"Neish, I found something," Tom said and looked at me. "What have you got?" I asked him curiously. "I hacked into Frank's Email and found this," he said and brought a digital piece of paper on the screen. "This is a email Frank received the day after we assume Jake died." "Which is the same day as Carrie and Oscar were arrested," I asked. "Precisely, and could you guess who sent that email?" He asked and looked at me. "Stella" "Right again," he said and typed away on his keyboard. "If I zoom in we can see what she wrote." Tom said and we started to read. When I had finished I stood there in shock. "She didn't get the information from higher up in M.I.9. She got some information from the people who exanimate Jakes body and she then assumed that Carrie and Oscar killed him." I said. "That is enough to get her convicted if we take this higher up in M.I.9" Tom said. I looked down at my clock only to be surprised. (Again) Tom you realize that school starts in three hours?" I asked him. "Yeah, I had an idea," he muttered. I put my head on the desk again and fell asleep.
"Aneisha? Aneisha? Are you awake?" I heard someone say as they were shaking my shoulder. "Ugh, five more minutes." I said. "Sorry Neish, school starts in fifteen minutes." I rubbed my eyes and blinked a couple of times. It was Dan that was waking me up. Tom was fast asleep beside me with his head on the keyboard. "Tom, wake up." I said and ruffled his hair. He opened his eyes and blinked. "Ho... how much is the clock?" he yawned. "A quarter past eight." I said. Tom yawned again. "When did you fell asleep last night?" I asked laughing a little. "I don't know. Last time I looked at the clock it was around half seven," he said and yawned again. "Common we have school." I said and dragged him into the lift.
Aneisha P.O.V
I dragged a half asleep Tom inside the classroom. First lesson, double English with Mr Flatley. I looked over at Tom and he was resting his head on the books asleep. I shook my head and notated from the black board. When the bell rang I looked over at Toms desk. He was still asleep. I shock him carefully. "Tom, Tom you need to wake up," I said. "Aneisha, what is it with Tom today? He don't seem well," Mr Flatley commented. "I think he is ill. He complained about a headache earlier," I answered. "Yes. That's not good. You should follow him to the school nurse and I'll tell Miss King why your late," Mr Flatley said and walked out of the classroom. "Tom. Tom!" I said louder and it finally woke him up. "What?" "Flatley didn't notice you were asleep until recently and I said it was because of a headache. So next stop the school nurse," I said. Tome rose from his seat and we walked to the nurse. "She'll probably send me home, but instead I am going back to base and do you know what," he almost whispered and I nodded as we were outside the door. "See you," I said and kissed him on the cheek.
At lunch I was sitting on a table with Dan and Zoe. They were chatting happily and I sat there yawning. "What do you think Neish?" Zoe asked me. "Hmm, what?" I yawned. "Late yesterday?" Zoe asked. "Yeah, you two were asleep long before me. Besides I woke up in the middle of the night..." I suddenly remembered something Tom told me last night. "Com on, this is important," I said and got up from the table. We ran to the caretakers closet and I quickly scanned my thumb and we hurried down to base. "Tom, can you show them what you showed me last night?" I asked him. "Sure," he said without turning. He typed away and he found the file as we gathered around. He told them the same thing he told me, Zoe and Dan was in shock. "So Oscar and Carrie didn't do this. Stella is accusing them because they were the last persons to see him alive," Dan said and I nodded. "We need to tell someone about this!" Zoe said. "But who?" I asked and we looked at each other. "We don't know who we can trust. The people we know the most is Frank, Stella and the Head of M.I.9 and all of them might be involved in this case. "There is one person I know that we can ask," we heard a voice say and we turned around. "Agent Dixon Halliday. AKA Oscars dad," Rose said and came out of the lift. "Brilliant, but how long have you listened?" Tom asked. "Not long, but what is this thing about not trusting Frank and Stella?" she asked and Tom told her about what they had done in HQ last night. "Hmm... Well, that's what happens when you are an agent I guess," Rose said.
Rose P.O.V
I sat down on the chair and put the crutches beside me. I took out my telephone and dialled his number. "Hello Edward, Rose here." "Rose. Long time no see. How are things going?" he asked. "Well, not so good to be honest. Carrie and Oscar have been arrested and the new M.I High team thinks that there is corruption in M.I.9," I said. "Oscar arrested? What happened?" he asked worried. "I can't tell you. Not over phone. Can you come to St' Hearts as fast as possible? We need someone to rely on," I finished. "I'll do anything to prove their innocence. I'll be there as soon as I can," he said. "Great! Call me when you see the school and I'll meet you outside." "Lovely. See you soon Rose," he finished and ended the call. "He's coming. Now we just wait," I said. I picked up my crutches and walked over to the sink in HQ and poured myself a glass of water before I swallowed it down with some painkillers. Zoe stood beside me. "You okay?" she asked me curios. "Yes, it's just painkillers. They'll easy the pain in my leg," I explained to the read haired agent. Then my phone buzzed and it was Edward. "Edward is here. I'll bring him down in some minutes okay?" I asked Zoe and I walked towards the lift.
