I asked Charlie where Nessie was and all he said was she was on some trip with her friend and would be back some time next week. I waited for her of course everyday until she came back.

"Hey, where have you been all week?" I asked as Nessie came inside Charlie's house with a luggage bag. I took the luggage from her and started to go upstairs. She followed.

"Thank you. I was with the Gilberts. The school had this weird pipe problem so Jeremy's parents asked me if i want to stay with them in their lake house until it's was time to go back to school and Charlie said it was fine"

"Oh" I said putting the luggage on her bed. She unzipped it and looked at me.

"I'm sorry, I didn't call. I-I was just having so much fun with them-"

"Yeah, you always did" i said sitting on her bed. I've noticed that every time she spends time with them, she always comes back super happy.

"I don't think I've ever seen a family so perfect. A little bit jealous actually" she joked.

"Your family seems perfect to me"

"My family is no where near perfect" she said. Her mood completely changed. She tried to find it from me by turning away from me and dumping all her clothes into a basket.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"Nothing. I'm fine" she was lying but she quickly changed the subject.

"Hey. Where are all the guys?" She asked.

"La Push. I think"

"Let's go"

Nessie and I arrived at La Push. We walked on the beach until we found the pack.

"I don't think I'll ever understand why you guys like jumping off that cliff" Nessie said.

"You only say that because you can't swim" i said. Shockingly that was the one thing she wasn't good at.

"The ocean is a very dangerous. There are sharks and other creatures that we don't know about. Plus we know more about the surface of the moon then we do for the ocean so like I said. Ocean very dangerous"

"Yeah because the land is so much safer with all the vampires and werewolves-" she laughed a little

"Come on Nessie just get in"

"Jake you been tryna get me to go swimming for the last 16 years. What part of it's not gonna happen aren't you getting"

"Well because this time I'ma gonna put a sad face on when I say 'come swimming with me' and I promised I won't let you drown like Emmett did" When Nessie was little. She was with Emmett playing in some river near their house. I don't really know exactly what happened but the main part was that she was drowning. Emmett save her in time of course but she's never been near the water since and Emmett was no longer allowed to take care of her alone. I mean she almost died and he also lost her too.

"Oh you think just because you give me those puppy eyes and that puppy dog face that I'm just gonna-"

"Oh is that a dog joke" Nessie started laughing. I quickly wrapped my arms around her and picked her up

"Jake-Jacob" she laughed. She didn't like to be lifted so I quickly put her down and she playfully punched me and walked away from me. I pulled her back to me but apparently to much because she was inches away from my face. She didn't move. She just stood there looking at me. I leaned in for a

Claire yelled and Nessie's head shot back and she quickly broke away from me.

"Hey guys" she yelled happy walking towards. It was Claire, Quil, Jared, Kim, Embry, Brady, and Collin. Then Seth appeared to be coming behind them.

"Where the hell have you been Loca?!" Seth yelled back. I watched Nessie inhaled then appeared hugging Seth.

Nessie and Seth where sitting on the beach separated from everyone else. They were just there talking.

"It really kills you to see how close they are. Doesn't it?" Claire asked.

"She'll just never trust me the way... She trust him"

"Have you tried telling Seth?" She asked.

"No " i said and shook my head.

"Why not?"

"Because everytime she feels down. He's always there to pick her up and I can't do that for here" Claire signed

"Why the hell are you guys like that? Nessie like you and you know sometimes. When us girls really like someone all we need and all we want is for you guys to see that, no where what you guys will always be the ones to make us feel happy, even if you guys weren't the ones to cheer us up in the first place" Claire said putting her hand on my shoulder and then walked away. I looked over to Nessie and Seth. Nessie was smiling

A Couple Of Days Later

"Hey" i greeted. Nessie didn't turn around.

"Nessie" i said. She turn around and screamed a little. She had her earphones in her ear so she didn't hear me come in. I scared her.

"What it kill you to use the front door" Nessie always complained everytime I came in through the window but yet she always left it wide open for me.

"But it's so much funnier that way" i looked around the room and most of her clothes were on her bed and on the floor.

"Going some where?" I asked.

"Actually yeah. I was invited to a party"

"What? You're seriously thinking about going to a party"

"Yeah"

"Do you know what happens at parties?"

"Yeah I do okay and there not the type of parties that you go to"

"Nessie your not going"

"And why the hell not? "

"Because they're are gonna alcohol and I'm pretty sure drug use and"

"Ugh listen I'm half a vampire Jacob, nothing is going to happen to me plus Seth and Quil are gonna be there. I'm pretty sure they'll keep their eye on"

"Then I'm going too"

"What? Jake you weren't even invited"

"Then I'll be your plus one... I'll come by and you up"

We arrived at the party. The house was huge bigger than the Cullens. The house was near a small river so there was half naked kids everywhere. It didn't take long for someone to recognize Nessie.

