"I did something. Something I know Nessie wouldn't like and by the she reacted when I was spending so much time with Alana. I knew that if she ever found out I knew she would hate me. But it started off as something that I needed to do" i said.
"Yeah i understand. You needed to know if you had any old feeling towards Alana before you could move on with Nessie. It's understandable" Claire said.
"No, what I did she would probably never forgive me"
"Jacob what would you have possibly done that-" Claire paused and thought about it.
"Really Jacob!" She yelled at me.
"It just happened"
"No, kissing just happens! Dammit Jacob you had sex with Alana and!-" Claire was yelling again but quickly stopped and closed her eyes
"Aww crap" she whispered and tilted her head to the side singling me to look. I turned around knowing that Nessie would be standing there and she was. She walked right pass me, she didnt talk to me, she didn't even look at me.
"Here's Umm my notebook that you wanted. Everything your missing I should have. It's alright been graded so i don't need it. Take as much time as you need to give it back" Nessie said. Claire just nodded her head and took the notebook.
"Nessie" i said and got up from my chair.
"i have to go" she said instantly and then disappeared.
I was planning on going after her but Claire stopped me
"Jacob, just let her go. You know how she is just give her a moment to calm down"
"Claire, I have to go talk to her"
"if you go after her right now. You'll talk to angry Nessie. Like I said before give her time to relax. Besides, its also give you time to figure out what your gonna say to her" Claire said. She was right so I decided to wait.
I ran to the Cullen's house in my wolf form, while I was running something attacked me and before I knew it I was thrown into the air and crushing into several trees until I finally hit the ground but I quickly got back up to face my attacker.
It was Edward.
*What the hell was that for?* i yelled. Edward was pissed, he had this evil look in his eyes that I've never seen before and that I will never forget. He truly did look like a bloodsucking demon at this moment. Then I realized what would cause him to act this way. It was because of Nessie.
"Stop it Jacob, you knew that was coming to you" he said.
*Edward, i can explain-* i began but I forced to stop. Edward had me by the throat and was choking me.
"Shut up! My daughter is hurting because of you!" he threw me again. My body started to hurt and as it started to heal itself at the same time. Then Edward speeded over to me and kicked me. Again and again and again even harder each time.
"And that's just a little reminder that just because I tolerate you doesn't mean that I like you or that I like you for my daughter"
*I know and that's never stopped me before. Whether you like it or not, I always be in her life. Until she orders me to leave but until she does you and your family are stuck with me* i said. Edward knew that taking me away from Nessie will hurt her and would mean less protection from her. That's the only reason he's kept me around for this long.
"Well see about that. She doesn't want to see you right now so stay the hell away from her and if I caught you here unannounced again. I won't hold back" he threatened then vanished.
I was still in the process of healing when I went to the closest home near me since Nessie didn't wanna see me right now, Jared's house.
I opened his front door and nearly fell. Kim was there and she rushed over to me.
"Oh my god Jacob, are you okay?" She asked.
"Yeeah" i said then yelled a little. I knew nothing was broken because I wouldn't have made it over here.
"Jared!" Kim yelled. Jared came rushing over.
"Damn Jacob, what happened to you?" He asked. Before i could say anything Collin and Brady came in laughing.
"I can tell you what happened. Jake got his ass handed to my Edward" Brady said and they all started laughing even Kim a little.
"What happened?" she asked.
"Nessie found out that Jacob was doing the dirty with Alana" Brady joked.
"So Edward kicked his ass" Collin said
Jared and Kim weren't laughing any more. They put up on serious faces. The only fools that were still laughing was Collin and Brady while they acted out what happened between me and Edward. Kim had joined Emily and Rachel to the list of girls that knew about imprinting. She knew that I imprinted on Nessie and Quil imprinted on Claire. She knew everything about us and made her keep it a secret from them.
I looked outside and there stood Seth, in his wolf form. He shook his head at me and run off.
Days went by, Nessie didnt talk to me or anyone not even Seth. Nessie also stopped going to school, Seth said that the teachers told him that they got a phone call by a doctor saying she was very sick and was hospitalized. None of us hadnt been our normal selves since she's been gone. Everytime I looked at Seth, I was waiting for him to tell me off like he always did but he didn't even bother but we talked more avoiding to talk about Nessie of course. It felt good having Seth back in my life, I never realized how much I missed him.
I tried calling Nessie several times but her phone just rings. I called Charlie once and he told me that Rosalie was back in town and that Nessie was staying with at the Cullen's house until she had to leave again. So I called the Cullen's house hoping Bella would be the one to pick up but the phone also just rang.
One night while the pack and i were on patrol, i passed by the area that separated Quillete territory and Cullen territory. Standing on the other side stood Jasper, Emmett, and Rosalie their faces were the same as Edward's was. Then from the darkest appeared Edward, joining the others. Things were a lot more serious then I thought
"Stop calling our house" Emmett demanded.
"Your like a lost dog searching for his owner" Rosalie added.
"It's been done, Renesmee wants nothing to do with you anymore" Edward said.
"You are no longer allowed over here Dog. None of your kind is" Rosalie said with such pleasure.
