Chapter 31: Seth – Anniversary

I can hardly believe a year has almost passed, since May went 'flying' for the first time. Our relationship was going well, I love her so damn much. My talk with Esme had been a good one. I threw myself wholeheartedly in showing May my feelings. To make every moment count. With the Volturi gunning for us again, I realised once more that life could be short. Even for immortal, never ageing creatures like us.
May knew what I was doing and decided to give the same back to me. Boundaries were being pushed. We became more passionate together. Now and then she opened her mouth and let our tongues meet. That turned me on a lot. Her too, I started to recognize the change in her scent. Still it stopped at touching, caressing and more skin-contact.
Though it frustrated me sometimes, I understood. And we had a lot of other things on our mind. The move of the Cullens to Seattle for example. Yes, I know they considered me part of the family, that still didn't make it easy for me to just go with them. Luckily they took their time. And my girl would be the last to leave the old house. Hmm, thinking about her like that, my girl, I felt like an adult, almost. 17 years old, sounds so good.
How weird, I was comparing myself to Edward and Bella again. And our situation being the reverse, kind of. Because Bella never liked becoming physically older than Edward. Me, I was happy to be getting closer to May's set age of 18. Like she was somehow waiting for me. Faith, I was convinced it existed.
We started training with the Amazone coven, which was interesting. Zafrina blocked our sight and had us depend more on our other senses. For me, having the best hearing, I focused on that automatically. Blocking a vampire-attack was harder, still we got better. In Sam's pack they discovered that Zack had the best nose. When he concentrated, he noticed things May did too. Gave him an ego-boost.
Another thing we tried, or our alpha's did, was to let everyone in on a conversation they had between them mentally. Not so easy as we hoped. The amount of focus needed took a lot of energy. Gave them a headache sometimes also. May wanted to help, but other than giving some suggestions, didn't know how. She'd need her body to fight effectively.
Yeah, training, we had to work out something with that too. I didn't like seeing May being attacked. And I certainly wouldn't do it, just like Edward and Emmet, they didn't like fighting their partners either. Thinking about them brought up a memory and a grin. A few days back, May and I were walking home from practise. Holding hands and chatting about the day.
Suddenly she let go, whirled around and vanished. A loud crash was followed by her growl. Then, Emmet's voice; "Ow, May, you didn't have to hit me that hard." I was just fooling around." Show you to always be prepared for an attack." I tracked them down and found my girl shooting daggers at her brother, fists raised. Her lips were moving fast, too fast for me to hear what she was saying, but I think she cursing. Emmet got up, hands out in defence before sulking off.
May relaxed and turned to face me. I gave her a questioning look. She sighed. "I guess I don't like anyone attacking you either," she said. We smiled and hugged each other. From that moment on we avoided watching one another train or worked together on the same team.
All in all our time was packed with duties. For me it was school, patrolling and training mostly. Besides eating and sleeping, I tried to spend the rest of the days with my love. 11-5 past without much notice. The day my view of her changed. But Friday the 15th rolled around and I was glad to get out of class a little early. My phone buzzed in my pocket. I took it out and saw a message from my girl. 'Meet me at the cave as soon as you can' it said.
That made me very curious, so I hurried to the tree line to phase. I reached our spot first, changed back and waited. A few minutes later she came running towards me. With a bright smile she tackled me to the ground. And she gave me no time to recover from my surprise. Her mouth crashed onto mine as she kissed me hungrily. In my lap she wrapped her arms around my neck. Mine went around her waist.
She parted her lips and let my tongue explore her mouth for the first time.
We broke apart just in time, I was out of air. Leaning back a bit we studied each other face. May was beaming, a gleam in her eye. "Wow, what was that about?" I managed to ask. She grinned and bit her lower lip. "Today's the day," she said softly. I gave her a puzzling look. May smiled wider, lowered her head and started kissing my jaw and neck. I loved that, it turned me on.
And the answer popped up in my head; she was no longer venomous, we were free to do what we wanted. She realised I knew now, my body must have given me away. My heart was beating faster and my temperature was going up. Getting off my lap, she hauled me to my feet.
I gazed into her eyes and pulled her flush against my body. "I love you, I said, so much." Cupping her face, I showed her how exited I was by kissing her passionately. She moaned and grabbed my ass. This caused me to moan too.
We stopped, breathing heavily. Next we rushed into the cave, closing off the entrance behind us. The soft light illuminated her skin beautifully and the small space intensified the scent of her arousal. Holding each other a moment gave us time to think about what to say. And what to do, because I wasn't sure, this was so new. My hands moved under her tank-top, caressing the smooth skin on her back.
May's hands did the same to my bare shoulders. "I love you so much too, she said, and I'm so happy that I don't have to worry about poisoning you anymore." Sighing she put her head on my chest. "Today, dad got the last test-results, she continued, he was surprised it vanished so fast already." We had some ideas why that was, but didn't really care. "I'm happy too, I responded, I've been aching to be intimate with you for a long time."
May lifted her head and kissed me gently. "Same here, she replied, I've fantasized about this a lot." Our desire was reflected in both our eyes.

