LoyalFire: I'm back!
Dawn: You take so long to update.
LoyalFire: I-
Evan: I mean seriously, what do you expect us and all your readers to do while they're waiting for you to update?
LoyalFire: I'm sorry! School's hard!
Dawn: Sure it is.
LoyalFire: It is! *sigh* Well anyway, you know the disclaimer! I don't own Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's. Just Dawn and Evan. And their cards of course! Enjoy!
The matchup was Yusei vs Shira. But, once the duel started, Yusei was actually facing the ex-champ, Hunter Pace!
"Why'd you do it?"
I turned around. I saw the silhouettes of a girl and a guy.
I got up from the couch and snuck over to where they were.
I peeked around the corner, and the two people talking were none other than...Maya and Ryker!
"I just don't understand why you helped those Satellites!" said Maya.
"Look, I just felt bad for them! Getting picked on like that," said Ryker.
"I still don't understand you Ryker," said Maya, "They're delinquents! They've been in the Facility!"
I appeared around the corner. "Excuse me," I said, "But what did you say?"
"Nothing!" said Maya trying to cover it up.
"I'm not buying that crap," I said, "Anyone could hear you from a mile away."
"I didn't say anything!" she said.
"Then who did I hear say, 'I still don't understand you Ryker. They're delinquents! They've been in the Facility!'" I mimicked in a really girly voice, "I'm pretty sure that was you."
"Why you!" said Maya, "You are a delinquent! You eavesdropped on our conversation!"
"Calm down Maya," said Ryker, "I'm really sorry about her Dawn."
"No worries," I said, "I'll just show you that a Satellite is way better at dueling than a prejudice city girl who thinks she's better than everyone else."
I walked away.
Gosh, I thought, I knew people treated Yusei and the others like this in the show, but I never knew it would be that harsh. Maybe it's cause Maya and Ryker were never here before. Why did they appear here anyway? And why was there a Fortune 12 instead of Fortune 8?
Evan bumped into me. He had a freaked out look on his face.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"Goodwin," he said, "He's planning to find out who the Signers are."
"Calm down," I said, "We know what's gonna happen. Goodwin's gonna find all the Signers and have them fight against the darkness."
"But he doesn't know about us," he said.
"And we'll keep that way for as long as we can," I said, "Goodwin doesn't have to know about us just yet."
"But what about these?" asked Evan indicating his arm, "They glow just like all the other Signer's marks."
"Then if we don't get worked up, they won't glow and appear," I answered, "Remember, they're gonna try to get us all worked up, so don't let whatever any of your opponents say bother you, or go to your head."
"Got it," said Evan, "And you take your own advice as well."
"I'll see."
I started to walk away.
"Where are you going?" asked Evan.
"I'm gonna go get some info," I said.
"And the Ninja comes out," said Evan, "You're so loud, I can't believe you're so good at that."
I winked. "Don't underestimate me!" I said, "Or your in for a rude awakening."
I snuck around the winding halls to try and find Goodwin's office. After a lot of walking, I saw Lazar walk into a room.
That's Lazar, I thought, He's probably going where Goodwin is.
I walked up to the door and put my ear against it.
"Once we find all the Signers," said a voice that sounded like Goodwin, "We will be able to summon the Crimson Dragon!"
"But what about those other two, Ms. Yumeni and Mr. Knight?" asked a voice that sounded like Lazar, "How do they fit into all of this?"
"If they are who we think they are," said Goodwin, "Then we will be able to raise the Universal Dragon as well!"
I backed away from the door. Universal Dragon? I wondered, What the heck is that? And does that mean that Goodwin already knows about me and Evan?
Akiza walked past me.
"Excuse me," she said walking past. She glared at me.
"Wait!" I said, "Akiza!"
I reached out and grabbed her wrist. Her eyes widened.
"Stay away from me!" she said.
"No!" I said, "Akiza, I will not stay away from you!"
"Why?" she asked, "I'm a monster."
"You are not alone!" I said, "I'm a psychic duelist as well."
"Yeah right!" she said, "You're just saying that."
I let go of her wrist and held my hand in front of me.
"Just look," I said. Fire enveloped my hand. I saw Akiza's eyes widen.
"You are not alone Akiza," I said, "People care about you, whether it's Sayer or someone outside of the Arcadia Movement."
"How do you know about him?" asked Akiza.
"Your 'family' if I dare say is not a big secret," I said, "
I ran back to the lounge and ran into Evan.
"Watch it Dawn," he said.
"Sorry," I said.
"Is everything alright Dawn?" asked Yusei as he got up from the couch.
"Yeah," I said, "Wait, your duel's over Yusei?"
"Yeah," said Yusei.
I missed Yusei's duel! I thought, Just perfect.
"I heard you tried to get some information on the tournament," said Yusei, "What'd you find that made you run back here?"
I took a deep breath.
"Goodwin wants to find out who all the signers are," I said, "That's the only reason he's holding the Fortune Cup."
Yusei's eyes went wide.
"Anything else?" he asked.
"No," I lied. Evan looked at me. He can always tell when I'm lying.
"Ok," said Yusei.
"Excuse us," said Evan grabbing my arm, "But me and Dawn need to talk."
"E-Evan!" I stuttered, "What are you doing?!"
He dragged me outside of the lounge.
"What else did Goodwin say?" he asked me.
"I said that there was nothing else," I said, "At least, not worth revealing right now."
He sighed. "Alright," he said, "Fine. You win. Goodwin didn't say anything else. We have to watch Akiza's match against Sir Randborg."
"I wish my duel would hurry up and come already," I sighed.
Me and Evan walked back into the lounge. Yusei raised an eyebrow, but didn't say anything. I sat next to Yusei on the couch.
"It's time for Akiza's duel," I said.
"Yeah," said Yusei.
"I just hope she doesn't go crazy," I muttered.
LoyalFire: And that's the end!
Dawn: Universal Dragon?
Evan: That sounds weird.
LoyalFire: No it doesn't! The sun, the moon, and the universe!
Dawn: Ok, I guess...
LoyalFire: Nevermind. You'll understand later. See you next time!
