MysticFangs: Welcome back!

Dawn: When are you going to update in a consistent pattern?

MysticFangs: ...

Dawn: What?

MysticFangs: *swestdrop* hehe I don't know.

Evan: Are you serious?

MysticFangs: Yup! :)

Dawn and Evan: *sigh*

MysticFangs: Anyway, the disclaimer is the same! Hope you enjoy this chapter!

It was finally time for Yusei and Jack's duel. I was sitting with Luna, Leo, Dexter, Yanagi, Tanner, and Evan. A little after the duel with Akiza ended, Evan got up.

"Where are you going?" I asked.

"Somewhere," he said. A tick mark appeared on my head.

"Don't be all cryptic like that!" I exclaimed, "Where are you going?!"

"I don't have to answer to you Dawn!" Evan said angrily, "I can do what I want, when I want. You don't have to know everything about me!"

I just stared at Evan with wide eyes. Why...why did he freak out like that? I thought.

"I'm...I'm sorry," I said softly. Evan huffed and left the row where we were sitting. I just kept looking at the direction he had left. I looked down. "Why would that bother him so much?" I muttered.

"Wait," I thought aloud, "Does it have something to do with what Sayer said?"

"Hey Dawn?" asked Luna, "Are you okay?"

Without wanting to, I ignored her question and got up. I got up, and followed in the direction that Evan was headed. I ran around the hallways looking for Evan. I had a feeling that he was going to find Akiza, but, that's not gonna happen. Right?

What if he joins the Arcadia Movement?! I thought, He does want to get close to Akiza after all.

I stopped running. Does he really want to help Akiza that badly? So much that he would join the Arcadia Movement, that he knows is bad?

My fists started shaking, and after a good minute of standing there, I started running again. I held on to the ice necklace he gave me, and I somehow knew the way to where he was. Little did I know, my mark was glowing as I was running.

I lost track of the amount of corridors and hallways I ran down. I went toward the field, and caught a glimpse of Jack and Yusei's duel. Jack was getting ready to summon his Red Dragon Archfiend, and Yusei had Junk Warrior out. I quickly stopped myself from getting too distracted, and kept running after Evan.

Good luck Yusei, I thought, I know you'll win.

I saw a familiar raven haired boy turn the corner in front of me. I smirked. You're not getting away from me now Evan!

I silently followed after Evan, and I stayed a few steps behind him. he turned another corner, and I saw him head toward some Arcadia Movement duelists.

Is that where Akiza is? I wondered. Evan walked in, and I was about to turn the corner after him, but I collapsed because of the pain in my Signer Mark. A light surrounded me, and I had to close my eyes because of how bright it was. When I opened my eyes again, I was standing in front of a dragon.

The dragon was dark blue with areas of pink, orange, light purple, white, red, light blue, and then some small spots of black on the orange and red areas. It basically looked like, well, the universe. I looked to my left, and Evan was there with me.

"Who are you!" yelled Evan.

"I am the Universal Dragon."

"Why are you here?" I asked.

"I must tell about the future," answered the dragon. Evan and I looked at each other, and then back at the Universal Dragon.

"What about the future?" asked Evan.

"You must both do your best not to fall into the clutches of the Dark Signers, as you already know. If one of you were to become a Dark Signer, it would be catastrophic."

"We know not to do that," I said, "So why are you telling us this?"

"Dawn, Evan. I know you two have seen the course of these events many times, and that is the most important reason why you must not join forces with them. But I have seen the future, and although I give you this warning, one of you will turn."

"What do you mean?!" I yelled, "There's no way that one of us would turn!"

"You said the same thing when you were confronted by Sayer," said Universal Dragon, "But you were wrong about that."

I looked over at Evan, and then I turned away. "So you did join them," I said slowly. Evan didn't answer. I looked up at the sky.

"You know you could have told me," I said. Evan was about to say something, but I looked back to the Universal Dragon.

"How to we prevent this?" I asked. The Universal Dragon shook her head.

