As soon as Nessie was back to her old self again and the second the Cullen left her alone. She went to go check on Samuel. Even when she was... I can't even say it. She was always worried about someone else. I told Nessie to not go see him but she didn't listen so I went with her. I asked her the whole way there if she was sure about it. I even added the fact her dad is going to be pissed when he finds out. But Nessie didn't care.

"Hey, can Sammy come out and play?" Nessie playfully asked Emily. Like she did back when she was a kid.

"He's out back with Seth" she answered.

"So how's he doing?" Nessie asked worried.

"He's stressing out about everything. He's trying to control his tempter" Emily answered.

"He's having trouble with it?" Nessie asked.

"Big trouble. He nearly phased because there was no more orange juice left for him" Emily answered.

"That bad?" Nessie questioned.

"Yeah. Sam can't even be around him. He's pretty mad at him still" she said.

"Right, I'm gonna go see him" Nessie said.

It amazed me how guilty Nessie felt. I mean it wasn't her fault. It was Samuel's fault. Nessie walked towards the back door. I followed Nessie. I stayed on the small back porch. As I walked Nessie continued to walk and walk towards Seth.

"How is he?" Nessie asked as she put her arm around Seth's shoulder. Then my eyes moved toward Samuel. I guess he had cut down an entire tree and with an axe. It was true what everyone was saying about him, he had so much rage and as he should. He hurt Nessie. Samuel had his headphones on as he was angrily chopping the tree's branches and just chopping it into pieces.

"Out of control. He's has so much anger... I've been tryna get his mind off things but everything just seems to make him worse" Seth said.

Nessie sighed.

"Don't worry. I've got it from here" she said and started walking towards Samuel.

"Nessie-" Nessie cut Seth off.

"I'll handle it" Nessie said turning around to look at him. Seth put his hands up knowing that it was out of his hands now so he let her go talk to him. Seth came up the porch steps and joined me. We both leaned on the wooden rail and watched Nessie.

Nessie stood on the other side of him but he was to focused on the tree, he hadn't noticed she was there.

Nessie watched as Samuel struck the tree with all his strength and he just struck it harder and harder everytime that last one was so loud it made her jump.

Samuel finally noticed she was there and he got scared like he became weak in the legs. He quickly took off his headphones. Nessie chuckled and smiled at him.

"Now what did that poor tree ever do to you?" She joked.

"How long have you been standing there?" Samuel asked panting.

"Not long" Nessie said and she took a step towards him.

"What? I don't get a hug?" She questioned. Samuel looked at the ground and then smiled big. He tossed the axe and gloves then hugged her. I looked away.

"I really missed you" he told her and I looked back at them. And they were still hugging tightly.

"Cool it Jake" Seth whispered low as he noticed that I was getting angry.

"Yeah, I missed you too" Nessie said.

"Ness" Samuel let out and cleared his throat.

"Your kinda of crushing me" he told her. She quickly let go.

"Sorry" she apologized.

"Don't be" Samuel said and pulled her in for another hug.

"Jacob" Seth whispered again to me.

Nessie let him go. She put her hair behind her ear and crossed her arms.

"So.. how are doing you?" Nessie asked.

Samuel let out a heavy sigh. He sat on the tree he cut down.

"Well where do I began. My body hurts, I get this horrible migraine and you can forget about taking pills for it. Cause they dont work. My body is just hot... like literally" Nessie chuckled a bit as he said the last part. Showing his cookiness.

After we phase the changes we go through after are hard and even harder to adjust to. With our whole body aching and our change in body temperature. Samuel continued.

"Oh and have I mention the joy of my horrible mood swings. Almost torn my mom's head off today because there wasn't any juice left" Samuel said. Samuel looked at Nessie. Who just had this big frown and sad look. Samuel stood up.

"But one the plus side. I'm strong enough to take you on now" he said confident. Nessie giggled.

"Yeah, I still doubt that" she said.

