I haven't confessed my feelings for Nessie, why? I don't know because every cell in me is yelling at me to but I just can't. Nessie wasn't the same with me. She seemed distant and i just don't wanna believe that she could start seeing someone the way she saw me and that should motivate me to tell her but it doesn't it just brings me down. How can I know that Nessie truly wants to be with me if she's never been with no else. Deep down that's what worried me the most. I want to be with Nessie but she's so beautiful, smart, and sweet but I'm not Nessie's only choice, she has other opinions other then just me.
Nessie and I were having lunch at the diner. I saw Nessie smile and I turned to see who it was.
"Hey Leo" she greeted.
"I'm sorry, I don't mean to interrupt anything but Seth said that I would find you here" some random guy named Leo said. Nessie looked at me and I just drank my coffee. Nessie was like mental and every guy was like detector. Always finding her, always wanting her and frankly always interrupting my time with her but I wasn't as mad this time once I realize that this guy was gay. He kept looking at me.
"No, its fine. What's up"
"Seth told me that you can sing" Leo said.
"A little bit"
"Seth already agree to it and now we just need a singer"
"Agreed to what?"
"Okay. If I don't find a performing act then the homecoming dance is going to be cancelled"
"What? why?"
"Because the principle thinks that hiring a DJ is too much money that we can't afford to spend right now and the normal band that we hire has something to do that night so we have no music"
"I don't think Seth gave you the full information. I've never performed in front of anyone before"
"Carlie come on, you'll sing a couple of songs. and I know for a fact the principle is going to leave right after they announce king and queen. the longest you'll be singing would be like an hour then I'll plug my phone into the speakers and we'll just do it like that"
"I don't know. We can get in trouble for doing something like that"
"And if we do I'll take for responsibility for it" Leo insisted. Nessie eventually gave in.
"Say that one more time" Nessie said. Leo was just so excited about this that I even smiled.
"If we get caught I, Leo will take full responsibility"
"Okay, I'll do it"
"Once you see how homecoming is set up, you'll know why I insisted on it to happen" Leo said. I think Nessie just made him that happiest guy in the world. And then left.
"He's like a male version of Alice" Nessie joked.
"Yeah i noticed"
"Oh! And Carlie... Bring your friend two" Leo said coming back and looking at me.
"Yes of course. You got it" Nessie said and they smiled and Leo left.
"I think he likes you" Nessie laughed.
"Oh, be quiet"
Nessie was helping Leo build the stage for the homecoming dance. Nessie had brought me the ticket to the dance but she never said anything about me being her date. Or was her handing me the ticket her way of telling me that I was. But I later found out that not only will Seth and i be there but Quil, Embry, Collin and Brady would be there as well but all with their dates so maybe that's why Nessie didn't ask me. Maybe she thought of it as a group thing or maybe because I knew Seth didn't have a date, she didn't want to be in a position to choose between me and Seth. Alice had told us to come and do fittings but Nessie and Seth were the only no shows of course.
I went to the school and I found them. The dance was going to be outside as the theme of the dance was "A Night Under the Stars". The dance floor was made and tables were being set up. Seth was on stage with a guitar and some more guys. Nessie was stand a couple feet away and was looking at them.
"Alright Lilly, all the lights are suppose to off. Okay perfect" Nessie said talking into a headset. Seth and the guys started to play.
"Q the spotlight" Nessie said. She turned around. She pressed a button on the headset.
"Jacob. So what do think?" She asked
me.
"It looks good. Everything coming along great" I said
"Thank you" Leo said as he was passing through. Nessie smiled and pressed the button the headset.
"Lilly the lighting is great. But your timing is not" Nessie continued.
The day came, the night of the dance everyone meet up at Charlie's. Seth and Nessie were so busy rehearsing that it's made us late. Nessie wasn't a fan of dresses so complained to Alice that this wasn't the dress she wanted but Alice always got her way when it came to fashion.
"Nessie! I know your a girl but hurry up!" Brady yelled.
"Yeah! Your gonna be late" Charlie yelled also. You can hear Nessie fussing with Alice. Then there was a bang and Alice came out.
