Previously in THE MANSION…..

"This was not even punishment. Get any closer to the bladers and I will kill you, understand? Friendship weakens the senses and each friend you make, the worse your punishments will get.

Tala grimaced as he watched his friend struggle and fight, not caring what he damaged in the process. His dearest friend was getting beaten and this time, he couldn't stop it. He remembered how Kai would cheer him up, how when they were younger Kai would intimidate all the other boys in the Abbey when Tala was being picked on. His greatest friend, his closest ally, his brother.

~FLASH BACK~

'Friends forever?' A young Tala whispered to Kai. Kai shook his head no, Tala looking crestfallen. Kai grinned, taking his bloodied palm and holding Tala's in his own, the blood intertwining. 'Brothers forever', he corrected. They stayed in place, holding one another's hands for what seemed like an eternity to the young bladers. 'You're all I got left Tals, you're my family', the three year old boy sniffled, watching as his brother was wrapping the last bits of his shirt around his hand. 'Brothers' Tala whispered. 'Forever', Kai whispered back, cuddling in his warm embrace.

The two boys slept easily that night, in each other's arms. The cold wind made its way through the cell, causing the boys to cuddle each other. The cot they slept on was covered with wires protruding, and the thin sheet that counted as a blanket continued to drift farther away from them, leaving their tight embrace as their source of warmth.

"GOD DAMN IT!" he roared, "I can't take it anymore." Tala struggled with his ropes and bindings as everyone turned to look at him.

Bryan grinned maliciously as he realized his captain was back. "GO GET HIM TALA!". Everyone cheered and Tala was squirming through the ropes.

"SHIT! I can't undo them." Tala sat dejectedly on the floor. "Hey, Kitty cat," the neko-jins turned towards him, his ice blue eyes boring into theirs. "Do you have claws?"

The neko-jins looked at one another, and then down at their hands. None of them had claws. Turning back to the fiery headed Russian, they sullenly shook their heads no. Tala struggled and fought against his bindings again. He felt them rub against his wrists and he pulled again at the irritating restraints. He strained and pulled until he heard the ropes tearing. Continuously he pulled and the ropes snapped, each strand tearing away, only to be stopped by another set of bindings.

"I can't do it…" Tala whispered under his breath. His head was down, hair shrouding his eyes, "I can't do it." He tightly shut his eyes, tears wracking his tense body. The tremors made their way through. No one has ever seen the great Tala Ivanov cry, not even the Blitzkrieg Boys. The only one who had was Kai, so for Tala to cry, the situation must have been bad.

- Kai's Point of View-

Kai stood, cornered into a wall. Boris was hunched over in the middle of the room, spitting out blood. Raven stalked over towards Boris, rubbing circles on his back, and then changing her path, she turned towards Kai. Smirking, Kai spat on her feet.

"You insolent child. I am here trying to bring you home, to us, to your family." For once her eyes softened, and she genuinely looked hurt.

Kai turned his head, snickering into his shoulder. His snickers and giggles erupted into full blown laughter as he clutched his injured ribs. "You? My family? You killed my family, my parents, and my grandfather, ooooo my GRANDFATHER, the one man I saw as family threw me into an abbey. He trained me to be heartless, to not love, to hate. My family is on the other side of this wall. Tala, the Blitzkrieg boys, and as much as I hate to say it, the Blade breakers are my family."

Slowly but surely, Raven stood frozen in place as he continued to laugh, gasping for air. He paused and coughed, spitting blood at her feet. Swallowing in fear, Raven marched forwards, clenching her jaw and raising her leg to kick the injured boy. "They used you baby boy," she whispered, matting his hair down gently, holding him in a foreign embrace. She kissed the top of his head and he pushed her away.

"DON'T TOUCH ME!" he screamed. "YOU USED ME! You betrayed me." He rasped and slowly rose to his feet. He stumbled in her direction, and Boris too marched forward. He ran towards Raven, and helped her to rise. The both of them stood, watching as Kai fell flat on his face. It was almost inaudible, showing them how weak and light the boy actually was. The only noise heard was Tala's roars for his friend.