"I'm stronger now"

"Yeah, well I was born stronger so"

"Yeah and the fact that I almost killed you. Your probably not that stronge"

"Im glad we can joke about this now"

"I really am sorry"

"Yeah, you said that already. I just hope your as understanding as i was when.. you know I feed on you" Samuel looked stunned.

"I'm kidding Sammy"

"Are you really?"

"Yeah... What? You scared?"

"Please don't make me laugh Ha Ha Ha.. I can take you any day, now that I know your half a bloodsucker. I don't have to go easy on you" Samuel joked. Seth and I grinned because Nessie hated being called a bloodsucker. She even hated just hearing the word.

"What did you call me?"

"Oh. Did I offend you? But I said bloodsucker. Very common word used around here now especially with Leah"

"Yeah. don't call me that"

"It's what you do"

"Your only stronger when your a wolf. You know that, right?" Nessie pointed out. There was no doubt Samuel was cocky and now that he was a wolf. It's gotten worse.

"Yeah I know but how strong can you be?"

Nessie give him the look. A look we knew that she was about to hurt you. Samuel didn't know the look but me and Seth did so we were anxious to see what she would do. It was Nessie's quick and strong hit that well basically scared of because she was so smart she knew exactly where to hit to make you feel pain. Nessie laughed.

"I can show you better than I can tell you" Nessie said in her devious voice. Samuel give her a confused looked but that same second. She grabbed him by the neck quickly flipped then slammed him to tree, he had cut down. She twisted his arm behind his back.

"Your stronge but not as strong when your human" Nessie said and pushed his arm farther behind. Samuel let out a small painful yell.

"Alright I'll stop messing with you" he said calling out for mercy. Me and Seth chuckled a bit. Nessie let him go. Samuel rotated his shoulder.

"Alright so your stronger than I thought"

"You don't say"

"But Seth tell me we get stronger with time so" Samuel said and finally looked my way. He give me angry look then looked back at Nessie.

"Well back to your problem I think I can help with that"

"How?"

"Come on"

"Where are we going?"

"For a run"

"So running is gonna make everything better?"

"You just need to get away from everything for a while. Plus I'll tire you out so you won't have that much energy"

"Does it really work?"

"How else do you think I manage to resist the temptation of feeding on humans"

"Alright this meant take some time to get use to but whatever" Samuel said and off shirt and started to unbutton his shorts.

"Sammy!" Nessie yelled at him and quickly looked away.

"What?" Samuel said clueless.

"You hang around us all the time. Nothing you haven't seen before anyway"

"Just shut up and phase"

"Whatever you say boss" Samuel said. Nessie turned to look back at Samuel. As he phased. Once Samuel was in his form wolf, Nessie got closer to him and rubbed his face. Samuel closed his eyes tilted his head towards her direction. Basically doing what I do everytime Nessie pets me. Letting me know he enjoyed her touch just as much as I do. Nessie smiled.

"You know I've around you guys for so long. Never really seen how you guys phase. They're already wolves when I see them " she said and Samuel opened his eyes when Nessie stopped petting him and walked over to us. She turned back to quickly look back him then back at us.

"Pretty amazing, what you guys do" she told us.

"Can't keep telling you this Nessie. We're awesome" Seth said. Nessie chuckled a bit. She speeded inside the house then came back within seconds.

"Well I'm gonna go play with my shiny new toy. So we'll be back soon" she said and took off her jacket.

"Hey Sammy!" She yelled. Samuel turned around to look at her.

"Come find me" she said and speed towards the woods. Samuel looked around as if he was trying to find her.

"So are you gonna chase after me or what" she said appearing near him. Nessie show him a roll of tape and Samuel pick up his pants and his shirt with his mouth. Samuel started to walk towards her and she smiled.

"Now who's a good boy" she said as if she was talking to a dog. That made Samuel growl a bit and Nessie giggled. Nessie speeded away and that made Samuel chase after her. I heard her laugh fading as they ran faster away from us.

