Chapter 28

The jaffa saw a bright light and Samantha reappeared

"Sorry, that was Thor. Come on, we haven't got much time." She picked up one of the lit torches started towards to the stargate with the jaffa following behind her.

"Who is Thor?" one of them asked.

"Have you heard of the Asgard?"

"Yes."

"Well he is one of them."

"How do you know the Asgard?"

"They are friends and allies of the tau'ri," she told them.

When they got to the gate, Sam dialed the land of the light, when the wormhole was formed she told them, "Go on, I'll be right behind you"

"How do we know it's not a trick so you can kill us?"

"Hey, I healed you! Now go, I got a bad feeling. I don't think we're alone… when you get to the otherside, ask for Bra'tac, he should be there."

They walk up the ramp and entered the gate. Sam followed them, keeping an eye out for any super soldiers before she stepping through herself. When she step through to the other side, the gate shut down. Sam saw the rebel jaffa with their staff weapons pointing at them all, she walked up to Radnor. "Radnor, I need to speck to Bra'tac"

"Who are you?"

"You wouldn't believe me if I told you." Then she saw Bra'tac and smiled in relief.

"Bra'tac I need to get home."

"Who are you?" Sam stepped forward till she was standing right in front of him

"Don't you recognised me?"

"Who are you child?" Sam raised here eyebrows.

"For crying out loud, I'm Samantha Carter… Dr Samantha Carter, Major Carter's clone."

"Major Carter is a woman."

"Same here but in this body… oh Jack's got a clone too, his name is Jon… and is my husband."

"You're married to O'Neill?"

"His clone, yes… Sam and Jack are married also, we know you couldn't make it to the wedding… is Ry'ac here? He will know me."

"Yes he is, when he told me, I didn't believe it."

"Well it's true."

"Come."

"Sure" she turned to the others, "I'll be back." She told them and followed Bra'tac to one of the tents.

Ry'ac looked up when he saw the flap of the tent open and Bra'tac entered with Samantha following behind him.

"Ry'ac, do you know this child?"

"Dr Carter, what are you doing here?" Samantha smiled

"I brought some more rebel jaffa with me, they were Anubis'"

"Why bring them here? he will know we are here."

"Relax, he thinks they are dead, he got his super soldiers to kill them… it a long story, but for now there a big problem, Anubis target is earth"

"How do you know this?" Bra'tac asked

"The jaffa told me and Anubis is angry that the ancient depository didn't work and SG1 had escaped with the knowledge."

"Who has the knowledge?"

"Jack has. Look, I need to get home and I haven't got a GDO."

"I'll come with you."

"Thanks, you know once Anubis is dead with his super soldiers, it would be a day of celebrations."

"Indeed. Come, we haven't got much time." They exited the tent and moved to the DHD

"Lower your weapons. They are brothers, give them food and water, I will return soon."

"Thank you Master Bra'tac and Dr Carter."

"Soon we all can have freedom."

"Indeed."

Then Bra'tac dialed earth then sent the code through before they stepped through the gate and it shut down.

Two hours after returning from off world Jack and Sam were together in their room. They were both worried about Jon and what he might do to himself.

"We should keep an eye on Jon please Jack?"

"I know… he going through a lot right now."

"Yeah, how are you feeling?"

"I'm just worried about him."

"Same here." then there was a knock on the door; Jack got up to answer it.

"Jon, come on in." Jon entered the room as Jack closed the door.

"How are you holding up Jon?"

"I can't believe she's gone… why didn't she have her shield up, why?"

"I guess she was just thinking about getting every one back, watching their six."

"Just like you Carter."

"Yeah... with the information Jack got, hopefully it will help us find a weapon which will destroy Anubis once and for all."

"A big honking space gun… that would be worth it."

"I'm sure it will."

"Samantha and I had big plans." Jack sat down next to Sam. She patted the bed and Jon sat down on it facing them.

"Care to share?"

"We were planning on buying a house and starting a family."

"We were thinking the same… the family for starters." Jon nodded.

"Now, that not going to happen… to me. Is it?"

"We could ask Thor."

"No, she still be Samantha Carter, but she won't have Samantha's memories, our wedding, first time we made love, things like that, it won't be the Same." Just then the alarms went off

"Incoming traveler. General Hammond to the control room."

"I should." Sam said.

"No Sam." Jack said holding on to her arm while looking at her, she moved back onto the bed.

"Jon if you need someone to talk to, you know where we are."

"I know, thanks."