"I cannot tell you that, no matter how much I want to," answered Universal Dragon.

"Why not?!" yelled Evan in frustration.

"You two must overcome your futures on your own," said the dragon, "And that prevents me from revealing the events to you."

"But-"

"No buts Evan. The only thing I can give you is advice."

"If you can only give us advice, then what if I ask you a question?" I asked.

"What do you need Dawn?" asked the Universal Dragon. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. I looked up at the Universal Dragon.

"What about our world? Is everyone okay? Does time run the same?" I asked. Then, in a softer voice, I said, "Did they all forget about us?"

"Dawn," said the Universal Dragon, "Your parents are fine. They have not noticed that you are not there, but they are ending their trip and will be coming back soon. And Evan, the children you take care of are wondering where you are. Sadly, they think you have abandoned them."

"Then we have to finish this arc immediately!" yelled Evan.

"No."

"What do you mean no?! Those little dorks think I abandoned them! I won't stand for it!"

"I have a way to communicate with them for you Evan. So you do not need to worry."

Evan and I waited for the Universal Dragon to say something else.

"I will let you get back to the Signers now," said Universal Dragon, "Find a way to overcome your fate and not fall to the Dark Signers."

There was another bright light, and I found myself back where I was before the vision with the Universal Dragon. I got up off of the ground, and stood there for a little bit to take in everything that had happened.

Evan joined the Arcadia Movement, one of us is going to eventually turn into a Dark Signer, time runs the same, and they might have noticed that we're gone, I thought.

I sighed, and decided to try and follow Evan inside the area where the Arcadia Movement's duelists were. They spread their arms out, and blocked me with their duel disks. I growled and stepped back.

"What the heck?!" I said.

"You aren't allowed in here," said the first duelist.

"Why not?"

"Not until you agree or consider being part of the Arcadia Movement," said the second duelist. I glared at the duelists, and tried to push my way through. They pushed me back. My glare intensified, and then I decided to walk away.

As I got closer to the stadium, I heard the crowd cheering Yusei's name. I got in a better mood immediately. Yes! I silently cheered, He won! Yusei beat Jack!

I ran to the stadium and toward Yusei. "Congrats Yusei!" I yelled, "You won and got your Stardust Dragon back!"

Yusei smiled, and then people in the crowd started yelling that he was cheating.

"You're just a kid with a marker!"

"We'll never accept a Satellite as our King!"

"You're just another Satellite who cheated!"

I reached Yusei and hugged him. "Good job Yuse," I said smiling, "You're the new Duel King!"

Yusei gave me a small smile in return.

"Yusei!" yelled Tanner as he, Yanagi, Leo, Luna, and Dexter ran toward us. Tanner was pushing Yusei's duel runner, and Yannagi, Leo, Luna, and Dexter were pushing my duel runner.

"We've gotta get out of here," said Tanner.

"Why?" asked Yusei. I turned around, and pointed to all of the reporters behind us. My eyes widened and I took a step back.

"Because of them!" I yelled. All the reporters were trying to push through the the fence. There were probably more than 50 reporters present. I took my duel runner from Yanagi, Leo, Luna, and Dexter, while Tanner kept pushing Yusei's duel runner. We managed to get away from the reporters, and went underground through a tunnel.

I still pushing my duel runner, and Tanner was still pushing Yusei's.

"Yusei," said Luna, "I saw what happened in your duel with Jack. Inside the light, I mean. Is that really going to happen to the Satellite?"

"I don't know," said Yusei in reply. I looked away.

If things play out the same, I thought, Then that won't happen. But now that Evan and I are thrown into the mix, will the outcome change?

I felt someone tugging at my jacket. I looked down, and saw that it was Leo.

"What's up Leo?" I asked.

"Are you okay?" he asked. I nodded.

"I'm fine Leo," I said. I tried my best to give him a genuine smile, but I could immediately tell that it wasn't convincing.

Yanagi looked around. "Where's Evan?" he asked. My eye twitched. They had just realized he was missing?! And why hadn't they brought his duel runner along?!