"And were here to make sure of that" Edward added.
"Only Seth is allowed on our territory" Emmett said.
"He's the only one she wants to see" Jasper also added.
Seth came to my house one day and told that it was true Nessie didn't want to see me anymore. When I heard this i felt like my heart was being ripped out.
"How is she?" I asked.
"She's just as messed up as you are. She barely talks, can hardly sleep or eat. She's cleaning like crazy" Seth said. Whenever Nessie was upset or angry for a couple of days, she cleaned. The only simple way to describe it, would be O.C.D. She's cleans things that are already clean. She cleans the whole house literally. Even thought Nessie never let things get dirty to begin with.
"I can't believe I even let it happen"
"Hey man, don't beat yourself up like this. She'll come around. I mean she always does"
"Nah, I doubt she will this time. We were so close. So close that I was already thinking about how we were going to Edward we were together. Now she doesn't wanna talk to me. She doesn't wanna see me. I'm not even allowed to see her anymore and Bella won't return my phone calls. I really missed up this time"
"I know Nessie, we know Nessie. She is incapable of being angry and hating one someone. Especially when it comes down to you. She goes back to school the next Monday"
Eighteen days have gone by without me having any communication with Nessie and it was killing the hell out of me. I was forgetting how she smelled, I was forgetting how she sounded like. The only way I have lasted this long was because I would dream about her. I was always sleeping, I always wanted to sleep. I took pills just to sleep just so I could see him even if it was happy dream or not. I just needed, wanted to see her.
Monday came. I was there before school even started. I waited for her but I didn't see her so I drove back home. Two hours later I went back in my wolf form. I stayed the whole day waiting to see her. I was in the same spot that i always was to wait for her. I was beginning to think she didn't go to school but then I saw her walking out before school had ended. My heart nearly fell out of my chest when I saw. The happiness that filled my body was just unexplained about. I heart raced with excitement. I howled just low enough for her to hear but she ignored it so I did it again a little louder and stopped walking. She just stood there, she knew that I was here. I could tell by the way her shoulders were moving as she breathed in and out, jet shoulders followed the same movement but she just stood there.
*Come on Nessie turn around. Turn around... Come on baby turn around... Turn. Around*
She finally moved but to continued to walk. I howled again but this time I didn't do it so just a half vampire could hear, I did for that human earz could hear it as could just hear it that it wasnt my normal howl, it was more like a cry. She stopped and looked down to the ground.
*Come on Nessie turn around. Turn around... Come on baby turn around... Turn. Around. I'm here. Come on turn around*
But she didn't. She just stood there like before. She knew I was here. That I was waiting for her. That I wanted her to know that overall I missed her but she didn't care.
Then I saw a BMW pulled up. It was Rosalie's car. She walked up to the car and opened the door. Her head turned then followed by her body. She looked at me and our eyes meet for like half a second then she got in.
I rushed back to Charlie's and when I got there, I noticed that her window was open since she's stopped talking to me it's been closed. Nessie hates the cold but she always left her window open for me. I waited for her to be dropped off. It was Monday which meant Charlie didn't work full time today. It took about 2 hours for the Blonde to leave but when she did and I could hear the car anymore, I phased back into my human form. I saw Nessie in her room going through her backpack and taking out her notebooks. She sat on her desk and started writing. I took a running start and quickly made my way inside her room. My landing stardolled her and she quickly got up and looked at me.
"Your not suppose to be here" she said and moved away from me.
"You left your window" was I that came to me because I was just so happy that I was looking at her, that was hearing her voice again.
"So what? My window is always open. So yeah thanks for reminding me" she said and walked towards the window I came out of and closed it then locked it. Before she got the chance to even turn around or even put her arms down from closing the window, I put my arms around her and hugged her from behind.
I missed her touch and the smell of her sweet vanilla skin and the way her hair smelled like a meadow of fresh flowers.
"You have no idea on how much I missed you" i whispered in her ear. I could tell she missed me just as much by the way she let herself go in my arms and by the way she allowed us to stay this way. But then she turned in my arms and looked at me.
"Jacob, I can't keep doing this to myself" she whispered and shook her head. Then she broke away from me. She turned and look at me, tears getting ready to form in her eyes.
"We don't have to do this to each other. It's clear that we want different things" she said. I was done with keeping my feelings from her because it was clear to me that I was hurting her by making her think that I didn't want what she wants.
"How do you know, what I want"
"Because you've showed me time and time again and you told me-" I grabbed her by the waist and pulled her towards me and she stopped talking. I looked her and cupped her cheek. Then she was no longer in my arms or close to me but by the door. She opened it.
"Carlie!" Charlie yelled.
"Yeah?!" she yelled back
"Am going to the diner wanna come?!"
"Yeah give me a minute!" Nessie turned to me.
"You better not be here when I get back" she said and went out the door. Then I heard the open again and Nessie was in my arms hugging me.
"I've missed you too" she whispered then was gone and I heard the front close and the car start.
