Chapter 18
"That was fun," Cassie said
"Yeah"
They walk out to where the limo is Cassie and Janet got in then the limo left with a full escort to the courthouse while Jack and Sam follow the president down to the oval office where General Maryland was waiting for them
"Frances have you got them?"
"Yes sir, colonel, Major your news ID cards" he pass them an envelope each
"Thank you sir" they both said
"Here is Samantha Carter new ID" he pass them to Sam
"Thank you sir, I'll pass them on to her"
"Is there any questions you want to ask?" the president asked
"Yes sir what going to happen to us" Jack asked
"Well what do you want to do?" Jack and Sam look at each other then pack to the president
"Since both Sam and I have been removed from SG1 since the accident… we would like to get married"
"What about SG1 we need you both"
"Well sir we have talk about that and with our recommendation you hire Dr Samantha Carter to the SGC and she can take my place on SG1 while I'm working in the labs and when she not off world she can help me" Sam said
"Colonel what do you think of the idea?" The president asked
"We did talk about is and we both agree and we even talk to Samantha and Jon about it. They both like the idea since Jon already got his further set sir"
"Well in that case we like the idea but… Major Carter if another SG team is a member short will you be able to fill in till that member back on his or her feet or replace?"
"Yes sir"
"Well then it settles, we will contact general Hammond about this, while you two talk to your clones" they both smile
"Yes sir" they both said
"If there is nothing else you may return back to the SGC"
"Thank you sir" he shook hands with them
"And congratulations on your engagement… Cassie told me" they both were shock at first then smile again since he was smiling Jack pulled the white stone out of his pocket
"Well sirs you more than welcome to drop by at the SGC any time"
"You never know when we might be dropping by"
"Yes sir, shall we Sam" they held onto each others hands then they were beam away.
"I feel sorry for George"
"Mr President?" he looked at Henry
"I've know George Hammond for thirty plus years, he is a good man. He told me what SG1 is like I've read their reports and he told me a few things about Major Carter and Colonel O'Neill those to can be a handful. Well colonel O'Neill can be but know with Dr Carter working at the SGC it might drive both the colonel and George crazy"
"But isn't that all going to change sir?"
"Yes it is, but what George told me things aren't good with this goa'uld Anubis about"
"I know all about that sir"
"All we can do is give them all the support that they need"
"Yes sir"
When Jack and Sam return back to the SGC they were beams down in to the briefing room where Hammond and Jacob is.
"Sam Jack, we just saw you two on TV"
"Thanks dad"
"I just called Mark, he saw you two on the news, he shock and want to come and see you Sam"
"I bet, did you explain to him that it would be a while before the court case is over?"
"Yes I did tell him, he said he feels jealous" Sam smile
"I bet he dose dad"
"Well sir, Jacob, Sam and I going to get change and give Samantha her new ID and General you going to be receiving a phone call in the next ten minutes?"
"From whom?"
"The president" he said smiling then they walk out of the room leaving both Jacob and George standing there
"I got a bad feeling I know what it is," Hammond said
"What that George?"
"Having Dr Carter working here" Jacob smile
"Well if that what you think it is, shouldn't you bee feeling sorry for Jack?" George chuckle knowing what Jack is like when Sam talk tecnobable
"Yeah I guest your right" Jack and Sam walk down to the locker rooms
"Meet you in the mess hall" jack said
"Sure"
Then they walk into their locker rooms to get change into their BDU then they walk down to the mess hall. Where they got them selves a cup of coffee and slice of cake each before walking over to one of the tables and sat down where they talk about their wedding plans, their homes things like that.
Fifteen minutes later they both went there separate ways till lunchtime. Sam walked into her lab to see Samantha there helping Dr Lee with a device. He stops when he saw who walk in the room then he looked at Samantha then to Sam
"I'm the clone," Samantha said to him
"I thought" he close his eyes and shook his head. Sam walked over to see what they were working on.
"Here" Sam pass Samantha her new ID
"Thanks"
"Where Jon?"
"In the gym"
"Ah, so is the device that SG5 brought back last week"
"Yes, so how do I call you?" he look at them
"I'm still be Major Carter and Samantha will be Dr Carter"
"Ok that easy enough"
Sam left them to it while she went to finish off her reports till both Jon and Jack walk into the lab at the same time. Sam looked up from her report and smile at Jack. She saved her report before closing down. While she was doing that, Jon walk over and wrap his arms around Samantha waste. Dr lee look up in shock then turn and his eyes widen when he saw Jack standing there with a grin on his face.
"You must Colonel O'Neill" then he turn to Jon
"You must be his clone?"
"Yep and I'm steeling Samantha from here cause it lunch time, so shall we"
"Sure" then they walk out of the lab with Jack and Sam behind them.
They walk down to the mess hall where they got their lunch and walk over to a table where Teal'c and Daniel is. They all talk while enjoying their lunch. After lunch they all went their separate ways again for the rest of the day.
