Chapter 21: Leaving
Tonight is the night that we're leaving the city to explore what is beyond the fence. I am twenty one weeks pregnant and still haven't been able to eat much, I've still been getting cramps and pains, but I've been getting more than I was. We have plenty of food to take with us, thank god, the kitchen staff helped us a lot and Johanna has agreed to give us some food when we get to the Amity farms. We also have plenty of things to keep me warm and for the baby if it arrives when we're still out there. We also have weapons ready, just in case.
It is five o'clock in the afternoon and we aren't leaving until ten thirty because that is five minutes after the factionless stop guarding, it is when they all go to bars and get drunk for the rest of the night. Turns out the only people that are allowed to work after ten and before eight are the barkeeps, strippers, lap dancers and prostitutes because they're more 'important' than anyone else.
Zeke managed to change the security cameras footage around this area, to show that no one is leaving or whatever, without anyone knowing so we're all set to go.
Tobias, Christina, Will, Zeke, Shauna, Marlene, Lynn, Uriah, Hana, Tori, Harrison and Bud are packing everything into various bags whilst I sit on the sofa, eating a bagel.
When I'm done with my bagel I just sit there and watch Tobias packing a bag with stuff for the baby, like clothes, blankets, hats, a few toys, some diapers, bottles, formula milk, due to the lack of nutrition I am getting I'm not allowed to breastfeed, Hana is somewhere else in the room, packing things for the birth. I watch as the muscles in his arms get larger every time he bends them to put things in the bag. He's wearing a t-shirt so I can see it clearly.
He looks at me and smiles.
"Do you like what you see?" He asks in a sexy tone.
"Yes, I do very much like what I see." I answer.
"Guys, stop with the sex talk, please, I don't want another baby running around any time soon." Uriah says.
"One, the baby isn't born yet so there isn't a baby running around, also babies can't run until they learn how to walk and that takes about a year, maybe longer. And two, I think it's a bit too late for him to get me pregnant with twins, and a bit too early for him to get me pregnant again as I am still pregnant." I tell Uriah.
"Whatever?" He says before pouting.

It is now half ten and we are about to leave. Obviously the others are carrying the bags as they won't let me carry any of them, I mean, I'm already carrying a baby I shouldn't carry anything else, right?
Tobias opens the door and looks around, not finding any guards anywhere. We all walk out of the door and Tobias shuts and locks it behind us. He then takes my hand and leads us through his route of how to get out of Dauntless without getting caught.
When we get outside of Dauntless we all gather into the truck that we left there and Tobias gets in the drivers' seat, he starts driving us towards the fence, quietly. I am sitting in the back of the truck with everyone else. Hana gives me a muffin to snack on and I eat it without complaint.
When we arrive at the gate of the fence, which is already open, we get out of the truck to find Johanna waiting for us with a smile on her face.
"Tobias, Tris, it's nice to see you again." She says as she embraces Tobias and I. "Congratulations on the baby."
"Thank you." I say.
"Let's get back into the truck and I'll show you to where you can stay for the night and I'll get some food ready for you." She says.
We all nod and get back into the truck. Tobias in the drivers' seat and Johanna in the passengers' seat.
When we arrive at the place where we'll be staying for the night we get out of the truck, again, and Johanna shows us to our rooms. Tobias and I enter our designated room and lay on the bed.
"Goodnight Tris, I love you, and the baby." Tobias says.
"Goodnight Tobias, we love you too." I reply before closing my eyes and drifting off into a peaceful slumber.
Hey Ravens, sorry for the short chapter, I know it isn't that great of a chapter either but they'll be heading to the bureau in the next one then things will get exciting.