"He said he was going to meet up with us..." said Tanner.

"He...had to stay behind," I said, "But it's no big deal."

"But Dawn," started Yusei.

"It's no big deal!" I shouted. I let my bangs covered my eyes as hot tears streamed down my cheeks. I kept pushing my duel runner.

"If Evan wanted to stay with them, then there's no reason I should have stopped him," I said, "So let's just drop the subject."

No one was saying anything. I looked in front of me, and saw that I had burned some of my duel runner off. I stopped walking, and stared at my duel runner in shock. I looked down at my hands, and saw that I had burned through my gloves as well. I signed, took off my gloves, and burned the rest of it. As for my duel runner, I looked down.

"Death by flames. Rest In Peace duel runner."

I stepped away from the duel runner, and stuffed my hands in my pockets.

"Whatever," I muttered, "I can just build a new one."

I looked back at he rest of the group, and all of them but Yusei were staring at me in shock.

"D-Dawn..." said Leo, "Y-you're a pychic d-duelist?!"

"Hm? Oh yeah, I guess you guys have never seen me do that huh..." I said, "But yeah, I can do that."

Yanagi's eyes sparkled, Tanner still looked surprised, and Luna stepped further away from me. Leo still looked the same, if anything, he looked like he was even more impressed by me.

"Where are you going to get all of the other supplies?" asked Yusei. I shrugged.

"I'll figure it out," I said. I then looked up and muttered to myself, "It shouldn't be too hard, since Yusei's gonna go back to the Satelite...But that's when he battles Kalin, isn't it? I'll just have to find the parts before then."

"What did you say Dawn?" asked Yusei.

"Oh nothing," I said, "Don't worry about it."

Yusei looked like he wasn't convinced. Leo, on the other hand, looked very excited.

"Dawn! Can you do that again?!"

"You mean, make fire?" I asked. Leo nodded, and I made a flame appear. It was floating above my hand. Leo looked like he was so impressed by it.

"That's amazing Dawn!" he said in awe. I smirked.

"Why thank you Leo."

We kept walking, and reached the exit of the tunnel. We all walked toward Blister's hangout, where Yusei, Evan, and I all got our fake IDs to get our duel runners back. Once we were all there, I started looking around to see if there were any spare parts while they were all talking about the Signers. I really wanted to build my new duel runner, and fast. I found a few pieces, but nothing I could really salvage. Fire danced across the tips of my fingers. I looked down, and then thought that maybe I could save something from my wrecked duel runner.

"Luna!" cried out Leo. That caused me to look over at them. Luna had collapsed.

"Luna, what's wrong?" said Leo.

"I'm fine. I'm just a little tired," she said.

"It's ok," said Tanner, "There's been a lot of stuff going on in the past few days."

And it's only going to get worse, I thought, Not that they know anything about that.

I stayed with everyone, until they all started going to sleep. I left quickly, before Yusei could notice. I knew he was going to have to have his duel before anything else.

I ran to the tunnel we left the Fortune Cup from, where I left my destroyed duel runner. I looked at it, walked around it, trying to find pieces that I could salvage. Once I got everything, I carried it back to where everyone else was. I put all of the parts together, and I decided that there was enough to try and build a new duel runner. Well, at least my attempt at one. While I was working, my mark started glowing. It caused me to wince.

"Jeez this really hurts," I muttered, "Yusei's probably dueling now."

By the time I had gotten back with all the parts for my duel runner, Yusei had already left for his duel. I ignored the pain in my arm, and kept working.

My new duel runner had the form of a sport motorcycle, it was black and it had bright red flames on the side. Rebuilding it took me such a long time, it was almost morning already! I stepped back and admired my handiwork. It was pretty convenient finding everything, but I'm not gonna think about that too much.

I went out again, deciding to update my clothes again since my gloves were burnt and all. I went into a few stores, and I ended up finding a good combination after about an hour. I wore a red jacket over a white tank top, black pants with one red stripe going down on each side, black boots, and black fingerless gloves. After I had changed clothes, I walked back to the hideout. When I got there, everyone was staring at my duel runner.

