I looked back at the drone chasing me. Soon after, a Sector Security officer was following me on his duel runner. He forced me into a duel by activating the Speed World spell. I was forced to slow down because of this.
"I'm not letting you get away, Satellite!"
"We'll see about that," I said.
Officer 4000 SC 0; Dawn 4000 SC 0
"I'll go first," said the officer, "And I summon Gate Blocker(Lv 4; ATK 100 DEF 2000) in defense mode!"
Gate Blocker appeared in front of me, and made me slow down even more. "With this bad boy out on the field, you can't gain any speed counters. I place one facedown and end my turn."
"Then I go! Draw!"
Officer 4000 SC 1; Dawn 4000 SC 0
"Ok, first I summon Flare Lion Cub(Lv 1; ATK 200 DEF 100) in attack mode! Now thanks to her special ability, I can summon a tuner monster, and I choose Sunrise Wisp(Lv 4; ATK 900 DEF 300). Now I tune Sunrise Wisp with Flare Lion Cub to summon Sunrise Magician!"
Sunrise Magician appeared on the field. 'I am here to serve you milady.'
Now thanks to Sunrise Magician's ability, I can summon Sunrise Apprentice(Lv 4; ATK 1800 DEF 900) from my hand. Now, Sunrise Magician, take out that Gate Blocker!"
Sunrise Magician destroyed Gate Blocker, which turned into yellow shards. And now Sunrise Apprentice attacks you directly!"
Officer 1900 SC 2; Dawn 4000 SC 1
"Draw! I summon another Gate Blocker(Lv 4; ATK 100 DEF 2000) in defense mode. Now I release Gate Blocker to summon Gate Blocker 2(Lv 6; ATK 100 DEF 3000)! Now I activate the spell Speed's Edge. During each standby phase, you take 300 points of damage multiplied by the difference in our Speed Counters. Right now, the difference is one, so you take 300 points of damage. I end my turn."
Officer 1900 SC 3; Dawn 3700 SC 1
The Officer was gaining on me. I have to end this on this turn, I thought. "Draw! I summon Flare Fairy(Lv 3; ATK 700 DEF 400) in attack mode!"
Flare Fairy was a small fairy that looked like she was made of fire. She nodded to me and smiled. 'I am at your service,' she said happily. I smirked.
"Now thanks to Flare Fairy's special ability, I can summon a level 5 or below monster from my graveyard. I choose Flare Lion Cub! Now, Flare Fairy is going to tune Sunrise Magician and Flare Lion Cub! With a fiery passion burns a new day! I Synchro Summon, Sunrise Flare Dragon(Lv 9; ATK 3500 DEF 1500)!"
My ace monster appeared in front of me. She looked down confidently. This duel was over.
"Sunrise Flare's ability lets her gain 400 attack and defense points for every flare and sunrise monsters in my graveyard. Right now, there are four! That means 1600 more attack and defense points!"
Sunrise Flare: ATK 5100 DEF 3100
"5100 attack points?!" exclaimed the officer.
"Yup," and I'm going to put them to use. Sunrise Flare Dragon, attack Gate Blocker 2! Oh, and one detail I forgot, Sunrise Flare's second ability lets her switch all monsters on the field to attack mode."
"What?!"
"You heard me! So sorry for the interruption Sunrise Flare, keep up the attack!"
Sunrise Flare Dragon destroyed Gate Blocker 2 and it turned into yellow shards. "One more thing," I said, "Due to the other part of Sunrise Flare Dragon's second ability, when she destroys a monster she forces into attack mode, you take her attack points as damage!"
"What?!"
"This duel is now over."
Officer 0; Dawn 3700
The Sector Security officer got left behind as I sped up. Now to meet up with Yusei and Crow.
I got to Crow's hideout, but waited a bit before getting too close. I don't think the kids would like a total stranger walking up to them. When Yusei and Crow got there with Blitz, Tank, Nervin, Rally, and Blister, the sun was setting. I drove up next to Yusei.
"It's about time," I said, "Was the duel really that hard?"
Yusei and Crow looked at me in surprise. "How did you know we were dueling?" asked Yusei. My eyes widened, realizing what I had said. I immediately shrugged it off.
"It's Sector Security right? Of course they would force you into a duel. I mean, I had to duel too."
"Oh."
"Wait. How did you know how to get here?" asked Crow. I scratched the back of my head.
"Isn't this where we were supposed to meet up?"
Before Crow could say anything else, all the kids appeared. "It's Crow!"
"He's back!"
"Welcome back!"
"We were good!"
"Where are our presents?"
Crow took off his helmet. "What's wrong with you? The moment you see me, you start asking for presents? I gave you presents this afternoon!"
"Don't be stingy," said one of the kids.
"Give us some!" said another.
"Fine!" said Crow, "I don't have presents, but I brought the new King. The hero of Satellite, Yusei Fudo!"
Yusei took off his helmet and all the kids ooo-ed. Yusei looked surprised as all the kids ran up and surrounded his duel runner.
