I think this chapter will get my story 10,000 words…So how do you all like the story so far? This chapter doesn't have Sakura's past, but her friend's views on what Sakura was like before and after everything happened…I think I might keep you in suspense a bit longer about the gunshot and everything. Review, please!

Summary: She was always good at hiding. Hiding objects, people, herself and her emotions. Hiding her emotions to the extent that even she couldn't realize them. She preferred it this way, because this way she never needed to tell people everything and more importantly, trust them. He was always a bit ahead of everyone, running from his emotions. Busy with his work, his training, his duties, he hardly ever had time to think, let alone do simple things such as smiling, laughing, having fun and enjoying life. When these two crash, and are forced to trust each other when faced against a mutual enemy, will they manage? Or will they go down before that? Read to find out...

Chapter 7

Tomoyo P.O.V.

Sakura Kinomoto is my cousin, and more importantly, my best friend. We always share everything with each other. Well, we did. We knew each other better than we knew ourselves, till Sakura's 10th birthday. When she came back she was different. How? Well, we'll just compare her from before and from after:-

--Flashbacks--

Before

A 4 year old girl was sitting on the door-step in front of her house, crying her eyes out. She had soft auburn hair, and emerald green eyes. She was soon joined by another girl the same age; she had dark hair and, currently, worried violet eyes.

"What's w'ong Sakuwa (What's wrong Sakura?)?" The dark-haired girl asked.

"'Moyo, Mommy says fishy gone away, because he got mawwied (married)! I don't want fishy to go, fishy fwend." Said the child, bursting into a fresh round of tears.

"Don't cwy, Sakuwa. (Don't cry, Sakura) We can go visit Fishy sometimes, and I'll be you' fwend! (And I'll be your friend)" Said the young child, Tomoyo, unaware that the fish had swam over to the great pond of heaven. (A/N – Hehe…the great pond of heaven)

"Really?" Said Sakura, referring to both meeting her fishy, and Tomoyo being her friend.

"Yep! I Pwomise! (Promise)" Replied Tomoyo, before hugging her new friend into a hug.

After

A girl, 14 years of age, sat on the same doorstep on which nearly 10 years ago she and Tomoyo had promised to be friends, just a few days after they learnt the word. This was where she had sat down when her pet goldfish had died, and this was where she was sitting, staring into space, as soon as she found out about her puppy's horrible fate.

The poor creature had run off as soon as Sakura let go of the leash for a second, and blindly ran in front of a car. A 'sorry' from the car driver did not bring him back, though.

The girl's best friend, Tomoyo, exited the house, and closing the door, sat down next to her.

"Are you sure you're alright, Sakura?" Asked the very concerned Tomoyo.

"Hmm…?" Mumbled the very dazed looking Sakura. She stared at Tomoyo, without seeing her for a few moments and then her eyes cleared. "What did you say, Tomoyo?" She continued.

"I asked you if you were alright…"

"Oh, yeah, sure." Getting up, Sakura gave one last glance at her best friend before going into the house, but before closing the door, she said, "Don't worry, Tomoyo. We'll just get another puppy, if you want one. I certainly don't."

This sentence, of course, just made the incredibly confused Tomoyo worry more.

Eriol's P.O.V

I know Syaoran's my cousin, and all. But I've known Sakura longer, and I love and care about her more, to be honest. (A/N- In a friendly way because Tomoyo's his girlfriend)

I met them both, Sakura and Tomoyo I mean, when we were all five. Well, actually, I met Sakura first, because she was the one who spilt her juice on me in kindergarten, while Tomoyo handed me a box of tissues. Sakura kept apologizing; saying how 'sowwy' she was, and giving me pleading looks, till eventually, I forgave her. You know, whether you're 5, or 50, you can not stay mad at Sakura.

Or, well, you couldn't, then. Before.

She was also very friendly, because within five days after the spilt juice incident, she had made friends with Rika, Naoko, Chiharu, Takashi, Tereda, Jake and Reisha. Soon, they became friends with me and Tomoyo too. She would agree with anyone when they asked to be her friend.

When she first returned from her 'Family- friend's' house, she was completely horrible. She was cold, and unfeeling. But through the years, her optimistic and happy side came back. It was worse though, because now she was always happy, never sad, never angry, and she never seemed to trust anyone to be alone with them in the same room for more than 10 minutes. Or maybe, she didn't trust herself.

How to prove she has changed? Well, we'll have a look in the section of my diary that says how:-

--Flashback--

"Hey, Sakura! Wait up! I need to talk to you! Sakura!" Yelled a 14 year-old boy. Catching up to the auburn-haired beauty, he continued, "I just wanted to know if you might want to go out with me this Friday?"

His hopeful eyes stared at her blushing, but shocked face. Suddenly, she started laughing, though it sounded very forced. "Me and you?! It would never work out! Don't be silly, Joshua!"

"But, but R- someone told me that you liked me too, and even if it doesn't work out, we could at least go on a… on a get to know each other outing! I like you a lot Sakura!"

For a second, there was a look of extreme sadness in her eyes, but it soon disappeared. She rolled her eyes and wordlessly, she walked away, without a second glance at the boy she did have a crush on. Only Eriol, who had been watching the whole scene, caught the girl's whispered words as the wind carried them down to him.

"I can't risk falling in love with you, Joshua. It would be a relationship without trust, there would be too many lies and secrets, so it might as well not exist."

From then on, Joshua avoided Sakura, and even though she occasionally had sad looks on her face the next day, she also had triumphant looks as if she'd accomplished something big.

Tomoyo's P.O.V

Sakura never, ever gets angry, now. She never gets sad either. But she got angry at Syaoran, so there might be hope for her still. I want her back. I want her to be genuinely happy again.

Eriol's P.O.V

If I knew that Syaoran would make Sakura snap again, I would've made them meet when years ago, as soon as I met him. But you see, I didn't, and maybe by now Sakura's walls are too strong to be broken by even him. Still, there's a slight chance he may be able to, and who knows, maybe she'll break his walls too? The chances of that happening are 1 to 99, but what was that word again, at the end of the movie 'Charlie's Angels'? Oh yeah…

Faith.

Hey! I was watching Charlie's Angel's before writing this chapter, which is how I came up with the Faith thing. Anyway, please review, or else I'm going to stop writing the story and then you can go figure out Sakura's past and everything by yourself. So…REVIEW!!