"Dawn," said Yusei, "How did you do this so quickly?"

"Um, I went back and got my old duel runner, salvaged some parts, and this was the result."

They all still looked dumbfounded, and it made me laugh. "Anyway," said Tanner, "Where have you two been all morning?"

I gestured to my duel runner and my outfit, and Yusei said, "I was dueling against a man who had a mark on his arm."

"What is the fifth Signer?!" asked Tanner as he got up out of his chair.

"No. He said he was something called a Dark Signer."

"Dark Signer?"

"They're probably the real enemy we're supposed to be fighting," I said, "If they call themselves Dark Signers or whatever."

Later in the day, Yusei was trying to find information to contact Blister. He must really be worried about all of them, I thought, Though, I would be too. While Yusei was doing that, I was practicing using my fire. It was actually getting easier to do more things with it. I made it dance across the tips of my fingers, as well as make it appear in different parts of the room, scaring the hell out of everyone too. It always made me grin to myself.

"Have you been able to contact Blister?" asked Yanagi. Yusei got up.

"I've been thinking about going back to Satellite. What that guy said worries me."

I looked at Yusei, and got up myself. "I'm going with you."

"Go back?" asked Yanagi.

"About Satellite being destroyed?" said Tanner. Yusei nodded.

"You're leaving?"

We all turned to see Leo and Luna in the doorway. "You're going home to the Satellite?" asked Luna.

"Yusei...Dawn..." said Leo. They both looked kind of disappointed. I felt bad for them.

"There's something I need to investigate," said Yusei.

"But isn't Satellite really dangerous?" asked Leo. I nodded.

"Don't worry; we'll be fine," I said.

"If it's really dangerous, don't go! You can stay in the city with us!" said Leo.

"Yusei, you're the one that said the Signers should stick together!" said Luna. Yusei walked over to the twins and knelt down in front of them.

"Since we're all Signers, we will meet again," he said. I gave the two a thumbs up and smiled.

"So don't worry! Plus, we're connected by our marks. That means that no matter what, we're still all together."

"Yusei..."

"Dawn..."

We heard the sirens of Sector Security and we all looked out the window in disbelief.

"Can you hear me Satellite trash?" said Officer Trudge, "There's no safe place for you in the city! I'm coming right now, so prepare yourself!"

I poked my head out the window and looked down at Trudge. "Hey cop-head! Long time no see! Could you really not stay away from us so long? I might have to get you a restraining order!"

"Why you little!"

"Why does it have to be now," muttered Tanner.

"It's actually perfect timing," said Yusei. We all looked at him in shock. I smirked, understanding what he meant. We both walked down to meet Trudge. He looked surprised to see us coming. It might have been because we came down willingly, but it also could be because Evan was not with us.

"We also need to speak with Goodwin," said Yusei.

We walked to where Goodwin was. He looked back to me and Yusei.

"I must ask you two a question. Why do you ride your duel runners."

"I'm not required to answer to you," said Yusei.

"Wouldn't you like to know," I said grinning. Goodwin looked back out to the sea. "It's time I told you two everything. Yusei put his hand where his mark was.

"Are you going to be telling us the truth?" He then pulled up his sleeve to reveal his mark.

"That's right. The legend of the Crimson Dragon is five thousand years old."

"You're expecting us to believe that?" asked Yusei.

"Are there some occult sign up papers with this too?" I asked. Goodwin sighed.

"Many unbelievable destinies exist in this world. You met duelists with strange powers, didn't you? The Dark Signers, Evan and Dawn as well."

"You know about the Dark Signers?! The man with the spider mark?!"

"Wait, you know about me and Evan too?!"

"They are the enemies of the Signers. Since the beginning of time, the Signers and the Dark Signers have been destined to battle every five thousand years. After the last battle five thousand years ago, their evil souls have finally resurrected yet again. When the gates to the Underworld open, the Signers and the Dark Signers will battle with the world's fate a stake."