"I know who you are! You beat Jack!"
"Awesome! It's really him!"
All the kids started cheering more. "C'mon kids, don't touch the King with your dirty hands. That's bad luck."
I took off my helmet and started laughing. Of course, since my duel runner was upgraded, so was my helmet. My helmet was black just like my duel runner, and unlike my previous one, it didn't have any designs on it.
I looked at the kids, as well as everyone else. "Where were those kids hiding?" muttered Rally, "They have no shame."
"Maybe I should get Yusei's autograph while I still can," said Tank, "I might be able to sell it for a high price."
I sighed and hit him on the head.
Soon, it was nighttime. I saw an area where there were some seats ready around an area, where I guessed there was going to be a fire. While the kids were messing around with Yusei's duel runner, I lit a fire. Of course, I didn't do it the traditional way. Yusei, Rally, Nervin, Blitz, Tank, Blister, and Crow then sat around it with me. Yusei then told them about the vision he had during the final duel. The one of Satellite getting destroyed.
"Is that true Yusei?"
"Yeah. Satellite is destroyed in the future."
"You must be kidding," said Blitz.
"Does that mean Satellite is going to become the battlefield against the Dark Signers?" asked Tank. I nodded.
"Wait a second. Can you trust Goodwin's story?" asked Nervin, "He's the one that put those markers on your faces."
"We can," I said, "Plus, it's our only choice right now, right?"
They all looked at me. "What?" I asked.
"How do you know?" asked Nervin.
"I just do," I said. I revealed my sun mark, as Yusei revealed his dragon tail mark. "This says that the Dark Signers are the enemy."
Yusei nodded. "Stardust Dragon says that they're enemies as well."
"Even if this place becomes the battlefield, I'll protect them," said Crow, "I'm the only one who can protect them. Yusei, Dawn, I'll help you!"
Yusei looked at Crow in shock, but then he looked worried. A little girl jumped up on Crow. "Crow, tell me that story!"
"That story again?" asked a kid wearing a purple bandana.
"You love that story," said another kid.
"So what? I like Crow's stories."
"Alright," said Crow, "I'll tell you that story."
Crow then went into the story about the man who built the Daedalus Bridge. Rally kept interrupting, and all the other kids told him to be quiet. When Crow was done all of the kids started cheering, though Rally looked pretty disappointed. Rally then was talking to Crow about his duel runner, and the story was the reason why Crow had wings on his duel runner.
"Story time is over. Time for bed, kids," said Crow.
"Yeah go to bed," said Rally.
"Goodnight Crow!"
"Hey," said a kid pointing to Rally, "You should go to bed too!"
"Be quiet!" said Rally. All the kids started laughing, and then ran to go to bed. Blister said something about Yusei being like the man who tried to free Satellite. Yusei responded by saying he wasn't like that.
"It's getting late. We should go to bed too," said Yusei. Everyone started agreeing with him. Then they all went to sleep. Well, except me. I just couldn't sleep. Yusei's duel with Kallin was coming up. I made a weak flame appear, and tossed it between my hands. I eventually did go to sleep.
When I woke up, it was around the time when Yusei was going to get up to leave. He was still acting like he was asleep. I got up silently. If I dueled Armstrong instead of Yusei, that technically means I could duel Kiryu instead. Yusei doesn't have to get hurt.
I got up and walked toward my duel runner. As I was getting ready to leave, someone came up behind me. "Dawn, where are you going?"
I looked back, and saw that it was Yusei. "I'm going to fight one of the Dark Signers," I said, "So you don't have to." I looked down. "You won't have to get hurt," I muttered. Yusei put a hand on my shoulder.
"Dawn, what is this all about? Are you not telling me something?"
I looked up at Yusei. "I really wish I could tell you this," I said, "But I don't know what will happen if I do."
Yusei frowned. "Dawn, you can tell me."
I sighed. "Ok, but I can't tell you every single little thing."
He nodded. I took a deep breath in. "You remember how I told you that were I come from, no one duels?"
Yusei nodded. "Well, this world that we're in, your world, doesn't exist in mine. I've already seen everything that's going to happen, since where I come from, you, and everyone else is part of a fictional tv show: Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's. Evan comes from the same place I do, and that's why he freaked out when he first met you. I know I really didn't explain that completely to you, and I'm sorry. I'll explain more, once all of the Signers have gathered."
Yusei looked shocked. "Ok," he said, "You can tell me the rest with everyone else."
I nodded. "Mhm. But now we need to go defeat the Dark Signer waiting for us, more specifically, waiting for you."
Yusei nodded, and we wheeled our duel runners out to leave.
"I knew you were going to try and leave on your own."
We looked back, and saw that it was Crow. "Crow," said Yusei.
"It's not nice to leave without telling us," said Crow.
"This is not you fight Crow. It has nothing to do with you," said Yusei.
"You never change."
"I don't want to draw you into this battle," said Yusei. I nodded.
"You duel with your life on the line," I said, "I don't want to-"
"Are you saying that I won't be of any help?" said Crow, "Is that it?"