Seth let out a chuckle and i angrierly looked him. He quickly stopped and cleared his throat and became serious and went inside.

I waited for Nessie to come back but she never did and it was getting dark. She wasn't even suppose to come now she is out late so I went looking for her in my wolf form. I didn't have a connection with Samuel so he must be in his human form.

I found them. She was alone for a moment but then Samuel appears walking towards her while he put his shirt on.

"So do you feel better?" She asked. Samuel exhaled.

"Actually yeah I do" he answered.

They walked and talked for about 15 minutes while i managed to keep myself hidden from them as I followed and listened in on their conversation.

"Hey Ness, I hope things don't get... you know... Weird between us" Samuel said. Nessie got in front of him.

"I told you I forgive you already. It wasn't your fault" she said.

"No, I was talking about the... Kiss. Thing" Samuel said. Nessie looked at him then quickly looked away and began to walk again. Samuel followed.

"Should of never brought it up" he said pulling his hands in his pockets and looking at the ground.

"Sammy" was all Nessie could say.

"Don't worry I get it. I always sensed that you were different. My dad said it's a good thing. A relationship like our wouldn't work out anyway" Samuel said looking at the ground the whole time. Nessie stopped and turned to look at him with a confused look on her face.

"You think I don't wanna be with you cause your a wolf" she whispered to him.

"What else would it be? I mean we known each other since we were kids. We get along just fine. We know about each other and are fine with it" Samuel said getting closer to her. He was like a foot away from her. Samuel looked her, i guess with his 'flirty' eyes.

"And we're clearly attracted to each other" he kind of whispered to her. This quickly made Nessie uncomfortable with his comment and his closeness.

"I used to like Jacob" she let out. Something that caught Samuel and me off guard. Nessie walked a couple of steps and leaned on a tree. As Samuel just stood there stunned. I smiled.

It took Samuel a couple seconds to walked toward and a minute to say something.

"Used to? As in you don't anymore" Samuel question. Nessie didn't look at him.

"I-I don't know. Things are complicated between us"

*Complicated? How were things complicated between us* i questioned to myself.

"I thought you saw him as a big brother and all" Samuel said.

"I do" Nessie said. "I mean I did" she quickly corrected herself. She sighed. "Like I said complicated"

"Does he know?" Samuel asked curiously.

"Everyone pretty much knows"

"And nothing happened?"

"Not a single thing" Nessie said. Sounding a bit disappointed.

"So why don't you just move on?"

"I tried but the only way I could that, is to not seeing him.. I've had him in my whole life, it feels weird not having him in it. I feel like a part of me is missing. You know what I mean?" Nessie asked him and Samuel just nodded.

"So he told you he didn't feel the same way"

"Yeah and he just said he needed time. Whatever the hell that means" she said getting a bit angry.

"What would you do?" Nessie asked Samuel.

"What I just did. Tell you how I feel then kiss you" Samuel said then signaled with his head that they should start walking as it was getting late. Nessie got off the tree. Then Samuel continued.

"Probably not a good idea though. Gave me one of your right hooks to the face"

"I hit you?"

"Not the first time"

"Wait? we kissed more then once?"

"Three times. First one you stood there like a freaking statue.. Second time you pushed me away and the third time I could swear you kissed me back but that was just you probably saying to get the hell off. For some reason I didn't hear that until it was to late" Samuel said. I smiled again as Nessie punched Samuel.

"I don't remember. But I'm sorry by the way"

"I focusively kiss you 3 times and you're apologizing"

"Yeah guess I am. That's probably why you phased. Cause i made you angry"

"It was a vampire Ness. It wasn't your fault. Although Leah was saying you should of known better then to stand to close us when we get like that"

"Yeah. Well I told you, I never really seen them phase before. I didn't know what was happening to you-"

"Yeah I get it. You didn't have a thing to do with me phasing Nessie"

"Why don't I believe you?" Nessie said "What happened that night exactly?" She asked.