"The world?" exclaimed Yusei. Goodwin nodded.

"In the battle five thousand years ago, the People of the Stars used the power of the five dragons that served the Crimson Dragon to seal the evil god in the land of Nazca and close the gate to the underworld. Afterwards, the Crimson Dragon was separated into five pieces and sealed away in the human world. Yusei's mark is one of those seals, and the mark not he Dark Signer's arm was part of the Nazca lines."

"Wait, hold up," I said, "You said there were five dragons, but what about mine dragon and Evan's dragon? What about the Solar and Lunar Signers?"

"There isn't much known about the Solar and Lunar Signers. They have always been unstable, and can never be trusted; they make the battle for the Signers much harder. But nonetheless, the both the Solar Signer and the Lunar Signer need to be present for the battle to take place. For either side to win, both you and Evan must be on the same side."

I looked at him in surprise. But what about what the Universal Dragon said? I thought, One of us is destined to join the Dark Signers.

"Why is the battle between the Signers and Dark Signers happening again now?"

"You know about Moment that's located underground below Kaiba Corporation. It's a dream machine that continually creates positive energy. But long before its creation, the first version of Moment was in the deepest area under Satellite. Seventeen years ago, the Moment Investigation and Development Section, also known as MIDS, turned on the first version of Moment when its control system was still incomplete. They did so because they believed the City's prosperity was more important. Then a tragedy occurred. Moment was supposed to have positive spin, but it began having negative spin. At the same time, Nazca emitted incredible energy. It emitted the same amount of energy as Moment. When the Dark Signers appear, the gates to the underworld will also open. After five thousand years, the seal on the Dark Signers has weakened. The old Moment began reacting with the gates to the underworld. I confirmed that the five thousand year-old battle was going to take place here once again. In order to close the gates to the underworld, the Dark Signers must be defeated because they are the ones guarding the gates. That's why I created the Fortune Cup. It was all to awaken the power of the Signers."

"What happens if we lose the battle against the Dark Signers?" asked Yusei.

"The world will change. It will be a world of the afterlife. It's a world we know as Hell."

"So if we lose, we're all done for?" I asked. Goodwin nodded.

"That's the vision I saw," said Yusei, "If the battle is going to take place at Satellite, then evacuate the citizens immediately!"

"I can't do that," said Goodwin.

"Why not?!" I exclaimed. I felt the area around my hands get hot, and I tried to calm myself down before I exploded.

"If no one is in Satellite, the site of the battle will be changed to the city in order to find new sacrifices. That will get even more people involved."

"You're willing to just sacrifice people like that?" I asked.

"You knew about that and still created Satellite?" asked Yusei, "You don't care if the citizens of Satellite are sacrificed!"

"Don't you know how horrible they think they're lives are already?!" I said.

"Do you want to save Satellite? Then stop the Dark Signers! Stop them with the power of the Signers!"

"With our power?" I asked.

"Wait!" said Yusei, "You said there were five Signers. There's one person missing!"

"I guarantee that the person will eventually show up. I guarantee it."

"That's because it's you," I muttered. Yusei didn't hear, but Goodwin certainly did. He looked at me skeptically. Oh wouldn't he like to know what I do.

A helicopter emerged from under the bridge we were standing on. My duel runner, as well as Yusei's, was inside.

"That's destiny!" said Goodwin.

Yusei and I got in and mounted our duel runners. I looked down. I knew what was going to happen, but being a part of it was actually pretty nerve-wracking. I mean, of course the good guys win, but this is really a battle of life and death.

"Everything will be okay," said Yusei, snapping me out of my thoughts. I looked over at him and smiled.

"You know, I never thought I would be doing this," I said, "Jumping out of a helicopter, I mean."