I left after I didn't know what Nessie was doing I mean we have moments like that and then she completely acts like nothing happened because it didn't but the moment was still there. I decided to go back to Charlie's. The window was closed so I had to use the front door. Sneaked pass Charlie while he slept on couch with the tv on like always. Nessie's door was open so just pushed it enough for me to slide in. The old door made a sound waking her. Her eyes out and quickly sat up.
"Jacob" she whispered in relief. She rubbed her eyes.
"Yeah... Nessie we need to talk about-"
"Jacob just shut up" she said sleepy and laid back into bed. She moved over
"don't say anything just come here" she whispered and patted the other side of the bed.
"Come lay here with me" she whispered and looked at me.
I obeyed. I laid next to her something that was rare. Nessie cuddled up next to me and hugged me. She landed her head on my chest and fell asleep. Together with her on my chest and we hugging as if someone was going to come take us away from each other and i loved every second of it. I forgot about everything and I just wanted us to stay like this, her and I alone, separated from the world.
I began to wake up. I didn't fell Nessie anymore. I looked at the clock and knew she probably went to school. I looked away and sat up and rubbed my eyes. Then I saw someone standing by the window.
"That's right, you should be scared. I warned you Jacob, I made myself clear that-"
"She's old enough to know what she wants. You don't speak for her anymore"
"I have more influence on her then you think-"
"I know and I also know that your part of the reason why she stayed away from me for so long"
"You didn't let me finish... I would rather have you in her life then not at all and not because you offer more protection for her but because I know that she can't be herself without having you around. I'm not happy and I don't ever think I will be happy with your relationship with her but if this is what she truly wants then I have no choice but to accept. She's my daughter and I would do anything i can to protect her"
"I know Edward"
"So if your holding back on telling her how you feel, I don't want it to because of me anymore"
"This really means a lot to me. Thank you Edward" i said. After so many years I finally had the green light from Edward. I knew that Edward was just being protective and being a normal dad to his little girl so I always respect his decision as the father of the girl I waned to be with to wait for his approval and he didn't give then to hell with him but l deep down because I know how much Nessie loves Edward I knew it will mean the world to know that "Daddy" approves our relationship.
"I want doing this for you. Dog" Edward said with kind of a sad voice because he knew he had just talkin the first on losing his little girl.
"I know but im still grateful Edward... Or should I start calling you Dad" i joked and he just walked out of the room
"To soon" i yelled and i heard the slam and i couldn't help but laugh.
I ran to Nessie's school. I was in my wolf so I stood in the spot that I always waited and until I saw and got her attention. By the time she got to me I was in my human form with my clothes on.
"Nessie! I gotta something to tell you" once she was near me, I didn't realize how happy and excited I was about telling her how I feel and that we had nothing to worry about because Edward was okay with it.
"Jacob, I don't have time. I have get to class" she said and tried to leave. I stopped her of course.
"Nessie" i said and i was going to go straight for the kiss but before I could Nessie turned her head.
"There the tardy bell. Jacob, I have to go"
"Wait wait wait first" i stopped her by hugging her. She laughed.
"I promise we'll talk as soon as I get out of school. Jacob I have to go. I'll come see you right after I'm done with school. Okay" she said and speeded away.
I waited for her in the same spot when she got out of school. She was walking alone before her friends caught up with her.
"Carlie!" A girl yelled.
"Hey. Why are so happy? Why is everyone so happy"
"What! You haven't heard. You and Seth are mostly to win homecoming King and Queen" a another girl and was being surrounded by girls acting like girls.
"What? But I didn't even run"
"People nominated you two Carlie"
"Come on let go celebrate"
"But... I haven't even won yet"
"Please it's you two we're talking about"
"He's the star football player and the captain of the cheerleading team"
"Yeah. You guys have it in the bag"
"Yeah, the whole school already thinks you two are dating on the low so come on"
"I can't i have to go. Do something" Nessie said. But the all her girl friends insisted.
"So... that can wait.
"Yeah come on you've gone for so long we missed you"
"Or do i need to force my queen to go. By throwing her over my shoulder" Seth appeared and all the girls just laughed and smiled after he said that. Nessie also laughed.
"You wouldn't dare" she joked.
"Try me" Seth said and picked her up.
"Oh okay, oh okay. I believe you"
"Ugh just come on you two"
"Yeah you know packed the Grill gets right after school" A girl said and they left.
I went home. Seeing Nessie with her friends today and them saying that whole school thinks that they're dating bugged me because I don't know what happens at school with them if the kids think that they're dating. I know that they care for each other they're best friends and people could mistake them for dating because they so close. Right? Or maybe everyone else sees something that I can't because I'm so blinded to come to think that Nessie could chose Seth over and Seth could accept it. I waited for Nessie it was night time by the time she came. All my happiness, everything just went away thinking about this.
"Sorry I'm late but won't believe what I just found out" Nessie entered and closed the door and sat right next to me on the couch.
"I was nominated for homecoming queen" she said excited.
"Me out of all people, I mean haven't won yet but it still feels great to be nominated and all. So hey, what did wanna tell me"
"Nothing, it doesn't matter anymore"
"What happened to you nearly kidnapping me because you wanted to tell me something"
"Nothing. Its doesnt matter just tell me how your day at school"
