Chapter 21
Just after Janet and her staff wheel Jack and Sam into the infirmary, she started barking order then the nurses ran around getting equipment's set up so that both Jack and Sam are hook up to the heart monitor. When Janet saw that their heart rate is normal, she was please.
She knew every one would be waiting to hear news about them after they heard what had happen to them. Janet was just about to walk out to let Samantha and Jon know what was happening when they both woke up at the same time. Jack was groaning then he opens his eyes then close them again
"Some one turn the lights down, to bright" Janet walk over and turn the light down then walk back over to the beds
"Is that better colonel" he open them and blink a couple of times
"Yeah… Sam"
"I'm here" they turn to look at each other and smile.
"Are you ok?"
"I will be just a slight headache, you?"
"Same" then they turn to Janet who was removing the wires from the both.
"So the plan work," Jack asked
"Yes colonel, it work, there was fifteen arrest form you and Sam kidnapping"
"Ok how did the case go?" she smile
"They all were found guilty and sentience for ten years each and Kinsey got thirty years since he was the leader and him using his presidential power to get what he wanted and using the president also didn't help either"
"Good I hope he rots in hell for what he done"
"At lest that one bass we don't have to worry about jack" he turn to see Sam smiling
"That is so true, but there is other rotten bass out there" he said waving his arms about
"At lest it a start"
"True"
Once Janet removes all the wires from them. They both sat up and they went to get off the gurneys when Janet stops them
"Stop right there, I want you both to lie down and get some rest"
"Janet I'm fine"
"Sam"
"Janet"
"Sam what did Daniel say about the writing where that head device was?" Sam thought about it
"Healing… oh my god we can heal our selves"
"Well that might explain why you both woke up an hour after being tranquillize"
"Yeah" they both got up from the beds and they both hug each other then they turn to Janet
"Can we go and let every one know that we are fine"
"Sure but any dizzy spells, come back here"
"We will, thanks Janet"
They walk out into the corridor where their friends and work mate are. They were all shock to see them up and walking around.
"Hi guys we are both fine and thanks for you help today, we will let you know when we will go fishing for more bass" Jack said, they all grin
They talk among them selves for the next ten minutes when General Hammond walk towards them
"Colonel, Major, it good to see you both are ok"
"Thanks sir"
"The president is going to make an announcement since you two made news"
"Again sir" Jack said smiling
They follow the General into the briefing room with Daniel, Teal'c, Jon and Samantha behind them. When they walk in Hammond pick up the remote and turn it on where they saw the president walk up to the microphones while the media was taking photos of the president. They media were asking questions till he put his hand up and they all went quiet.
"This morning in Colorado Springs mall Colonel O'Neill and Major Carter we both kidnap in the car park, from what I've been told they were tranquiler before the kidnappers took them. The kidnappers didn't get far, they were caught and apprehended on Peterson air force Base where they were planing on taking off on one of the NID planes that they use to take the colonel and Major to where, we don't know at this time. I do not know the colonel and Major condition at this time… questions?" then he point to one of them
"Mr President the group that kidnap the colonel and Major are they connected to the x-vice president Kinsey?"
"I do not know at this time" then his security walk in and whisper some thing in his ear he gave her a nod then she turn around and walk out the door again
"I just received word colonel O'Neill and Major Carter are both fine and will make a full recovery" then they put their hands up he pointed to another reporter
"Mr President are you letting Colonel O'Neill and Major Carter stay in the air force and keep their ranks even though they look like teenagers"
"Yes I am, they both have work hard for them to get to where they are today, I'm not going to take that away form them"
Then a Major walked in and whispers some thing in the general ear; he gave a nod then the Major walk out again. Then General step ford and whisper some thing in the president ear then he step back
"General Mayland just inform me that x-vice president Kinsey has been sentience to thirty years for that he did in the kidnapping of Major doctor Fraser and her daughter Cassandra Fraser and the attempt kidnapping of Colonel O'Neill and Major Carter"
Then they put their hands up and he pointed to another reporter
"Mr President do you think that there might be more kidnapping attempts on the colonel and Major?"
