Life during a war

Chapter 26: Finding

I slowly open my eyes to find I am in a dorm room, but not the one we used to be in, it's a different room. But I can tell we are still in the Bureau.

Everyone else are sitting on their beds, looking worried. I see that Tobias has pushed two single sized beds together for us, he is sitting on his, looking at me as he holds my hand.

"You're awake." He says, smiling, everyone looks at us and smile as they see me awake.

"What happened?" I ask.

"We were watching the trials of Caleb and Marcus, Evelyn had sentenced them to spend the rest of their lives outside of the fence and she told Marcus to make our lives hell. You were crying and left the room. I left as well and you fainted." He tells me.

Everyone comes over to us. Christina, Will, Marlene and Uriah sit on the bed with Tobias and I, the rest stand.

"Is the baby okay?" I ask, worried.

"Yeah, the baby's fine, Tris." Hana says, that's when I notice all of the equipment around the bed.

There is an ultrasound machine. One of the machines the can show baby's heart beats that have the straps and things you wrap around the stomach. There are other things as well, like an IV pole, etc.

"Where are we?" I ask.

"Amar allowed us to move rooms so we don't have to share a room with them, Peter is coming as well. Zoe has gone to get them from the fence. But we are on the other side of the compound now, there is a different dining hall that hardly anyone uses and they shouldn't be using it as they are closer to the main one. So we shouldn't see them at all. If we do, we'll protect you." Tobias says.

"Why is Peter coming as well?" I ask.

"Because he doesn't want to stay in the city, and he's close to Marcus and Caleb." Will says.

All I can do is nod. My brother, Tobias' father, and the person who tried to rape me and kill me in initiation, and also worked for Jeanine to hurt me, are coming to the Bureau and are going to try and make our lives worse than they have already made them, worse than they already are.

I feel tears pool in my eyes and Tobias embraces me as I start to cry.

"It's going to be okay, we're all going to be okay. I promise." He says in a soothing voice.

"I want my mum." I say, because it's true, I do want her.

"I know, but I'm here, we're all here. We're all going to be okay." He says.

I don't know how long we stay like this but it feels like hours. Amar strides into the room and over to us.

"They're here, but they're in the room you guys were in, I'll try and make sure they don't come over to this side of the compound." He tells us.

"Thanks." Tobias says.

Amar leaves the room again.

"Tris, do you want something to eat or drink?" Christina asks.

"Yeah please." I say.

"Okay, I'll get you something." She says, she stands and walks over to the bag of food we have finding something for me to eat and drink.

Tobias' POV:

It is late at night and everyone is asleep except for me. It's hard to sleep knowing that three people that have already made our lives hell and are going to try and do that again are in the same building as us.

I look over at Tris, the most beautiful and amazing woman in this planet and smile sadly. She's been through so much, she left her home to go to Dauntless, she's Divergent, she almost got raped and killed during initiation, the war started, she's lost her parents, she's pregnant, her brother betrayed her, she's been beaten and tested on, she almost lost the baby, she lost her home, the three people that have done the most horrible things to her are here, in this compound, wanting revenge. She has lost so much, been through so much. I just want to take all of this pain from her and have it for myself.

I decide to get up and go for a walk, but not before grabbing my gun, just in case I see Caleb, Peter, or Marcus.

I leave the room and walk down the hall, there are doors that lead to God knows what, all of them are shut, except one.

The one that is at the very end of the hall. I walk over to it and open it quietly, I hear yells, female yells. Yells of pain. There are stairs. I walk down them. Slowly. Quietly.

I hear a voice. A man's voice. An angry man's voice. It sounds like David.

"You left me! You left us! You didn't do what I wanted you to do! I was going to send someone else! But you left instead! You're selfish! You didn't go to Erudite like I told you to on your choosing day!" He shouts, I hear a whip hitting flesh and a yell.

I walk closer to the noise, pulling out my gun as I do. I see light from an open door. I walk closer. And closer. Until I get to the open door.

I spin on my feet and see something I never thought I'd see.

David, the leader of the Bureau, he has his back to me, whipping Natalie Prior.

I shoot David in the back, he screams as he falls to the floor, eventually losing consciousness.

I run over to Natalie to see she is still awake, but barely. There is a screen on the wall, like a TV which shows Tris and everyone sleeping in the dorm. Has she had to watch everything her daughter has gone through?

