Busy with his work, his training, his duties, he hardly ever had time to think, let alone do simple things such as smiling, laughing, having fun and enjoying life. Chapter 4

Syaoran's P.O.V.

God, that interview was so boring! I'm so glad I'm finally home, in my soft, soft bed. I suppose…I'll think about everything that happened, because whenever I take some time and relive it, it doesn't bother me for a few weeks, at least.

--Flashback—

The door opened as a lady entered the large but bare room. Staring at the 6-year old boy who was sitting in the corner of the room with cold eyes, she forced a smile on her face and walked upto him.

"Here, Syaoran dear. You've been sulking all day. You haven't even taken your medicine, and it's time for your injection soon. Eat these pills, and be a good boy." She said in a fake-sweet voice.

"No! Leave me alone! I hate you all! I want to go home!" Yelled the poor boy.

Immediately the smile on the woman's face dropped off. "Listen, you Li kid. I'm paying a lot of money for you to be trained. Don't you want to be strong?"

"No! I won't do anything you give me! I want to go HOME!"

"Okay then. If you love your family, you're going to do what I tell you. You're going to help me with my experiment, do you hear me? I said, DO YOU HEAR ME?"

Afraid for his family – his mother, His father, his sisters, the young child reluctantly agreed. Everyday after that he wished he hadn't, but thoughts of his family kept him going.

Around 6 years later

"Ah, Li Syaoran. Our most successful experiment…err…I mean warrior. Happy 13th birthday. We trained you well. I heard you had something to tell us? It better not be anything I don't like." The man said, his eyes flashing. He was seated on a throne-like chair, with the lady that had first threatened Syaoran years ago. He was called The Cobra by all, while she was The Python. They did have 'real' names, but no-one except them, knew. If anyone did find out, they mysteriously disappeared.

"Well then, I am sorry to disappoint you, for I am here to tell you that I am fed up of all the drugs you have been injecting into me and those that you have been forcing me to eat all these years. I am fed up of living like a prisoner, only going out when I am being trained, or during 'special occasions'. You're trying to make me perfect, but I hate it! I'm hardly living! So I've decided…" Pausing to take a breath, ignoring the astonished look of the 'courtiers' around him, he continued, "I've decided that I am leaving this hellhole, right here, right now."

With that he turned around, and walked out. You see, if anyone wanted to escape from there, they easily could. There was hardly any security. Everyone, all the 'experiments' could, but the question was, would they? They were all threatened with losing someone close to them, forever. They were also made aware of the fact how powerful Cobra and co. was in Japan. So nobody dared.

Except now. Li Syaoran had left.

2 Days Later

"I'm so excited, mother! Our Syaoran's coming back! We haven't seen him in years!" Squealed a very excited Fanran.

"I know! I wonder what he looks like!" Said an equally excited Feimei.

"Well, why don't you have a look yourself?" Everyone's head shot towards the young man that had just entered the room.

A moment later, he was in the midst of a lot of hugging, squealing and pinching as his sisters – Fanran, Feimei, Fuutie and Sheifa. On being ordered to, they moved out of the way for their parents to have a look at their son. Syaoran bowed down to them, in a gesture of respect. This surprised, but pleased them, and Syaoran was soon wrapped in their arms.

"Mother, father, I have to tell you about that, that place you sent me to." He said, somewhat bitterly.

"Yes, Xiao Lang," Said his mother, addressing him with his Chinese name. "We will hear everything you have to say to us, but right now we have to be somewhere. We will talk to you tonight. This appointment is very important. I apologize. Wei will show you your room. Goodbye, children."

Syaoran nodded, hiding his extreme disappointment perfectly. A meeting was more important to them than their long-lost son? Fine, he could deal with that. No problem.

Half an hour later

Looking up, the five siblings found a police officer in the room. "I have some bad news. Your parents have been involved in a car crash. I am sorry. Neither made it out alive."

An hour later

Syaoran was here, at the site where the car had crashed. They had been here for 45 minutes. Syaoran wanted to move, run, scream, shout, yell, cry; even comforting his sisters was better than this. But he couldn't do any of them. He was too transfixed by the sight of the dead Cobra near the overturned car.

This was his entire fault.

So, there you go! Syaoran's past! Now I think I'll take a break because I've been writing this chapter and I haven't noticed the time … 3:30 already! But I managed 3 chapters today, and maybe one more after the break?

Anyway, Review please because I'm writing so fast!