"I do not know, if there is and the kidnapper get caught, justice will be serve" then he pointed to one of the reporters
"Any ideas on why the group or groups are targeting Colonel O'Neill and Major Carter Mr President?"
"Cause of what happen to them, this group or groups think that they would hold a key to make people younger or even cure to all disease I don't know at this time" there was one question after another. The president answers them before walking out of the media room.
General Hammond turn the TV off and put the remote back to where it was before, then he turn to them.
"Well now every one knows about what happen to us," Jack said
"Colonel, Major the president would like to talk to you both in person" he pass Jack a white stone
"Well we might as well go and see what he want to talk to us about" he held on to Sam hand and push the button then they were beam away
"All we can do is wait," Samantha said
When they beam into the oval office they waited for couple of minutes. When the president and chief of staff walk into the office they saw Jack and Sam there waiting for them
"Colonel, Major that was fast recovery"
"It was for us also sir" Sam said
"Thanks to the ancients" Jack said
"Why do you say that colonel?" he turn to Sam
"Sam" she looked at Jack then to the president
"From the translations it says 'Shield, healing, fertility, knowledge, multiplying' So far we know that healing means we can heal our selves faster than normal person"
"Sam we aren't normal" Sam looked at Jack
"I know that" then she turn back to the president
"As for the knowledge from what we have down loaded when we had our head suck as Jack would say, we gain some of the ancient knowledge"
"What about fertility and multiplying?"
"We don't know at this time sir" Sam said
"Mr President we are here so what are your plans for us?"
"Since we don't know how many NID and other people that got ties to Robert Kinsey, I haven't got a clue what to do with you and your clones"
"Sir since Jack and I are off SG1 and active duty… we would like to get married soon"
"I'm sure you are… well ok but for now you live on the base and if you or your clones decided to go shopping take some back up with you and tell General Hammond before you leave"
"Yes sir"
"Mr President what about Cassie and Jon schooling?"
"They can return back to school but they go strait to school then return back to the SGC. If there been no more attempts in two months, then things will return back to normal and you all will be able to return back to your homes"
"Thanks sir" Sam said
"What about SG1?"
"Colonel you will be about to return back to SG1 with Dr Carter"
"Thank you sir"
"If they're nothing else you can return back to the SGC"
"Thank you sir" Jack held onto Sam and push the button then they were beam out of the oval office.
When they were beams back to the SGC they ended up in the briefing room there the others are.
"What did the president say?" Daniel asked
"We going to living on base for two months if there is no more kidnapping attempts. But we can go into town and shop so long as there is a SG team with us and we let Hammond know before we leave"
"What about Jon and me?" Samantha asked
"Sam for you guys as well. Cassie and Jon can return back to school but they got to return back here after school. If you are planing on doing some shopping after school have a SG team with you"
"What about SG1?" Teal'c asked
"After two months I'll be returning back as plan with Dr Carter and you guys"
"I'll be working in the labs and possible at the alpha, gamma sites off world and possible with the Asgard and tok'ra"
"Oh…lunch"
"Why not" Jack said they walk out of the briefing room and walk down to the mess hall for some lunch, while General Hammond return back to his office. They all spent the rest of the afternoon relaxing doing their own thing.
The next morning Jon, Samantha, Jack and Sam all went into town with a SG team with them. Jack and Sam went to the mall while Jon and Samantha went house hunting and they also went to the same jewelery store and they brought an engagement ring and wedding rings since Jon purpose to Samantha after making love in his room yesterday afternoon.
They decided to keep it quiet till Jon got Sam her ring. While they were looking at the rings, they both decided to get the same ring Sam got but it in 18ct white gold since Sam is in 18ct yellow gold. When Samantha tried her ring on, it was lose, so the guy went out back then return.
