Dawn: And what's with the new name anyway?
MysticFangs: I wanted to change.
Dawn and Evan: *growl*
MysticFangs: ANYWAY, let's get on with this chapter. You know the disclaimer!
Akiza's duel has just started.
"The next duel is Akiza vs. Sir Randsborg!" announced the MC.
People were cheering for Sir Randsborg, but they were booing Akiza.
"What's with people?" I muttered angrily.
Yusei squeezed my shoulder. "Don't worry about it."
"Fine."
Akiza's duel kept going, but I was barely paying attention. But I did know that she had Sir Randsborg on the ropes.
I was ripped out of my thoughts when Evan yelled, "Yeah! Go Akiza!"
I smiled. He so has a crush on her.
Suddenly, Akiza summoned her Black Rose Dragon. My mark, Yusei's mark, and Evan's mark started glowing red. We all held our arms. This time, the pain was different. I felt regret and anger flowing towards me.
"Aki…za?" I said, "Is this how you really feel?"
I looked over at Evan and saw that his eyes were wide. I guess he felt it too. But Yusei didn't realize that. His expression didn't change. Our marks stopped glowing, because Akiza had finished the duel.
"She won," I muttered. "She won!" I said in a louder voice, "Ha! Take that!"
I ran out of the room and into the hallway where I bumped into Maya.
"Watch it," she said.
"Oh, I'm so sorry Maya," I said with fake concern.
"Don't mock me Satellite," she said.
I smiled and walked away. "Can't wait to crush you in our duel City Girl," I said.
The next duel was mine! Finally! Maya doesn't have a duel runner, so it has to be a regular duel.
I was in the arena, and Maya came up after me. I don't know anything about Maya since she isn't in the show, but I can still beat her.
"I'll go first," I said, "Draw!"
Dawn 4000; Maya 4000
"First, I play the field spell Volcanic Desert!" The field turned into a type of wasteland with volcanoes and fire. "Next, I summon Flare Lion Cub(Lv 1: ATK 200 DEF 100) in attack mode!"
Flare Lion Cub was a little tan lion cub with little streaks of orange. It was surrounded by a few flames. "Now, thanks to her special ability, I can summon Flare Phoenix(Lv 2 ATK 1800 DEF 0)!"
Flare Phoenix is a phoenix made completely of flames. "Now these two separate beings will become one! Magic in the morning is the greatest of all! I Synchro Summon Sunrise Magician!"
Sunrise Magician(Lv 5: ATK 2300 DEF 1200) is a older man with white hair and dark grey robes. In the middle of his robes, there is a bright orange sun sign.
"Are you done yet?" muttered Maya.
"Not even close!" I said, "You see, magicians always have an apprentice, so I thought it would be a shame if Sunrise Magician didn't have his. So, thanks to his special ability, I can summon Sunrise Apprentice(Lv 4: ATK 1800 DEF 900) in attack mode!"
Sunrise Apprentice is a young man with bright fiery orange hair, and the same robes as Sunrise Magician. He has the same sun sign on his right cheek that Sunrise Magician has on his robes.
"Oh, and the field spell Sunrise Beach gives all my Sunrise monsters get an additional 200 attack points. Plus, I get 300 more life points at the end of each turn."
Sunrise Magician - Lv 5: ATK 2500 DEF 1200; Sunrise Apprentice - Lv 4: ATK 2000 DEF 900
Next I place one card facedown and end my turn," I said, "I don't want to beat you just yet." The card I put down was Exploding Flames.
Dawn 4300; Maya 4000
"Wow!" said the MC, "Dawn summoned a Synchro monster, a regular monster, place a field spell, and get extra life points all in one turn!"
"It's my turn now Satellite," said Maya, "I draw! I call Merman Warrior(Lv 4: ATK 1800 DEF 1500) to battle!"
Merman Warrior was a merman with scaly armor and a sword. "Now thanks to his ability, I can summon the monsters needed to Synchro summon! I summon Ocean Spirit!"
Ocean Spirit(Lv 1: ATK 100 DEF 100) was something that looked like a blue fish. It glowed blue and had some white stripes on it.