"Carlie, hey" a girl approach us. Nessie turned around with a confused look on her face.

"Hi?" Nessie said. The girl keep looking at me.

"I didn't know you had a boyfriend" she didn't stop looking at me.

"No. He's not my boyfriend" Nessie said.

"Interesting. Here try this" the girl said handing a cup to Nessie.

"So what's your name?" The girl asked me

"Jacob" i answered. Then she got close to me and put arms around my neck.

"That is the hottest name I have ever heard. Just like your the hottest guy I have ever seen" she flirted. Nessie drank what I know was alcohol and rolled her eyes and walked away.

Jasmine was the girl's name. She was drinking the whole time. Nessie was with Seth, Quil, Claire, Jeremy, Matt and some other people i didn't know sitting around a fireplace. Jasmine was so drunk that she couldn't tell that wasn't interested but I kept her around because from time to time, I would catch Nessie looking in my direction. So I decided that I was gonna use Jasmine to make Nessie jealous. I knew it was wrong to use Jasmine that way but she wouldn't remember this any way. Everything was going according to plan up until the people at the fireplace slowly started leaving which left Nessie alone with some guy. I saw Nessie talking with him.

I couldn't find Seth, Quil, or Claire so I just stared at them. She was smiling and laughing then the guy moved closer to her and that's where I stepped in.

"Come on Nessie, we're leaving"

"What? No" she sounded like she had been drinking too.

"Who's this?" The guy asked. Who had also been drinking.

"No one" Nessie answered.

"We're leaving"

"No. Your leaving I'll just go home by myself"

"Hell no, you can just stay over" the guys said. Nessie stood up.

"See problem solved. I'll stay with Tyler" she said barely have the balance to stand up straight. Wait did she say Tyler. I took Nessie by the hand. But then Tyler stepped in.

"Lady doesn't wanna go. Lady is not going" he said also getting up and got in my face

"And what are you gonna do it?" I asked him

"Jake stop. I'll go. I'll go" Nessie said getting in between us.

"Bye Ty. Great party by the way"

I drove Nessie to my house. I couldn't risk Charlie seeing her like this. He would never let me see her again. Nessie fell asleep on the way there but woke up once I closed the car door. I helped her out the car.

"Hey, that doesn't look like Charlie's house... I'm fine I can walk" she said with a attitude so let her go but she also fell right after but I caught her before she did and picked her up.

I laid her down on my bed and took off her ear rings, necklace, and shoes. Right when I was about to close the door

"You know I don't understand you" i heard her say so I came back in.

"I mean you claim you don't like me but yet you act like some jealous boyfriend very time some guys comes and talks to me"

"Nessie-" she cut me off

"Is this some type of game to you. Jacob I've said what I wanted us to be and you turned me down. And the only reason I'm here is because you've been in my life for so long that I've missed you when you were gone. But trust me you wouldn't be in my life if I didn't" she said and got under the covers and turned her back to me

I put a chair in my room just in case she needed something. I watched over her and didn't sleep. In about a couple of hours. She began to wake up.

"Oh god" she said holding her head.

"Good afternoon" i greeted sleep as hell. Nessie quickly looked under the bed covers and whispered to what I think was 'Thank god'. Did she think that she had sex with someone? She looked about the room confused

"Your in my room" I said. She finally saw me and signed in relief.

"Jacob" she whispered and sat up still holding her head.

"Im tryna remember how I got here" she said looking down kinda in pain. Good she didnt remember anything so she wouldnt remember what happened.

"Is this how a hangover suppose to feel?" She asked and looked at me.

"Well by looks of it you have it pretty easy"

"I didn't even know my head could hurt like this" she said. I opened a pack of Alka-Seltzer and dropped the tablets in the water I had out for her already.

"I'm sorry Jake, I've should of listen to you" she said

"Nessie you don't have to apologize to me. You've been acting human, wouldn't take long for this type of stuff to happen. You know I'll always been here to take of you" i said and handed her the cup. She drank it all at once and then coughed a little.

"EWW" She said in disgusted. I laughed a little at the face she made at me.

"Yeah you were suppose to drink it all at once" i said. She looked down at the cup then back at me.

"You were right I shouldnt have gone in the first place... You wanna know why I was drinking so much" she asked me. I was afraid to ask. It would be possible that I let her to drink so much because I was trying to make her jealous

"Why?" I still asked.

"Because for the first time in a long time" she looked at me. "I was craving human blood" Wow I wasn't expecting that.

"You didn't hurt anyone though" I said trying to make her feel better.

"Because of you... and Seth. Every time the cravings got worse I looked at you guys and it just kinda went away" she said

"Try and get some more sleep. l call Charlie and tell me your here"