"I told you. We were kissing well I was doing the kissing. You pushed me off and told me you didn't feel the same way.. i smelled a vampire then coo-coo-cachoo"

"What did you mean when you asked me who marked you?"

"What? I didn't-"

"Yes, you did. You said it right before you phased. I remember that clearly. What did you mean by that?"

"Nessie, I remembered telling you to go get my mom. Where did you get that i said who marked you? Probably means you hit your head harder than you think"

"Right" she said.

They walked and talked some more. But the topic of me came up again.

"So what are you gonna do about Jacob?" Samuel asked.

"I don't know. I keep thinking something gonna happen between us but it doesn't" Nessie answered sounding disappointed.

"So what exactly do you want to happen?" He asked curiously. Nessie took a minute to answer.

"Whatever it's probably just another stage. I'll get over it"

"And you can do that by seeing him everyday. Why don't you just ask him-" Nessie quickly cut him off.

"I told him. How i felt? He knows that I like him" Nessie said like she was mad.

"Tell him again" Samuel said.

I took a minute to even process what he said. Did Samuel actually tell Nessie to confess to me about us again? Then I thought about it. Samuel was a wolf now. He knows that I imprinted on her.

"We're guys, we pay more attention the more times were told something" he said.

"Even though that's completely true. No. If wants to act like everything is okay then it is. It's not the first time I've liked someone that didn't want me back" Nessie said and put on a face letting me know that the last part. She said without thinking and didn't want Samuel to know.

"Really, who?" Samuel asked.

"Seth" Nessie very low that I didn't say but the way her lips moved I know she said Seth.

"Seth? As in our Seth?" Samuel asked stunned.

"Yeah" Nessie said a bit embarrassed.

"Wow! your just making your way around the group" Samuel joked.

"Sammy" she chuckled and pushed him to a tree.

"What happened with Seth?" Samuel asked.

"Well I never told him until recently"

"Recently like this year or-"

"No this year but at the time. You know I realized that I was too young. It was more like a crush above everything"

"I always thought it was just me but now I see it"

"See what?"

"You and Seth"

"Get out of here there's no me and Seth"

"Okay whatever you say boss"

"Really there's not?"

"Okay"

"There's nothing. He's my best friend that's all"

"Okay"

"So there like no. None of that"

"Oh. okay" Samuel said. I found it weird that Samuel was saying that he understood and Nessie continued to nervously deny if there was something between them. She laughed.

"Your silly" she told him

"So that's it" Samuel said.

"Didn't have a crush on Embry, Collin, or Brady. Although I think you wouldn't be single if it was Brady. Think he likes you a bit to much" Samuel said. Brady always did like Nessie a little a bit to much. A side from his flirtatious comments it didn't make me angry.

"He likes every girl" Nessie said.

"True. But we all know he holds a special place for you"

"Can we like stop talking about this type of stuff. It just reminds me that I'm 16, I'm hybrid, that completely single"

"You don't have to be single" Samuel added. Nessie looked at him awkwardly.

"I'm not talking about me. You made it clear you just wanna be friends. Such a bore" Nessie chuckled.

"Nessie, your the most amazing girl I have ever known. Your single by choice"

"Not much of a choice when everyone your surrounded by are delicious smelling humans"

"That's your reason because besides us. everyone else is human"

"Well it's clearly not working with you guys. Can't really blame you. I mean I've seen the other girls-" Samuel cut Nessie off.

"The fact that you don't know your beautiful just makes you that much more beautiful" Samuel made Nessie blush.

"Nessie, you'll be better then any girl if you would dress like a slut too" Samuel said but I wouldn't tell if he was serious or not. She laughed a bit.

"Thanks, i guess"

"That's probably why Jacob doesn't see you that way" Samuel said.

"What? because I'm not a slut?" Nessie was quick to question. Samuel chuckled.

"No I mean. Would it kill you to wear like a dress or a even a skirt. Every once in a while"

"Did you just call me like a tomboy?"