I walked in front of the school and saw Edward stand there. He saw me and came walking towards me. "Rose. Nice to see you again," he greeted. "You too Edward," I said and we started to walk together to the base. "This is Oscars dad," I said when we stepped out of the lift. This is Aneisha, Zoe, Tom and Dan. They are the new M.I High team," I said and they waved. "Hello," Edward greeted. "Can anyone tell me what has happened, and why my son is in jail?" "It all started some time ago." Tom began. "You remember Roses brother? Good. We figured out a plan to get her to him, but it sort of backfired. Jake ended up kidnapping Rose, and the others followed him back to SKUL only to be kidnapped too. Then Jake helped them escape. Rose and Jake were called to The Head of M.I.9 office, and Jake were placed in prison. Oscar and Carrie were going to talk to him. The day after they had talked to him Jake was dead and they were called to Stella's office. Then some guards came and places them in prison." Tom finished. "Long story short," I said. "I see. Where did she get the evidence from, because I am having a hard time believing that my son and his best friend, would kill your brother," Edward said. "That's what we thought too," I started. "Last night Tom hacked into the M.I.9 mainframe and found a letter from Stella to Frank," I said. "Email Rose," Tom corrected. "Okay. Email that Stella sent Frank. In that email it says that Jake were killed, and since Carrie and Oscar were the lasts on to see him alive, Stella accused them for killing him," I finished. "So why not report this to M.I.9 or M.I.6?" Edward asked us. "That's the problem. We don't know who we can trust at this point. For all we know Frank, Stella and the whole of M.I.9 can be involved," Aneisha said. "But we know that Stella is involved," Tom said turning around to face Edward. "So you need someone to help with the investigation that you can trust?" he asked us. "Precisely," I answered. "I'll help you," Edward smiled. "Also we have a plan B if this goes wrong," I smiled. "What are you planning?" Edward asked unsure. "The media." "That's not a bad back up plan Rose," he smiled. "They can put the pressure on Stella and make people react. There is only one hole in your plan," Edward said. "What?" I asked. "Isn't the M.I High project supposed to be a secret? And the agents identities?" he asked. "Yeah, we have thought about that and they have agreed to it," I said and gestured to the others. "Their going to go through a living hell," Edward said under his breath so I just managed to hear and not the other. I looked at him and he nodded confirming my question.
Dan, Aneisha, Edward and I went to M.I.9 HQ the next morning. Dan, Aneisha and Edward was going to see if they could find anything to prove that Oscar and Carrie were innocent. Me on the other hand, I had much bigger plans. And dangerous.
Aneisha's P.O.V
"What are you going to do?" I asked Rose quietly so only she could hear it. "I'm going to talk to Oscar and Carrie," she said. "Are you crazy? Do you know how dangerous it is if you are caught?" she asked me. "Yes I know that it is risky, but this is something I need to do," Rose said stubbornly. "You are on crutches for crying out loud!" I protested. "I know, but I need to do this," she said and looked at me. "Look," she said almost whispering. "I have done some research and I know what I'm doing Aneisha. I know some secrets about M.I.9 that no one knows," she said. "When did you figure it out?" I asked. "We had a great first year exploring," she smiled wise. I shook my head. "Good luck, and be careful," I said and she left.
"Edward. What exactly are we looking for?" I asked him looking up from one of the filing cabinets. "Anything that we can connect between Jakes death and Oscar and Carrie," Edward said and we went back to searching folders. Ten minutes later Dan had found something. "Guys, look what I found," Dan said and put a brown folder on the table in front of us. "Sound record from Stella's office and video footage from the cell where Jake was. This is the day before and same day as he died," he said and opened it. "We need to take this back to Tom so he can go through it," I said and we returned back to base.
"Tom? Could you help us?" I asked as soon as we walked inside HQ. "What do you need help with this time?" He asked. "This is the sound and video record from the day before and same day as Jake died," I quickly explained. "The sound file is from Stella's office, and the video is from Jake," Dan added. "Since it is a total of 96 hours I need help," he said "I'll start by scanning the file to see if it recognise Oscar and Carries voices," Tom explained and dragged the file into one of his many programs. "Bingo, I found a mach. Now we only need to listen to this part," Tom said and turned on the volume of his PC and played the sound file.
"That was fast." Stella said "Well, what was you wondering about Stella?" Carrie asked. "It is about Rose. We figured out who was in that warehouse with you." Stella said. "It is not god news. It was The Grand Master, Roses dad and Jake. As you know Jake is the only one that is in jail. We need to find out where Roses dad is and why they were watching us. Jake has of course denied to say anything so our only hope is to find someone so we can get information." Stella continued. "So on to something a bit different. What happened to Rose?" "She had a relapse, and thought that Oscar had killed me and Jake in a park. It turned out that is was a dream..." Carrie said. "What kind of relapse?" Stella asked curiously "She is scare that boys will hurt her. It was like this some years ago too. After she had come over it she as Oscar got together." Carrie said. "I see, now I think that a good start is to tell Jake what is going on." Stella said. "Isn't that illegal since he is in prison?" Oscar asked. "Well, yes but we need to get this information." Stella said. "Besides congratulation." Carrie said and the door closed.
"This confirms it. Stella pursued them to talk to Jake. Maybe it was to make it look like they killed him?" Edward said and we nodded acknowledging. "Tom, could I borrow that sound clip?" Edward asked Tom and he put it on a flash drive. "I'll see you guys soon," Edward said and went inside the tunnels, probably to M.I.9.