"Damn Alice, did you kill her up there?" Charlie joked.
"Well you know, she can stubborn at times" Alice said.
"I am not stubborn" Nessie yelled.
"It always amazes me how good her hearing is, well call me when she's done" Charlie said and stepped into the kitchen.
"Forget this" Brady said and ran upstairs. The slammed open
"Brady! What the hell are you doing?"
"Well this is a bit of a downer cause I hoping to find you undressed" Brady said that only the pack and Alice could hear. I growled a little at his comment.
"But on the up side your dressed your beautiful okay so let's go" Brady quickly said. All you heard after that was little bits of arguing but then Brady literally pushed her out. They pushed each other as stepped down like five stairs to fuss again.
"Everyone Renesmee" Brady said a little out of breath.
Everytime I thought Nessie couldn't get any more beautiful once again she approved me wrong. She was gorgeous in that white backless mini dress, complete with a long train.
"I thought you might like a little preview of what she'll look like in that white dress" Alice whispered so low that I barely heard and I couldn't help but smile cause i knew what she meant. Alice saw it as a preview, I saw it as a tease. She was just so beautiful.
Once Charlie and Alice finally stopped taking pictures. We arrived at dance just in time as they were serving food. There were 3 girls on stage playing the violin. We got ourself a table at the end but we had a full view of the dance floor and the stage.
There were kids all over the place, this dance was really under supervised.
At our table was Quil with Claire. Embry with Amanda, Collin with Kate , Brady with Melissa and in between me and Seth, Nessie.
Nessie and Seth left 2 hours after finishing eating
. They were gone for like another hour.
"Hello students, everyone is looking great tonight. Before anything we should thank Leo because without him this night couldn't be possible so let's give it up for Leo everyone. So for the performing act and well known students are Liam, Joe, Kevin and your nominated Homecoming King and Queen Seth Clearwater and Carlie Cullen" a lady said and quickly stepped off the stage and everyone clapped as they appeared.
"Thank you but all I have to say is Are You Ready?" Nessie said and they applaud

You could hear him laughing in the background. Once they stopped, Nessie continued.

Another spotlight had on it was hitting Seth as he was coming off the stage.
"Never understand you when you say" Seth sang. All the girls cheered. Nessie slowly turned to look at Seth. They walked towards each other.

Once Nessie and Seth were done with walked towards our table and the student cheered and applauded while they smiled. Random people keep coming up to the table and congratulating Seth and Nessie and an incredible performance. After a while they stopped coming and everyone talked among thereselves for a long while. Seth got up to get some more food and the girls went to go talk to some of their friends so it was just the guys and Nessie. I looked at Nessie as i noticed she seemed uncomfortable. She put her arms on the table and then quickly drank a full water bottle in less than a second. She laid her arms on the table then put her fingers on the side of her head and closed her eyes. Nessie's leg started to shake. She quickly stopped and her head shoot to the left and we started breathing heavily. That made the pack noticed. We all were looking at her.
"Oh my god" she groaned
"What?" I questioned. I turned to see if anyone was looking.
"I gotta get out of here" Nessie groaned again. Then a spot light hit and Claire came over.
"Oh my god Nessie you just won. Go up there" Claire said excited. I was so focused on Nessie I didn't even know they announced King and Queen. Nessie was trying her hardest to stay calm. I still didn't know why she was acting this way. Seth came to the table and she quickly grab him and hugged him.
"Seth, you gotta get me out of here NOW"
"Nessie calm down okay" Seth took one look at Nessie. His eyes panicking.
"Just hold your breath" Seth said calming.
"Why do you wanna leave?" Claire asked. Nessie turned quickly towards the woods. We heard a loud sceam.
"That's why" she groaned and the heavy breathing began again. A girl appeared with blood all over her dress and some on her.
"They're dead! something killed them the woods" she cried. Everyone began to panick people started running and sceaming. They announced that the homecoming dance was canceled but everyone had to stay and enter the gym.
"I cant stay here any longer. I have to go" Nessie groaned.
