I woke up once I felt Nessie get up. "Claire, hey. How are you doing?" "Pissed that's all" "Give him a break-" "A break! That's all that I've given him since I've meet him" Claire was paused. "What?" "Did you know that he liked me?" Claire asked. Nessie didn't say anything. "Nessie" "Yeah I knew" "Who told you?" "Well I kinda had a feeling but I managed to get it out of Quil" "And you were just never gonna tell me" "It wasn't my secret to tell Claire. You know if Quil hadn't asked me to keep it a secret from you, I would have told you the second I found out" "And how long have you know "About a year or two" "Ughh. Nessie what I'm i gonna do? I mean I like him too but I can't be with someone who acts like that when we're not even together yet" "Just give him a chance Claire" "I don't I know he hasn't called to explain anything since it happened" "Jake give him a couple of more shifts that's probably why. But please before you say anything let him talk first. Well I have to go, I'll talk to you soon" "Okay" Nessie came back into the room. Nessie got on the bed and sat on her knees. "That was Claire" "Oh yeah how is she doing" "Well you know her. she's never really liked the whole werewolf thing from the start. That's the main reason why she's so upset about everything" "Nessie about last night-" Nessie gently put her hand on my cheek to silent me. I looked into her dark chocolate browns eyes. She give me a light smile. "I trust you. I thought about it and the same goes for me too. And your right" Nessie put her other hand on my cheek and moved closer to me. She was inches away and she looked deep into to my eyes. She slowly moved her right hand down to my neck and then to back of my neck. "You are not Sam... so stop trying so hard to be" I took Nessie's hand from my cheek and I wrapped my fingers with hers. I looked at her as she looked back at me. For some reason I wanted to kiss her but that slowly faded away. Even when I had the most beautiful girl in the world just inches away from me and knowing that she likes me I couldn't get myself to feel what she wants me to feel. I couldn't get myself to kiss her. Nessie looked away from me and I looked away from her and our moment was gone. Nessie head shot back to the window "Seth" I heard her whispered. "What?" I questioned. Nessie appeared next to the window and she opened it and looked outside. I guess she didn't see anything so she turned to look at me then she started to walk towards the door with a confused look on her face. Right when Nessie got by her door way. I heard a howl. Any member of the pack can hear each other howl no matter where we were and we only did that to get everyone together but we have different howls even though it sounds the same to everyone else. This howl was different louder longer then I remembered the howl. A howl we haven't done in years. The emergency howl, the warning howl, the howl letting us know that vampires were near. I quickly jumped out the window phasing into my wolf form when I landed on the ground. All these voices came rushing into my mind but I toned all those voices out once I hear Nessie yell my name. I looked up to see her and she was looking out the window at me. I could see from where I was standing that Nessie eyes moved and my eyes followed. There I saw Seth coming out from the trees. *im sorry man but we have a vampire problem* -Seth *there headed your way* -Quil *how many are there Leah* I asked *im getting four different scents*- leah *you have to get Nessie out of that house. QUICK"- Collin *there are billions of people in the world why is every vampire always after her. Why is she-* Leah *not now Leah!*- Seth With everyone talking more like thinking I didn't noticed that Nessie was right next to me until she spoke. "W-What's going on?" She said with her voice shaky. As the wind blow, me and Seth sniffed the air at the same time. I could smell them getting closer and I think as we smelled them, they smelled Nessie and moved faster. Edward once told me that our wolf scents didn't mask Nessie's the way it does for a human. He said that Nessie scent itself was so strong and so unique that's it masked ours. Though Jasper did say that Nessie scent disappears the second we hug her but then shortly returns. Seth picked up Nessie and she landed on his back. Nessie quickly positioned herself and wrapped her arms. *ill take Nessie to her parents cottage* Seth said and took off with Nessie, shortly after so did I. It's only took us about an hour to drive away the vampires. We all had a hard time fighting them off because we haven't fought vampires in years. I went to Edward's and Bella's cottage where I found Nessie and Seth arguing. "Okay? You want me to be okay with this. Seth you guys are risking your life-" "It's what we do Nessie it's what were born to do. I'm gonna be honest your life is much more important to me than anyone else so of course I will protect this town but it's my job to protect you first" "That's just it Seth it's not. It's not yours it's not Jakes it's no ones. I will not have anyone to be risked at death to keep me alive!" Nessie yelled. "Come on, have a little faith in what we do. When are you ever gonna understand-" Seth said trying to calm her down. "And when are you ever gonna realize that I don't want you to get hurt" Nessie said calm putting her hand on Seth's cheek. I moved and Nessie's head quickly shoot back in the direction I was in. "Hey are you okay? Is everyone else okay?" She panicked. I nodded. "Okay" she relaxed. "Now that Jake is here I'm gonna go" Seth said then phased. *Get back to me on your sister I think her arm might be broken* I said *Alright, I'll check back with you on that* *Seth, call Edward. Two vampire managed to get away* *dammit. Okay* I phased back into my human form and put on my clothes. I walked into the cottage "Wow it's worst than I thought" Nessie said to me. "Let me take a look" She said. I didn't know what she was talking about until I looked down at my shirt which was white and had a giant red spot around my arm. I was bleeding "It's not gonna stop blooding" she said and disappeared and then came with a first aid kit. "Sorry, sorry" Nessie said. "It's okay. You got better at this" "Yeah well I needed to stop depending on Carlisle and my father whenever I got hurt at some point" I chuckled. "Yeah that too but I meant with the blood" I said. Nessie got up and got more napkins and began again "I'm not breathing Jacob" "It doesn't matter how you do just that you do it" "Yeah I guess your right about that but to be honest it's easier with you" she smiled at him. "What I don't smell as good as everyone else" "Quite the opposite actually" "So I smell good to you" "Delicious" "Is it hard?" I asked. I looked at her but she just looked at my bleeding arm. She got a needle and began to stitch me up. "Yeah it is and it gets worse as I age" "How do you handle it" "I run away from it" "Why aren't you running now?" She looked at me. "Because dispute everything your my Jacob and I would rather be died to know I hurt you or fed on you".
