned to her to see her once again with her eyes glued to the floor. He hated seeing her like this, especially since it was him who caused it but he couldn't stop himself, he was a vampire and nothing could change him, not even the girl he loved.
After Stefan's drink, Klaus moved to her, holding a test tube and holding it against her neck which was bleeding, gathering some of her blood and leaving to find Tyler but not before sparing Thalia one last glance. Their eyes met, blue on blue, and hers looked so sad that he had to force himself to look away and leave.
The events after Klaus had given Tyler Elena's blood had sort of just blurred in Thalia's point of view and now she was standing outside the hospital with Klaus and Rebekah and even though they spoke she didn't pay attention and focused on her own thoughts.
She knew she felt something for Klaus, she knew they were strong but she couldn't put her finger around it. It was something she had never felt before tied in with a bunch of smaller feelings. However her thoughts were interrupted when another voice was heard to her side.
She looked over to see Damon standing there and she could barely hold off the smile that spread across her face. She was glad to see him and maybe leave with him and leave all the feelings behind.
"Well, look who finally decided to show up to the party." Klaus said without looking at Damon.
"Where is she?" Damon asks.
"Elena? Ah, she's making a donation to a greater cause." Damon starts moving to the hospital but stops when he hears Klaus's voice again. "I'm afraid I can't let you interfere, mate."
"You'll have to kill me." Damon turned to face Klaus. Thalia watched the two men talk.
"Oh, I would love to kill you, but I made a pledge to your brother, and unlike him, I keep my word. Although, you know what, thinking about it now, he probably doesn't care that much anymore." Klaus then pushed Damon against a car and was about to kill him.
"Klaus stop!" He heard Thalia shout. He turned his head toward her and Damon tilted his head to the side to get a better look at the girl.
"Stefan may not care about you breaking that promise to him but I do, and if I remember correctly you promised you never do anything to hurt me and killing Damon would hurt me."
Klaus looked at her for a while, still holding Damon and slowly let him go.
"Plus you wouldn't want to kill me without knowing about your friend Mikael?" Damon added at last.
Klaus's head quickly snapped back to Damon's "What do you know about Mikael?"
"Just that he knows you're here."
"You're bluffing."
"Katherine and I found him. Consider it our leverage." With a smirk from Damon Klaus left, using his vampire speed to get away. Damon then looks back at Thalia, who looks at him.
"Thanks by the way." Damon said.
"No problem." With that they walked into the hospital and brought Elena back to the Salvatore's.
Thalia was in the bathroom at the Salvatore's taking a much-needed shower. She thought about the day and Klaus, mostly Klaus. When she got frustrated with not being able to figure out her feelings, she aggressively turned off the shower and got out, warping a towel around her body. She stepped out of the bathroom and into her room only to stop at the door frame when she saw a man on her bed. Not just any man but Klaus. He was looking at something in his hand and she couldn't quite see it from her position but he turned his head to her when he heard her step out.
He looked her up and down with a small smile on his face. It just so happened to be the smile Thalia liked so much but his eyes had a different look, a look of hunger and need. Feeling self-conscious she wrapped her arms tighter around the top of the towel. When Klaus noticed he quickly turned away, back to the object in his hand.
"I didn't know you still had this." He said softly with a soft smile on his lips. Thalia craned her head upwards to see what lay in his hands but relaxed her body when he showed it to her. It was her camp necklace with the little star in the middle. The star Klaus had given her as a child.
In that moment Klaus looked so kind, so sweet, so gentle that Thalia couldn't help herself, she moved forward until she sat next to him on her bed. Both looking down at the necklace, remembering old memories.
Then they remembered where they and that Thalia was basically naked. Klaus stood up off the bed. "I've come to tell you we're leaving."
"Excuse me?" Thalia asked.
"We are going away from this town to find more werewolves and turn them into hybrids."
"Yes, but why am I a part of this 'we'?"
"Because I promised I wouldn't leave you again."
"I'm not going."
Klaus stared at her. "Why not?" he asked her.
"Because earlier this day you tried to kill Damon and had some other students killed. I'm not going because I don't want to witness that anymore. I'm tired of watching you hurt people."
"You do realise that where ever we are I'm still going to hurt people. I am a hybrid Thalia, I cannot help who I am."
"I know that Klaus, but I need a break from it okay? I can't deal with it now, first I've got to sort out my feelings and then get back to you."
"You have feelings for me?" Klaus's heart leaped at the chance of her sharing his feelings.
"No. Yes. I don't know. It's too complicated right now. I need to think things through."
Klaus walked to her and placed his hand under her chin and lifted it upwards. He then leaned down so that his lips were almost touching hers. "I will be back, I promise you that, in the meantime, I hope you get your feelings sorted out, I have sorted my own and I hope that when you've gotten everything sorted out we could talk about it. In the mean time, good bye. I'll see you soon." With that he leaned down so that his lips really did touch hers, it was very soft and gentle, something she was surprised about, thinking that he'd be rather rough when kissing someone after seeing him kiss her mother countless times. Then she realised, he had sex with her mother. She pushed him away with one arm, the other still holding the towel tightly.
Klaus was just about to ask her what happened but she spoke before he could. "You had sex with my mom." She said slowly. Understanding and feeling how awkward this probably was and it also probably didn't help with sorting out her feelings, he nodded and stepped away back to the window where Thalia guessed was how he got in.
"Good bye, Thalia." with that he was gone into the dark night.
That night she lay in bed trying to fall asleep, she held her necklace in her hand as she thought about what happened. Just when she was about to fall into slumber, in that perfect place between sleep and consciousness she realised, she may be falling in love with Klaus.