Yusei just smirked. It was time for us to drop down into the Satellite. Yusei went down first, then I dropped down into the Satellite. It took all I had not to scream. I landed on the ground and braked. I ended up just a little bit behind Yusei. He was looking up, and I followed his gaze. Yusei was looking at none other than Crow. He was sitting in his duel runner on a big pile of junk. I tried to keep myself from grinning but I really couldn't. I just couldn't believe it! It was Crow Hogan!

We all got off of our duel runners. Crow and Yusei faced each other, while I leaned on my duel runner. Crow slid down from the pile of junk, and started walking toward Yusei like he was going to punch him, and Yusei did the same thing. Once they were close enough, they grabbed the other's hand, and did their special little handshake.

"Yusei!"

"Crow!"

They both started laughing and pat each other on the shoulder. "It's been a long time," said Yusei.

"You came back!" said Crow. Then he looked at me, "And with a friend."

I waved. "I'm Dawn. Pleased to meet you Crow."

He smirked. "Likewise." Then he looked back at Yusei. "I came here because I saw a helicopter, but I didn't know you two were on it! And you also have a Marker!"

"Yeah. You finally completed your duel runner."

"Yeah! It's very cool! With this, I'm going to beat you and Jack!"

"We'll see about that," said Yusei. Then they both laughed. We all got on our duel runners, and started driving through Satellite. Crow looked at Yusei.

"It feels great to ride with you for the first time in a long time!"

"Same here."

Once we were at a certain area, we all got off of our duel runners. Yusei told Crow about what had happened thus far.

"I see," said Crow, "You're caught in a horrible situation."

"I want to make sure that Rally is safe."

"All right, let's go to your hideout," said Crow. I looked out to the part of Satellite that we were in.

"Hey, aren't there supposed to be more people here?" I asked.

"This mysterious group recently arrived. Look."

Right as Crow said that a big group of people that could certainly pass as occultists walked by. They were saying stuff about keeping the Satellite safe, and how the Crimson Dragon was evil.

"It's rumored that they trick people with their shady lectures and gather them deep within Satellite."

"Deep within Satellite?"

"Even Satellite is getting weird, Yusei."

"They could be with the Dark Signers," I whispered to Yusei. He looked at me and nodded. Crow raised an eyebrow. "What are you two talking about? When and where to go make out?"

Both Yusei and I blushed. I waved my hands in front of my face. "N-no! It wasn't that! It was nothing."

Crow smirked and then snickered. "Whatever you say."

We rode our duel runners to Yusei's hideout. I smiled as soon as I saw them all. We parked our duel runners, and got off.

"It's Yusei!"

"And Dawn! They're back!"

"What?"

"Yusei and Dawn?"

"I'm happy that everyone's safe," said Yusei.

"Sup guys?" I said smirking. Rally ran up and hugged Yusei. "Yusei! I knew that you guys would come home!"

"Sorry to keep you waiting, Rally."

I walked up and patted Blister on the shoulder. "Thanks Blister."

"It's fine."

"Hey," said Crow, "Isn't it about time you let me into this group? I'm feelin' kind of left out."

"Crow!" the rest of them exclaimed.

"I'm shocked!" said Nervin, "That was you?"

"Yusei isn't the only Turbo Duelist in Satellite."

"We found you Crow!"

Everyone looked up. "This is Security! Come out nice and quiet!"

"It seems we brought some unexpected guests," said Crow sheepishly. A bomb that released tear gas was thrown down.

"This is bad! It's tear gas!"

"Leave it to me," said Crow, "Let's meet at Daedalus Bridge. My hideout it there."

We all nodded. "Hey Yuse," I said, "You and Crow go that way, and I'll go the opposite. We'll distract Security, so everyone else can get there safely."

They both nodded. "Crow, come out nice and quiet! You can't escape!"

By this time, Crow, Yusei, and I had all revved up our duel runners and left out separate ways. I went with Yusei and Crow, and then when we were in front of the Sector Security, we went our separate ways.

"Good luck you two!" I said.

"You too Dawn!"

I turned to look where I was going. Security sent one drone after Crow and Yusei, and one after me.

This'll be fun.