Over the PA system they heard "SG1 to the gate room, Major Carter, Jon O'Neill to the gate room."

They looked at each other and quickly up and raced to the gate room.

Bra'tac and Samantha stepped out of the stargate, and walked down the ramp to see General Hammond and the SFs in shock. General Hammond turned to Walter and was just about to say when everyone heard "SG1 to the gate room, Major Carter, Jon O'Neill to the gate room."

"Thank you Walter." Walter was grinning then he turned to Samantha and Bra'tac.

"Hammond of Texas, it is good to see you."

"You too Bra'tac… Dr Carter, we all thought you were dead."

"I know, but I'll tell you in the briefing, we've got a big problem." then Teal'c and Daniel ran into the room and stopped in shock.

"Sam!"

"Yeah it's me and I'm alive!"

"But how?"

"I appear to have the healing powers of the ancients, it seems I cannot just heal myself, but others too."

"Wow…! Wait in the translation it mentions 'healing'."

"Yep." then Jack, Sam and Jon ran into the room and stopped in their tracks.

"I'm back," she said with her arms open wide.

Jon ran over to her and hugged her as he cried happily "You're alive!"

"I gather that, I'm sorry." he pulled back and kissed her.

"Don't you ever do that to me again!"

"I try not to make a habit of getting shot," she said smiling.

"I hope not, it's usually Daniel who ends up in the infirmary."

"True. Look, we've big problems."

"What problems?"

she turn to the others "We really pissed Anubis off and he's coming here with his ships."

"How many are we looking at?" Daniel asked.

"Thirty plus."

"How much time have we got?" Sam asked.

"Monday."

"That's only four days away." Jack said.

"We know., I spoke to Thor, he's going to talk to the council and see if they can spare any ships to help protect earth."

"Ok, so what happens now?"

"I think Jack holds the key in how to defeat Anubis once and for all."

"The download." Sam said.

"Yes… I have an idea, General can you send us to Orilla."

"What do you have in mind?"

"The Asgard have a time dilation device, if they can speed up time for Jack, they can remove it from him after he gets what we need to defeat Anubis and his ships."

"Sir I think it a good idea." Jack said.

"Ok do what you have to do and good luck."

"Sir, I would like to go with them." Jon said.

"I would like to go also Sir." Sam said.

"Granted you leave with in… two hours… now Bra'tac. Do you think the rebel jaffa will help?"

"Yes we also have ships and can help."

"Ok, any ideas?" he looked at them.

"Bra'tac, the best place for your ships will be behind the moon, just in case."

"I will spread the word."

Hammond turn to Walter. "Dial PYX243." He ordered. The gate started spinning.

"O'Neill it is good to see you once again, but two of you?" Jack smiled.

"Well Bra'tac, we will confuse the goa'uld when there is two of us."

"You have confused me" they all grin, just as the worm hole is form.

"Good luck" jack said.

"You to O'Neill."

"Thank for bring me back home Bra'tac, otherwise I'd be a bug on the iris." Samantha said, with that lop-sided grin of Jack.

"Good luck to you both." then turned and left through the gate.

"Come on Samantha, Doc will be waiting with her needles" they left the gate room with their arms around each other.

"I'm sure you will make the pain go away after wards. Oh my back could use a wash too."

"I can handle that." Then they were gone.

"Jon's happy." Teal'c said.

"Yes he is" Daniel said.

"So, cake anyone?"

"Jack". Sam shook her head and left the gate room, he followed her.

"What, Sam, what's wrong with cake?"

"For one, it's almost six o'clock"

"Oh yeah, sorry." Then they others left the gate room and went their separate ways.

Two hours later the six of them were back in the gate room, and the wormhole was opened.

"Good luck and god speed." General Hammond said to them.

Jack and Jon did a usual 'O'Neill salute' before joining the others and stepping through the gate to the other side. When they reached the other side, there were two Asgard waiting for them.

"O'Neill."

"Thor, buddy." he said smiling.

"Thor what did the council say?" Samantha asked.

"We will send ships to your home world."

"Thanks."

"Thor I got an idea that might work, we need a time dilation device."

"Why do you need it for?"

"To speed up time for Jack here. Last time he had the download, it took four days before he went through the gate. I was thinking if you can use the device for that long and the knowledge over takes his brain then we can find out if there is a device that can kill Anubis and his super soldiers before they can destroy earth."

"Yes, I can do that if it will help."

"Yes thank you."

"We will leave now" then he pressed a button on his wrist and he was gone, then Jack was beam three seconds later.
