A/N: Okay, okay, they're going to be reunited already, geez! :) Sorry, this one took a little while.
Disclaimer: I don't own Willy Wonka or any of his friends. I am just the person manipulating their lives and changing their universe as they know it.
Willy Wonka (finally)
The morning before the tour, Toffee was in the process of pulling on one of her cleaner sweaters when her mother said, "Toffee, I would like you to wear one of my old dresses."
Toffee smiled, and said, "Thanks."
Mrs. Bucket smiled, and said, "It's no trouble, honey."
She pulled out three different faded dresses; one soft blue one with a lovely black velvet sash, another dark green one with a lower neckline and a full skirt, and another violet one with a pleated front and a lace trim.
Toffee looked over them, and selected the dark green dress. Mrs. Bucket helped her slip it over her head, then fished a long strand of pearls from the trunk she found the dresses in.
Toffee gasped, and smiled as her mother fixed it around her neck. Mrs. Bucket smiled, and whispered in her daughter's ear, "You're lovely."
Toffee kissed her mother on the cheek, and slipped on some simple black flats. She looked into the mirror, and pulled her long, wavy brown hair into a bun.
Mrs. Bucket smiled, then called Charlie down from the loft. Toffee smiled as she saw her little brother dressed in their father's old suit (with a little reworking done, of course).
Their mother said, "Alright, your father and I will walk you to the factory, and we'll stand outside the gates while yout two go inside."
Mr. Bucket piped up from the kitchen, "It's snowing outside, so put on a coat, both of you."
Charlie pulled on his coat, and Toffee slipped on a small black sweater.
The grandparent stayed behind, and said 'good-bye' as the four of them walked to the factory gates.
Mr. and Mrs. Bucket deflected mobs of paparazzi on the way to the gates, and finally waved them good-bye as the police escorted them to the front of the enormous crowd.
Toffee and Charlie stood next to the other ticket winners.
Their parent cheered from the front of the crowd, and waved as an enormous voice over a hidden intercom said, "Please enter."
Overwhelmed with excitement, the ticket winners (including Toffee and Charlie) ran forward through the opening gates. They all paused once they reached the inside.
The voice over the intercom said, "Come forward." The ticket winners nervously walked forward.
"Close the gates." the voice said. Behiind the winners, the enormous iron gates began to close.
The voice said, "Dear visitors, I would like to welcome you to my humble factory." As they walked forward, the factory began to block out the sun.
The voice said, "And who am I? Well..." A large portion of the wall in front of them slid away, revealing a colorful mess of puppets, all singing some sort of song praising Willy Wonka.
The tune was rather catchy, and both Toffee and Charlie bobbed their heads to the tune.
The other children and their chaperones, however, just stared rudely.
Suddenly, a large velvet chair rose from the center of the stage, where Willy Wonka was probably susposed to be, but instead it was empty.
With one final note, all of the puppets froze, and began to catch on fire.
Toffee and Charlie started cheering, and applauding, but the other winners just gawked.
However, when they stopped clapping, one pair of hands was still clapping behind them.
Toffee turned around rather quickly, and slammed her head into the head of the person behind her.
BLAM!
After she picked herself up, she brushed off her skirt, and said, "Oh gosh, I'm so sorry..."
Toffee looked up at the same moment that the stranger lifted his head, revealing an extremely pale face framed by dark brown hair cut in a bob. His eyes were covered by a pair of enormous reddish goggles.
Toffee gasped. She offered her hand to help him up, saying, "Oh my gosh, Mr. Wonka I am so sorry!"
Charlie turned to his sister, and whispered in pure awe, "Willy Wonka!"
The spoiled little wart (oh, sorry, Veruca) spoke up from beside her father, "Well, shouldn't you be up there?"
Willy Wonka faced the little brat, and said, "Well I couldn't very well watch the show from up there, now could I?"
Veruca frowned as Mr. Wonka (still a bit dazed from banging heads with Toffee) walked to the top of the steps in front of the ticket winners.
They all stared awkwardly at him (besides Toffee, who was looking oddly star-struck, and Charlie, who was trying not to wake up), and he swallowed a couple of times.
Toffee thought to herself, "Oh, no, it's the speech anxiety. That always used to kill him in front of crowds."
Mr. Wonka swallowed again, then said in an odd, pinched voice, "Good morning starshine. The earth says 'hello'!"
After this recieved no reaction from the small crowd, he frowned and started digging through his pockets.