"Now I tune Ocean Spirit and Merman Warrior! Come forth! Sea Angel!"
Sea Angel(Lv 5: ATK 1200 DEF 0) was an angel with tan skin, white wings, and a flowing sea green dress. She has blue hair and a spear.
"I'll put one card facedown and end my turn."
Dawn 4600; Maya 4000
"Alright then," I said smiling, "Draw! And I'm gonna have Sunrise Apprentice attack your Sea Angel!"
"Not so fast!" said Maya, "I activate my facedown, Calm Waters! This lets me stop your attack and end the battle phase!"
"Fine then," I said, "I end my turn."
Dawn 4900; Maya 4000
"I draw!" said Maya, "And I summon Koi of Life in defense mode!"
Koi of Life(Lv 2: ATK 700 DEF 1000) is one koi fish and is white with blue spots. "Now I can tune Koi of life and Sea Angel to summon Poseidon King of the Ocean!"
Poseidon King of the Ocean(Lv 7: ATK 2500 DEF 1500) was a man holding a trident. He had scaly armor and raven black hair.
"Because I used Koi of Life to Synchro summon, I get 200 life points," said Maya, "Now Poseidon King of the Ocean, attack Sunrise Apprentice!"
Sunrise Apprentice was destroyed, and I couldn't bring him back. I'm sorry Sunrise Apprentice, I thought
Dawn 4700; Maya 4200
"The first blow has been dealt," said the MC, "But Dawn has 4700 life points now! Will Maya be able to defeat her?"
"Draw!" I said, "I activate the spell Synchro Blast Wave! As long as I have a Synchro monster on my field, I can destroy one of your monsters! And I choose to destroy Poseidon King of the Oceans!"
Poseidon King of the Oceans was destroyed, and now Maya had no monsters on the field, while I had two. "I now summon Sunrise Wisp(Lv 4: ATK 900 DEF 300) in attack mode!"
Sunrise Wisp is a monster with a little flame wisp as a head, and a small little body made of flames. "And thanks to her ability, I can special summon the monsters needed for a Synchro summon from my deck or graveyard. So come on out! Flare Sorceress! Flare Sorceress(Lv 3: ATK 0 DEF 100) tune with Sunrise Wisp! The ruler within the sun come forth! I Synchro Summon Sunrise Prince!"
Sunrise Prince(Lv 7: ATK 2500 DEF 1500) is a man with longish red-orange hair and bright red eyes. He wears the clothes of royalty.
"Now Sunrise Prince can attack you directly! Go! Royal Morning Attack!"
Dawn 4700; Maya 1700
"And now Sunrise Magician can attack! Morning Burst!"
Maya was hit with Sunrise Magician's attack, and it got rid of the rest of her life points.
Dawn 4700; Maya 0
"Look at that," I said, "A Satellite beat the city girl."
"Dawn Yumeni has beaten Maya Tachibana!"
The crowd started booing me. They kept saying that I cheated somehow to win. My fists were shaking, and they almost lit on fire. Maya smirked.
"You may have won, but you'll never win over the crowd as long as you have that marker on you."
I glared at her, and then walked off.
As I walked back to the waiting area, Evan walked past me. We each have each other a high five.
"Good luck."
"Thanks. Congrats on your win."
"You'd better do the same! Or you're gonna have to answer to me!"
"Fine, fine. I will."
"Good."
I got the waiting area, and Yusei was there waiting for me. "Congrats," said Yusei, "I didn't know you had a field spell like that."
"Thanks," I said, "And I have another field spell like that. Plus my deck's one of a kind, so you won't be seeing anyone else with it."
"Wow," said Yusei. The duel between Evan and Ryker was about to start. Ryker was at the arena, but Evan wasn't.
"Well," said the MC slowly, "If Evan doesn't make it to the arena in five minutes, he will have to be disqualified."
"What happened?" I asked.
"What do you mean?" asked Yusei.
"I just saw Evan as he was walking to his next duel. He said that he was gonna win! I don't think he would just disappear like that!"
"Then there's something fishy going on," said Yusei.
"And we need to fix it," I said. Evan, where are you?