"Four?" She asks weakly.

"Yeah, it's me. I'm going to get you out of here. It's okay." I say to her, looking at the tears that have fallen down her cheeks.

"Four, you're a good man, you know." She says, she's getting weaker, and sleepier.

"This is going to hurt, okay." I say before placing an arm under her knees and my other arm around her shoulders, supporting her neck. I lift her up and she yelps. "Sorry. I have to get you out of here." I say before leaving the room.

"You're going to be a great dad." She says, so she has been watching, everything.

She loses consciousness and I start running towards our dorm room.

Hey Ravens, how are you?

I am going to rant again because people are complaining about the Insurgent official trailer now and it is annoying me so much.

Just because they changed the reason that Jeanine is hunting the Divergents doesn't give people reason to complain, as I said before they can't keep everything the same for various reasons, like copyright and the fact they want to appeal to people that haven't read the book as well as the people that have. Veronica was there when they filmed meaning that she must have agreed to what they were doing because otherwise they would have changed it, she knows what she wants from the movies, and if she liked it then shouldn't the people who like the books like it as well?

Also, just because in the trailer it looks like Tris gets over her fear of intimacy when she's supposed to do that in Allegiant doesn't give you a reason to complain. I thought you guys loved Fourtris, you ship them, so don't you want them to have sex. Also, you don't know what leads up to that moment, maybe she was scared and insecure but Tobias may say something that gives her reason to want to have sex with him. As I keep saying they can't keep everything exactly the same.

I really want people to appreciate the work these people do, because they work long hours to make a film that people are going to enjoy, they work so hard to make something that is going to entertain us and people don't seem to appreciate that. If you don't know already, Shai has Scoliosis, which is a curvature of the spine and I have it as well. Yes, every scoliosis is different, but, no matter how bad the curve is you are still in pain, whether it's constant pain or the pain comes and goes, you still get pain. Yet, she spends her time making these movies for us, she probably gets pain in her back but she still works to make films that we are going to enjoy because she cares about us and wants to entertain us. But people go around complaining about it and don't seem to realise that they work so hard, whether they have a disability or not, whether they injure themselves or not, whether they're sick or not, trying to make a film that we are going to enjoy. It upsets me when people write comments like 'Omg, her hair looks ugly', 'That bit wasn't in the book', 'It looked nothing like the book' because they worked hard for us, to make a film we will enjoy and people don't appreciate that.

Shai is a human being, she can have her hair however she wants her hair. She had to cut it to play Hazel. Tris cuts her hair in the book anyway.

So why do you people complain about her hair?

Why do you people complain about the trailers? You know they can't keep everything exactly the same. You know that but you complain. They probably will still have some things like they were in the book. They will probably have some quotes from the book. But they work hard to make a film for us. Day and night. For months. For us.

I am a film student and I know how hard it is in the film industry. You have to find someone to distribute your film, but they won't unless they like it. Obviously Summit Entertainment liked it, otherwise they wouldn't be distributing it.

They put so much time and money into making a film for us and people complain about it before the movie has even come out. I know that not everyone is going to like it, but you can't complain about stupid things when you know they can't copy the book exactly. You know Veronica was there to assist them when they filmed, so she obviously had to like what they were doing, and if she did you should too if you liked the books. You know Shai cut her hair for a reason, and you know that Tris cuts her hair in the book, so stop slagging it off. Please.

I'm sure the movie is going to be great. It looks awesome, and just because they changed some things doesn't give you reason to complain.

In the trailer you see Marlene jumping off the roof in Dauntless under the simulation; that was in the book. Tris doesn't want anyone else to die because of her, you know that if you read the book. That's why she goes to Erudite. You know Tris has to fight herself, because it was in the book. Sure it's done differently but who cares, it was in the book. You know Caleb worked or Jeanine, because it was in the book. You know they go to Amity, and Candor, and the Factionless, because it was in the book. You know the factionless and the good Dauntless join forces, because it's in the book. You know there are fights, because it was in the book.

So please stop complaining just because they have done things slightly differently and think about what they do for us. This is their interpretation of it, which Veronica worked on with them, and it looks good.

Stop complaining over stupid things and appreciate what they have done for us.

Sorry for the rant but it had to be said.