"Calm down" Seth said.
"I can't. Seth there are five bleeding bodied here" she whispered angrily then she vanished.
It was empty now the pack, Claire and i managed to sneak pass to the parking lot.
"Jacob we have go check out the scene-" i cut off Embry.
"No we can't. The police should be on there way. We can't risk phasing now. We'll have to wait until Charlie give us the clear to look for it" i said.
"What about Nessie?" Claire asked worried and scared.
"I doubt she'll be at Charlie's. she nearly wanted to tear someone's head off-" i cut off Brady.
"Brady!" i yelled.
"It's true. We all saw it!" He yelled back.
"Jacob, we have to go after her" Seth said.
"No. Like I said before we'll wait for Charlie to give us the clear. In the meantime let's go to the Cullen's" i said.
When we got to the Cullen's. I prayed that she was here. I stormed in the house and Esmee came.
"Jacob?"
"Nessie's not here?"
"No. I thought she was at the dance with all of you"
"She was-"
"Ugh, what's that doing here" Rosalie said and give me her disgusted face.
"Nessie's missing" Claire came in. Rosalie stop angry steps towards Claire.
"What hell do you mean. Missing?" She said angry as hell. I got in front of Claire because I knew the Blonde was getting ready to explore.
"Missing. As in we don't know where she is" i said. In respects to Esmee which I've grown to like because she reminded me so much of my mom. I didn't try to fight the blonde this time.
"What do you mean you don't know where she is. She was with you!" The blonde yelled. Esmee stood between us.
"Rosalie. Jacob tell us w
hat happened?
"We think there was some vampire near the dance. Nessie smelled blood and then she disappeared" i told Esmee. Then before I knew it Rosalie grabbed me by the throat, picked me up and threw me across the room. Rosalie stood in front of me.
"How the hell did you let that happened DOG! you were suppose to be taking care of her. There's a vampire here and you LOST RENESMEE!" Rosalie yelled so loud that you can almost feel the house shake I mean she was pissed and her eyes pitch black.
"Rosalie stop" Esmee said and helped me up. Rosalie made her way around Esmee
"No, why should I" she yelled and did the same thing again. This time breaking a table. The pack quickly came up to help but I signaled them to stop before they could.
"This dog. These dogs are allowed on our territory to make sure that something like this doesn't happen. Well it happened! These dogs get running around into our territory! And we're still stuck here limited to our lands! And not being allowed on their's" she yelled. Esmee stood in between us again and placed her hands on the blonde's shoulders.
"Rosalie, why don't you go look for Renesmee. You know her better than anyone, I'm sure you'll find her" Esmee said calming and Rosalie took one look at me and disappeared.
"I'm sorry Jacob" Esmee said helping me up again.
"It's fine Esmee don't worry about it" i said and left the house. My pack following me.
"So what are we gonna do?" Embry asked. I began to think and then I started looking. Someone was missing.
"Where's Seth?" I asked.
"Where do you think?" Collin said. I knew Seth had disobeyed me and phased and went searching for Nessie.
"Jacob, we have to do something" Collin said
"Nessie!" Claire yelled. I went running towards her. Nessie was just walking, walking very slowly and had a blank look on her face. Claire was going to hugged but didn't because Nessie and her dress were covered in blood.
"Claire. I'm fine. It's not my blood... it's blood from a deer... that I just killed" Nessie said lifeless. Alice appeared and just grasped.
"I'm sorry about the dress Alice" she said again so lifeless and walked away. Nessie took one looks at us and speeded inside.
I went in the house looking for Nessie. I found her on the balcony just looking out into the woods, still in her dress. Went and stood next to her. I looked at her. Her hair was all messed up with blood on her face and arms.
"How are you?" I asked. She smiled and looked down.
"Physically I should be jumping off the roof of this house with this energy that I feel inside"
"And mentally?" I asked. She turned and looked at me and two tears ran down her face.
"You don't even wanna know. You don't have any idea of how much I wanted to-" i cut her off because I couldn't hear it. I didn't want to hear it. I didn't want to hear that Nessie, my Nessie wanted to feed on a human.