That evening Sam was up in the control room doing a computer diagnostics when there was a bright light. She looked down and smile then she stood up and walked down to the gate room to see tired Janet and Cassie there
"Hey how was your first day go?"
"Good, we going back again in the morning for the continue of the trail"
"Ok come on why don't you two go and get change and I'll go and get the others and meet you in the mess hall"
"Thanks Sam"
They walk out of the gate room and went their separate ways. Twenty minutes later they all were sitting at one of the large tables eating dinner while talking.
"Sam where Uncle Jacob?" Cassie asked
"He was called back to the tok'ra an hour ago"
"Ok" They all talk about the court case and how it was going for the next hour then they went their separate ways for the rest of the night.
The next day, Janet and Cassie was beam to the courthouse for the day while Sam and Samantha work in Sam lab. Jon was catching up with his studies while Jack was catching up with his paper work. Daniel was doing more translating while Teal'c was off world visiting Ry'ac and Bra'tac for three days.
Over the weekend, Daniel went to check on his place, Sam, Jack, Jon and Janet homes. He collected all their mail before returning back to the SGC. When Jack finish his paperwork he walk down to Sam lab after dropping the reports off at Hammond office. When he walk in Sam walk typing away on her lap top
"Hey" he said. Sam look up and smile
"Hey finish all your paper work?"
"Yeah where your clone?"
"With yours" she said smiling
"Ah, well any way since I got nothing to do I through I'll come here to see you"
"You got nothing to do?" Sam raise her eye brows
"Yeah?"
"Well would you like to do some shopping"
"Sam we can't leave the base"
"I know, I talking about over the Internet"
"Oh, good idea, I could do with some more clothes"
"I know what you mean, I had to give half of mine to my clone"
"Any clean clothes?"
"No"
"Well how about I got and get all our dirty laundry together and get Daniel to wash them for us at the laundry mat in town"
"Sounds like a good idea to me, you know which room I'm in"
"Yeah I do, well that should keep me busy for the rest of the afternoon" then he walked out the door whistling the Simpson turn.
Jack walk down to where the VIP rooms are, he would hear giggling coming from Jon room which made him smiling knowing what his clone is up to. He walked down to his room and walk in after unlocking the door.
He got a bag out and that already got his washing in it, and then he went to Sam room and got her washing. When he saw what sort of underwear she was wearing he smile he look at the size of them before putting them into his bag. He check to see how much shampoo and other toiletries she has got left while he called Daniel, when finish talking to him he walk down to Jon room, he knock on the door and waited. Few seconds later the door open and Jon pock his head around the corner
"Jack"
"Jon if you and Samantha got any washing to be done, get them together and meet me top side in half an hour, Daniel going to wash out clothes and do any shopping that needed to be done"
"Sure see you then"
"Ok have fun you kids" he gave his clone a wink before Jack walk way.
He walk down to where he could access the Internet, when he walk into the room to see Cassie there
"Cassie" she turned and smiles
"Jack"
"Can you go to you and your mum room gather all your dirty washing together, Daniel would be here in about twenty five minutes to take our laundry out to be clean"
"Sound good to me" then she got up and walked out of the room.
Jack sat down and he looking some shops that are in Colorado springs that are on the web site he check out what they got in, then he pull out pen and paper from his pocket and started writing down things.
By the time he finish Cassie walk in with two bags in hand
"Woo you sure got a lot of washing there" Cassie rolled her eyes
"Funny" he stood up and took the two bags from Cassie hands then picks up his one
"I'll get Daniel to drop them off when he returns"
"Ok, thanks"
Then Jack walk out the door and walk down to the locker rooms where he got his wallet out then he walk back to the elevators and head to the surface. When he got their Daniel was they're waiting at the check pint, he was talking to Jon.
"Gee Jack that a lot of washing you got there from you and Sam"
"Funny, this is from Sam and me" he pass the bag over to Daniel
"This is from Cassie and Janet"
"I should of known" Jack pass the bags to Daniel. He put them into his car then close the trunk
"Here is a list of things Sam and I need and here is some cash that should cover for every thing" he pass Daniel the list and his wallet that got the cash in it
"Ok I got Jon and Samantha as well, I better get going"
"Ok, hey thanks"
"Your welcome" then Daniel got into his car and he drive away.
Jon and Jack walk back to the elevators and headed back down to the SGC levels. They talk on the way down Jon got off the VIP quarter levels and Jack got off at the lab levels. He went to get Sam since it was after three. When he walk into the lab, Sam was shutting down her things then she walk over to him
"Shall we" Sam, said
They walk out of the lab and walk down to the mess hall where they got them selves a piece of cake and cup of coffee. They sat down at one of the tables where they talk.
"Daniel taken care of our washing for us"
"Ok that good of him"
"I know, he got Cassie, doc, and our clone washing as well"
"Sounds like he is going be a while"
"Yeah, so what would you like to do tonight?"
"We can check out the web sites for our wedding?"
"Hmm… not a bad idea" they talk about other things for the next twenty minutes before they went their separate ways for the rest of the afternoon.