"I'm glad you caught that. I was trying to sugar code it for you"

"Dresses and skirts are like for when the sun is out"

"Tell that to the girls that wear them. Starting with Claire"

"I'm not gonna change the way that I look just for Jacob

"You can do it for Seth too" Samuel joked and Nessie jaw just dropped as she punched in the arm.

"So is this how it's gonna be between us now. You making fun of the way that dress and the fact that i liked both Jacob and Seth" Nessie said. Samuel rubbed his arm.

"No, now Seth is a crush remember. I'm just trying to help a friend. Plus you need a guy's perspective" Samuel said and made air circles around the front of her.

"Not happening" he added.

"This look just so happened to have worked on you so.."

"Never been a fan of the looks. I like looking at a picture and everyone knowing that I'm the cute one in the relationship"

"Your so cocky"

"With myself only. I dated a girl that was 200 pounds at the age of 13"

"What happened?"

"She went to a fat camp. Now that I think of it we never broke up:

"Wow cocky and a cheater"

"In my defense. She had a very pretty face with these beautiful eyes of emerald green. She probably had her fairly tale ending by now"

"What?" Samuel asked and Nessie went into silent and had this sad look on her face.

"Nothing" she lied.

"What?" Samuel asked again but this time he stopped her and looked at her.

"It's just you know everyone is finding who they want to be with. As I said before. Single. Never Been Kissed-I'm a vampire hybrid with a vampire family and wolves-" Nessie talked fast.

"Woah don't speed passed that like you didn't say it. You never really been kissed before"

"No" she said low and embarrassed. Samuel tried to not laugh.

"Wow, that's pretty pathetic" Samuel said and ended up laughing away. Nessie pushed him and made him bump into a tree.

"Well you told me how you felt about me, I don't have to be nice about it. I'm not trying to impress you anymore" he said and chuckled.

"That really hurt" Nessie said.

"Truth hurts" Samuel said back.

"Especially in the way you put it" Nessie giggled and playfully pushed him.

"Well I'm glad you respect yourself in that way" Samuel joked.

"Your an ass" Nessie laughed.

"Well if you count our triple threat kiss as a kiss. Glad I was the one to you know take virginity of your lips" Samuel said trying to be funny yet sounding awkward about it.

"I might as well. Closest thing I'll get from a kiss anyway even if i can't remember it" Nessie said and looked at Samuel's house as they walked closer to it.

"You should tell him how you feel again pretty sure it'll be better this time with him" Samuel said and Nessie looked at him.

"Tell who again?" She asked. As she stopped walking and Samuel continued to walk towards his house.

"That question right there just proves you don't see Seth the way you think you do" Samuel said and Nessie continued to look at him puzzled.

"Deenial is not just a river in Utah" he sang.

"It's Egypt" Nessie quickly corrected.

"Well you would know smart ass. Another thing don't do that, it not attractive but like I said. Seth... think about it. Sweet dreams Ness" Samuel said and walked up the porch steps.

"Goodnight Sammy" Nessie said. Still with this confused look on her face. As Samuel smiled at her and then went inside his house.

Nessie stood for about a minute. And mumbled a couple of things to herself.

"Okay. No. No, I don't" I was all I could make out of it. Then Nessie said shoot back and she look deep into the trees. At first I thought she had just heard me but she was looking in the opposite direction from where I was. I quick began to look around and sniff the air. Nothing.

Nessie was about step forward but then hesitated

"No, don't be the stupid girl that goes towards the creepy sound. Run away. Just run away" Nessie said to herself all scared and freaked. She turned around the other way and disappeared.

I began to think of what Nessie could of heard because I didn't hear anything but according to my pack. I tend to not hear, realize or do stuff when Nessie is around because my complete and devoted attention. But when she acted was just odd and it worried me. So I don't know how many times I patrolled around Sam's house listening and smelling anything out of the ordinary and again. Nothing.