A few awkward, silent moments later, he pulled out a few cuecards. He selected one, then said, "Greetings! I shake you warmly by the hand."
He offered forward one latex-gloved hand, which Toffee and Charlie both accepted.
Willy gained a little confidence, then said, "Well, we should get on with the tour! Follow me." He turned around, then walked through the burning ruins towards the large door on the back wall.
The disgusting Gloop boy shuffled forward, and said through an enormous mouthful of chocolate, "Don't you want to know our names?"
"Well I couldn't think of how it wouldn't matter," Willy said in a dull voice.
Toffee gave a small chuckle at his response, making him betray a small smile.
The group, led by Willy Wonka, entered through the door, revealing a longish hallway with a red carpet running down the center.
Willy peeled off his coat, tossing it onto the floor, then tossed his goggles on top of his coat on the floor. He said, "Just drop your coats anywhere."
The other members of the group literally tossed theirs' anywhere (including Veruca's priceless mink), but Toffee and Charlie both hung theirs' on a nearby coat rack.
Mike Teavee's father, Mr. Teavee, said, "My, it sure is toasty in here!"
Willy turned around, and said very quickly, "Huh? Oh yeah, the workers come from a very tropical climate. They just can't stand the cold."
Without his goggles on, Toffee could see his violet eyes. Charlie had to tap her on the shoulder multiple times before she kept walking.
The group barely got ten steps before Toffee saw Violet's mother egging Violet to do something. Violet finally rolled her eyes, and nearly tackled Mr. Wonka around the waist.
Willy flinched, and stared down in utter horror at another human being touching him.
Violet let go, and said, "Hi! I'm Violet Beauregard!"
Willy started to walk away, saying, "I don't care," and Violet's mother shot her daughter another look. Violet said, "Well, you should because I'm the one who's going to win the big prize at the end!"
Toffee rolled her eyes, and Willy said, "Well, you do seem confident, and confidence is key."
Toffee saw Mrs. Beauregard flash her daughter a look of victory, but Violet just frowned and started walking closer to Charlie.
The spoiled wart (ugh, sorry, Veruca, I keep getting them mixed up. Or are they one and the same?) launched herself in front of Mr. Wonka, and dived into a curtsy. "My name is veruca Salt, and it is a pleasure to meet you sir." she said, sporting the fakest smile Toffee had ever seen.
Willy actually found this amusing, and he smiled as he said, "Funny, I always thought a veruca was a kind of wart you got on the bottom of you foot, ha ha!"
Veruca's smile quickly faded to an angry frown, then she almost got ran over by the Gloop pig (ugh, sorry, Augustus).
He quickly spat out around the hunk of chocolate in his mouth, "I am Augustus Gloop, I love your chocolate!"
Willy, fighting back the strong urge to gag, said, "I can see that." He started to walk forward again when he paused.
He turned around, and looked down at the television nut (UGH, Mike, sorry), and said in a low dangerous voice, "You. You're Mike Teavee. You're the little devil who cracked the system."
He turned, and faced Charlie, and said in a gentler voice, "And you. Well, you're lucky to have such a wonderful sister."
He looked a little longer than nesseccary at Toffee, then said quickly, "And you must be their... p-...p-" he kept choking on the word.
Toffee prompted gently, "Parents." Willy nodded, and said, "Yeah! Moms and Dads!" He got a weird look on his face on the word 'dads'. He started staring oddly at nothing, then said, "Dad?" He said in almost a whisper, "Papa?"
He snapped out of his weird trance, then said in a shakey voice, "Let's move along."
They walked down the hallway for a small bit until Toffee noticed that the ceiling was getting shorter and shorter.
They stopped at the end of the hallway, where the ceiling was so low that the chaperones had to duck their heads.
At the bottom of the wall was a tiny door that Willy unlocked with a huge loop of keys.
He turned to the winners, and said, "And now, here is the most important room in the entire factory."
Mike said his first words of the tour, "Why is the door so small?"
Willy calmly said, "To keep all the big, chocolately flavor inside!" and with that, he pressed his gloved hand against the top portion of the wall, pushing aside the entire wall, which turned out to be the real door.
All of the winners (and their chaperones) gasped in pure wonder.
A/N: How do you like Willy so far? I tried to keep him in character, although I'm just adding in a love interest. Not such a big deal.
I'm lying. It's pretty hard to get a character like Willy Wonka to act like he's in love. But I hope I did it right. But this next chapter will have more Willy/OC fluff. I promise! :)
Until then,