"But you didn't and that's all that matter" Claire said joining us.
"Yeah Nessie, you can think about feeding on someone as much as you want but it's a completely different if you actually do it" i said.
"With you guys being my best friends and all I really appreciate you guys tryna make me feel better after what you guys saw but you cant. But Nothing you guys say will make this any better. Because you guys will never understand. You guys think that what I did was good? Wait till my family finds out. They won't see it the way you do. Because I had no myself control. I ran and i ran like hell and killed the first animal I saw" she said. It was silent for a moment. She started to cry
"Didn't you hear? I already ready fed" she said and turned around. I saw Seth in his wolf form and with a mountain lion in his mouth.
"I had a deer Seth" she said and started crying. Seth did a small growl.
"Take it away Seth! I don't want it!" She cried and started walking. Seth barked and she turned around. Seth dropped the mountain lion on the ground and barked again. The wind and Nessie closed her eyes. She inhaled then her eyes opened. Then she jumped off the balcony and was by Seth. Nessie got on her knees. Claire and i walked to get a better look. The mountain lion was breathing heavily. Nessie looked at it and petted his face. The look on her face you can tell she didn't want to go it but the mountain lion was in pain.
"I'm sorry" she whispered. She lifted it head and bit its neck slowly. Then bit into it hard that blood squirted out. Claire looked away then went inside the house I stayed and with watched.
"Thank you. What would I do without you?" She told Seth and hugged and kissed his check and petted him. I looked away then look back. Seth bowed and then took the mountain. Nessie began to walk towards the house. She looked up at me and I looked back then speeded into the house.
I stayed in the Cullen's house. Esmee was the only one in the house. I didn't ask her where everyone was because I really didn't care. I was in my kitchen because Esmee was feeding me like she always did when I was around. With Nessie picking very picky most of the food in their refrigerator really was for me. Nessie speed in and grab some stuff then speeded away. Esmee and i looked each other. Esmee looked into the cabinet Nessie opened.
"Some of the cleaning supplies are gone" she said to me so I went up to Nessie's room. She was in her bathroom with the sink water running and her dress in her hand.
"Nessie, what are you doing?"
"I'm trying to get this dress clean"
"Nessie it's blood. It's not coming out. I'm sure Alice doesn't even care about the dress"
"If you think that then you don't know Alice" she said. She was being her obsessive cleaning self. I took the scrubber away from her. That was a big mistake.
"Jacob. Give it back" she walked towards me while I stepped back.
"No"
"Jacob. I'm not gonna ask you again" she said every angry with thus evil look in her eyes. She reached for the scrubber but I pulled it away
"No"
"Give it back!" She yelled and reached for it again.
"No" i said. She looked at me then she jumped on me like an animal and we fell on her bed. She was fighting to get the scrubber but then I finally use my strength on her and got on top of her and pinned her arms to the bed. She tried to break free but I was strong then she was.
"Nessie. Calm down" i said and just shook her head then started crying.
"I can't. I can't" she cried. I
got off her and she got up from the bed.
"That blood is all that I can think about. And know what make it worst I knew the kids that died tonight. But I didn't care all I wanted was to drain every drop of blood they had. They were my friends Jacob and they're dead now! And I reacted to their death by going off and killing an animal! I kill it. I killed an animal Jacob. I killed something" she cried and i hugged her. Nessie has never killed anything before and I knew that this was why she was acting this way. I hugged her even more.
By the time Charlie let me know that it was okay to go searching for the vampire. It was to late, it was gone.
The attack appeared on the News as an animal kill. Sam said that from what he saw that this time, they weren't lying. The bodies were mauled no sign of a vampire bite and the five victims death were internal blooding in the head and they just blood out to death. Which was why Nessie smelled it so strongly.
The school put banners and flowers for the victims.
I was with Nessie at the group funeral but Nessie stopped crying for their deaths the day they were killed. She had this sad look on her face 24/7.
She was never the same after she attended her first funeral just 2 days after the student deaths.