He put a plastic ring in side of the ring then Samantha tries it one again, it fit perfectly and she was happy. Jon paid for the three rings then they walk out of the shop seeing the SG team they're waiting for them. When one of them saw Samantha left hand he smile at them
"Congratulation Jon, Dr Carter" the others look at the lieutenant
"Thanks lieutenant" Sam said as they walk down to a café,
The lieutenant lifted his left hand and wiggle his ring finger since he is married him self. When they got to the café they all walk in and pick out what they want. The others smile when they saw Samantha engagement ring. After they paid for their lunch, they walk over to one of the big tables and sat down and enjoy their lunch.
Jack, Sam and the SG team that is with them ate lunch while in the mall since Sam and Jack were doing some more shopping. After lunch, they went to check out couple of real estates places since they wanted to buy a house before getting married.
They found one it both like it was a five bedrooms, five bathroom single story home with triple garage on a two acres section which was in the black forest area. They were inside the real estate shop looking at the different homes till they found the one they like.
They both decided to buy it and put their homes up for sale since they would out to be about the same price. They talk to one of the agents and started getting the paper work sorted out.
When they finish there, they went around to check on Sam house where she check her mail and paid some bills while she used her home computer. Since they were waiting for the agent to show up Sam put a load of washing through her washing machine and did some house work while Jack and two of the guys went around to his place so he could to the same.
Two of the guys sat down and chat while Sam was busy doing things around the house. They could hear her moving around doing dusting and other house hold chores. By the time she had finish, she had the load of washing going through the drier.
While that was going through, she booted up her computer and uses it to check her mail and paid bills. By the time she finishes and shut down her computer, the agent showed up. He took photos of the place and Sam showed him the ownership papers and the value of the house since she got a letter two months earlier letting her know the value of the property.
Once every thing was sorted out and the 'for sale' sign was up, the agent left to go to Jack place. While waiting for Jack and his two guards Sam sat down and relaxes for a while.
When Jack and his two guards showed up Sam was please to see him again.
"Ready to head back to the base?"
"Yep"
"Good cause on the way we picking up some Chinese for dinner, some thing different that mess hall food" Sam smile
"Did you talk to Jon?"
"Yep so he going to meet us back at the SGC"
"Ok do you want to call or order there?"
"I called while on my way here"
"Ok so shall we"
"Come on guys soon as Sam and I are pass the front gates you can go home to your families" Sam pick up her bags and purse before they all walk out the door together.
Half an hour later Jack and Sam pass the front gate and headed into the mountain, then they guy went home to their families. When Jack and Sam got their bags they went down to their rooms so they could put there bags away then they took dinner down to Daniel lab.
When they walk in Daniel, Teal'c, Cassie, Janet, Jon, Samantha and Jacob were all there. Sam smile when she saw her father in BDU clothing
"Dad"
"Hi ya kiddo" she walk over and gave him a hug.
"When did you get here?"
"Hour ago, George told me what happen to you and Jack"
"Ok have you had any dinner?"
"No, but Jack knew I was here, I called him" he said smiling
"Well it good to see you"
"You to Sam" Jack put the bags on the table and pull every thing out.
"How long can you stay here for?"
"Few days"
"Well it good to see you"
"You to" they all talk while eating their dinner.
Sam and Jack told every one about the house they just brought and they hope that their homes will be sold other wise they would have to go to the bank for a lone till their homes are sold. Jon and Samantha told every one about their engagement and Samantha showed every one her ring. They all congratulated them.
"You two didn't waist any time" Cassie said grinning they all laugh.
"Jack and I have been talking, we already set a date for our wedding"
"When?"
"Three weeks" They were all shock
"Wow how can you prepare a wedding in that time" Daniel asked
"We made some phone calls and three weeks is the closest the next avail date is next year"
"We going to have a small wedding with family and close friends" Jack said.
"Well how about a double wedding" Janet said they all look at her
"I don't know" jack said, then he looked at Sam
"What do you think Sam?" she looked at Jack then to Jon and Samantha
"What do you two think?"
"Well it will save…. Oh"
"Samantha?" Jon asked
"I know it a good idea but… Mark" she looked at Jacob
"Oh that is a problem," Sam said
"I'll go and talk to George"
"Thanks dad" Then there was a bright light, when it was gone