"So, what do we do now?" I asked. "What do you want?" She smiled and took a step back, out of my embrace. "The same you want, she whispered in answer, you take the lead." I was surprised; "Really?" She nodded and licked her lips seductively. My lower half reacted instantly. "Let's take away these clothes," I suggested, unbuttoning my shorts. Where this confidence came from I didn't know.
She slowly lifted her top over her head, revealing her naked breasts. I gasped; no bra! Well, I could match that, dropping my only clothing to the floor. Her eyes widened and sparkled as she too had discarded her pants. No panties either! We stood silently for a time, just admiring each others body.
Moving towards one another again, our hands started to explore. It was so intense and hard to describe. I kissed her jaw and sucked on her neck. "I feel so alive," she panted, throwing her head back. We laid down on the floor, on a soft rug. Not sure when that got here.
She was on her back, I was on my side. Leaning over I kissed her left breast and sucked on the nipple. A soft moan was my reward. I continued kissing, massaging and sucking, moving from the left to the right one. May's hands went into my hair, rubbing in circles, sometimes tugging on the short strands. After a while I looked up to her face. "Come here," she whispered, opening her arms. I rolled over on top of her.
So much skin touching, the way our bodies reacted, it was almost too much! I stroked her cheek and felt nervous. "How…, I …, " I stuttered. Arriving at this moment, I suddenly wondered; were we even able to make love normally? She smiled and massaged my butt, making me hard.
"Don't worry, she said, you can go on, you won't hurt me." My body works in a similar way as a human one." She took one of my hands and moved it between us, between her legs. My breath hitched as I felt how wet she was.
A bit shocked I stared at her. "But what about…, you know…," I asked huskily. "Oh, that, she replied calmly, that's long gone." My mouth opened in surprise, but no words came out. Wasn't she a virgin? She put a finger on my lips. "It was a flimsy thing, she added smiling, 'buddy blue' took care of that quickly." Huh? I felt really stupid, not understanding what she was saying. She saw that and kissed me deeply, bringing me back to reality.
"Don't you think I know my own body?" she asked. "I've used things, toys." You don't have to have sex for it to break or tear, you know." Now I blushed furiously. I felt like a kid. She giggled. And moved her legs apart. I was laying so close now. Air, breathe! She started kissing me again and stroked by back gently.
"Don't be embarrassed, she whispered in my ear, lots of people don't know." I got back in the moment and touched her everywhere.
Nothing was stopping us. She helped me to slide in easily, moving her hips. It felt good, warmer than I expected. We didn't think anymore, just acted, reacted. I couldn't compare this experience to anything. It was mind-blowing, amazing, wonderful. We lost track of time, making love several times. All that mattered was our bodies moving together in unison. Our breath mingling, and our scent filling the cave. We fell over the edge so many times.
I was exhausted in the end, panting on my back next to her. She propped herself up on her elbow to look at me. "Thank you, she said, you were amazing." I put my hand on her cheek. "You too, I replied, wow, that's all I can say." We smiled contently at each other. "You know, she added after some silence, I really like my body now, it's much more sensitive than my original one." Surprised I pressed my lips on hers and nibbled on her lower lip.
"Really?" I questioned. May nodded. "Not to say it wouldn't be as good," she continued suddenly. "Oh, it doesn't matter, forget it," she sighed. I rolled onto my side too and pulled her to me by the waist. "Don't be sad, I told her, I agree, all that matters is you and me, here and now." She beamed a smile at me. We kissed again, slow and gentle.
"How did I land such a wonderful and sexy boyfriend?" she chided. I grinned wide. "The same way I got my beautiful and hot girlfriend." We cuddled for a while before deciding to go home. It was almost dark outside. Checking if we were alone, we ran with our clothes in our hands to a stream nearby. We dived into the water, skinny-dipping.
Refreshed and feeling on top of the world we made our way back to the house. Stopping several times to make out some more. Any threat seemed far away. We were so happy. Not even Emmet's funny face and suggestive remarks could ruin our mood.

The next few weeks we went to cave often. May felt she couldn't use it for meditation anymore. "I can't concentrate on anything but us here anymore," she complained with a smile. Finding another place wasn't easy. Still we managed to discover an alcove of sorts, on top of a mountain. It wasn't very deep and could barely hold two people. She deemed it good enough though.
No human would be able to reach it and it was quite peaceful. When we stood there, watching the scenery below, she realised she hadn't meditated in a while. I asked her if she missed it. She shrugged; 'not really'. So no big deal. She didn't feel the need. I phased and we raced through the forest just for fun. Yeah, we would enjoy each other as much as possible.
Two weeks until the summer vacation we had the big house to ourselves. Strange, to be in that half empty mansion, just the two of us. Fourteen days we lived on our own pretty much. I liked it, even if the rooms sounded hollow at times. In the end we arranged a party for everyone still here. We let go completely. All adult humans got drunk. It was hilarious to watch.
Charlie and Billy tried to sing and dance, but failed miserably. Old Quil giggled like a girl, telling stories about many of the parents' youth. Junior shook his head in disbelief. My mum surprised me too, I've never seen her like this. Even Lee gaped at her actions.
She banged on Edward's piano, shared some sloppy kisses with Charlie and dragged a mattress to the top of the stairs to glide down. Of course we put a stop to that. At two a.m. we dragged most of them to a car and drove them home. A few stayed passed out on the couch, snoring and drooling.
We got to be normal for once. Next day we slept in and cleaned up. After checking every window and door, we let down the heavy shutters. Such a final thing. Weird that we wouldn't come back here soon. May's cars were left for the drive to Seattle.
I took the 'Wolf' Mustang, May the 'Tiger' Camaro. Dry weather made the ride nice. Allowed us to open the windows and let the wind blow through our hair. Radio on the same station, volume up high. We laughed and hollered, momentarily being care-free teenagers. The time to become serious again would come soon enough. YOLO! We understood living in the moment.
