Chapter 3: The first time in forever.

"Mrs Laney, are you up?" asked someone.
Laney woke up and her hair was a mess.
"Yeah…. I've been up for hours," she said until she fell asleep again.
Laney quickly woke back up and looked at her calander.
"Its today," she said, "Its today!"
She quickly got on her feet and got dressed for the day.
"Its corination day!" she said as she hugged someone.
"Wow, someone's happy," said a butler.

Laney: The window is open, so's that door
I didn't know they did that anymore
Who knew we owned eight thousand salad plates?
For years I've roamed these empty halls
Why have a ballroom with no balls?
Finally they're opening up the gates
There'll be actual real live people

But wow, am I so ready for this change

Tonight imagine me gown and all
Fetchingly draped against the wall
The picture of sophisticated grace
Ooh! I suddenly see him standing there
A beautiful stranger, tall and fair
I wanna stuff some chocolate in my face
But then we laugh and talk all evening,
Which is totally bizarre
Nothing like the life I've had so far
For the first time in forever
There'll be magic, there'll be fun

I could be noticed by someone
And I know it is totally crazy
To dream I'd find romance

At least I've got a chance
Carrie looked apicture of their parents and sighed.
Carrie: Don't let them in, don't let them see
Be the good girl you always have to be
Conceal, don't feel, put on a show
Make one wrong move and everyone will know
Laney and Carrie: But its only for today, its agony to wait.
Carrie: Tell the guards to open up the gates
Laney: The gates
Laney: For the first time in forever
Carrie: Don't let them in, don't let them see
Laney: I'm getting what I'm dreaming of
Carrie: Be the good girl you always have to be
Laney: A chance to change my lonely world
Carrie: Conceal
Laney: A chance to find true love
Carrie: Conceal, don't feel, don't let them know
Laney: I know it all ends tomorrow,
So it has to be today

She bumped into someone and fell on a boat.
A boy looked at her.
"Did I hurt you?" he asked.
"No, I'm ok," said Laney as she got back up.
"Are you sure?" he asked.
"Yeah," she said.
The boy held out his hand for her.
"I'm Prince Lenny of the souther isles," said Lenny.
"Laney, Princess Laney," said Laney.
Lenny bowed in respect for her.
"OH man, I'm gonna be late," said Laney, "I should be going. Its nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet…." Said Lenny before he fell in the water.
His horse laughed.
