"Did you know Raon before you started helping Sakura?" Ino asked as we walked towards the training grounds, Shikamaru on her other side. It had been four days since I had last seen Raon and since their visit.
"No," I replied, "how did the three of you become acquainted with her?"
"I take care of her as well. I dragged Shikamaru and Choji along after training one day to meet her. She's not from the village so she doesn't have many friends here." Ino explained. "Even if all she and Shikamaru talk about half the time are strategies."
Shikamaru let out a chuckle. "You can thank her for all those times we escaped a genjutsu."
"Genjutsu?" I asked, raising a brow.
Shikamaru nodded. "She's a genjutsu expert. The only way out of her techniques is to kill yourself." That peaked my interest. Just who was this ill girl? She could barely walk on her own. "If you want to know more about her, I'm sure Hinata would be able to tell you."
That caught me off-guard, "Lady Hinata?"
Ino nodded, "once a month when we're all free we have a girl's night with Raon."
"Took how much pleading to get Tsunade to allow it?" Shikamaru smirked.
Ino's eye twitched, "how would you like being cooped up in a hospital without visitors? Huh!" Ino sighed, blowing her bangs out of her face, "it is hard though. Watching as her health slowly deteriorates."
"Yeah," Shikamaru stopped walking and closed his eyes. We both stopped as well. "She can't walk long distances anymore without help." Ino's brows furrowed as she stared at the ground. She had worked closely with her for the past while, she knew first hand her decline. "Our teams are waiting for us." The subject was changed and we soon parted to our normal training fields. Tenten was sprawled out on the ground of training field four, picking out images in the sky.
"Not finished again?" I asked, standing in front of her feet.
"They've got a few more laps to go." She answered as she threw up legs up towards her head, then used the momentum to sit herself upright on the swing back. "Anything you want to work on while we wait?"
Ino had mentioned that they had a 'girl's night' every month, maybe? "Actually, do you know a girl named Raon?"
Tenten looked up at me confused, "how'd you meet her? You two aren't exactly the type to start speaking." She puffed her cheeks out. It was something that she only did when she was annoyed.
"She's one of Sakura's patients from when I was assigned to help her at the hospital." I explained.
Tenten let the air out from her cheeks and stood up. "I'm going to do some target practice until they're done." She put her hands behind her head and stalked off towards the main target posts. I frowned slightly as I watched her figure retreat deeper into the field. Maybe Ino had not met all of the girls. But Tenten did go for dinner and drinks with both Ino, Sakura, and Hinata frequently.