"No!" I said.
"You don't understand," said Yusei, "It's different than a Turbo Duel where all you care about is excitement. When you duel them, the battle takes away your life. You're actually risking your soul in battle. In the end, you may die."
"It's not a game anymore," I said, "Or a fantasy. I don't want to purposely put someone I know in danger!"
Crow sighed. "Yusei, since you're always serious, I know that you're telling the truth. However, I vowed to risk my life to protect the kids!"
"So you feel the same," said Yusei. Crow nodded. "If you're coming, you know the risks."
Crow gave Yusei a huge smile. "Don't underestimate me. I'll be your guide!"
He and Yusei fist bumped. "Now, if you're all done with that," I said, "We have to get going. I want to get this part over with."
Crow looked at me with a confused expression, but Yusei sort of understood. We all got on our duel runners and sped away. I was too worried about the upcoming battle to pay attention to what Yusei and Crow were saying. I never liked watching other people get hurt after all.
We were going toward the old Reactor, when a fog rolled in. "Looks like there's some fog," said Crow, "But it's this way."
Each one of us looked around, just in case there was something dangerous around. As we were driving by, Kiryu was watching us. He lifted his arm, and made his Dark Signer mark light up. This caused a big purple shadow of a giant appear before us.
"What's that?" asked Crow. Yusei's mark, and my mark both lit up.
"It's not what," I said, "It's who."
They both looked at me. "You'll see. We'll get there soon."
"Be careful! A dark Signer is nearby."
"What!"
"Mm. It's true."
A card flew by Crow's head. We all had to stop because of it. "Are you okay Crow?" asked Yusei.
"Yeah."
I looked up to where Kiryu was, while Yusei looked back at the card. "Vorse Raider?"
"Yusei."
Yusei and Crow looked up, recognizing that voice. "And Crow is with you. You don't know how long I've been waiting for this moment.
"What?" asked Crow.
"How do you know our names?" asked Yusei. Kalin smirked. "So you've forgotten about me."
Kalin pulled off his cloak. "No way!" said Yusei, "Kiryu?!
"You're alive Kiryu Kyosuke?" asked Crow.
"Yusei, thanks to you, I've seen hell. I'll get my revenge until you can't stand it anymore!"
"I don't know what you mean by hell, but this has to be a misunderstanding!" yelled Crow.
"It's not a misunderstanding," I said, "It really is him. Kalin Kessler, or Kiryu Kyosuke is really in front of you."
Kiryu looked amused. "And who is this?" He then saw my mark. "Ah the Solar Signer. You'll be with us soon enough."
"Does that mean you're a Dark Signer? You're going to destroy Satellite?"
"Find out how different I am than the person you used to know!"
Kiryu put his helmet on, and revved his duel runner. As soon as he did, the wall of what looked like purple fire started spreading out, making the shape of a giant. It came between me and Yusei. It separated me and Crow from Yusei. We all shielded our eyes from the bright light. "Yusei!" I shouted.
"Let's settle our destinies here! This is the field where Signers and Dark Signers battle!"
"What?" said Crow.
"What's this," asked Yusei.
"Yusei, I'll send you into the depths of hell!"
"Kiryu..."
"Just so you know, this mark is real! It's not one of the fakes you saw before."
"He's a Dark Signer that Goodwin was talking about," said Yusei, "Is this the ancient battle that took place five thousand years ago?"
Crow and I drove to where we could see the battle better. "Yusei! What's going on!"
"A battle between Signer and Dark Signer," I said, "Kiryu's mark is the giant, and the lines of the dueling course are shaped like a giant."
"How do you know all of this?" asked Crow. I sighed. "It's complicated. Just pay attention to what's happening."
A helicopter flew by us. Inside was Jack Atlas, and a few other people. The helicopter lowered more, then it was forced to go back up.
Kiryu started laughing. "This makes me laugh! Jack Atlas and Crow! And Yusei. This is hilarious. I can't believe the four of us are all together. Did the underworld cause this? I will never forgive you. These flames are the flames of my revenge!"
"Kiryu, back then..."
"I'll never forget that you betrayed me and pushed me towards death."
"Kiryu..."
I turned to Crow. "You used to call yourselves Team Satisfaction, right?"
Crow looked at me in surprise. "Yeah," he said, "We were all part of the same dueling gang. Kiryu was our team leader."
I looked down at my hands. "Flames of revenge huh?"
"It was fun back then wasn't it Yusei? Wasn't it, Crow? Jack? This fire represents my anger! It won't vanish until there's a winner! Let's start the battle between a Signer and a Dark Signer. This life-or-death battle is between former friends!"
Kiryu then sped past Yusei. "Here I go, Yusei!"
"Kiryu, why are you a Dark Signer?"
Kiryu just laughed in response. Yusei revved his engine and followed after his former friend.
"Field Spell Speed World set on!" said Kiryu.
"You're serious, Kiryu."
"Duel!"
Kiryu 4000 SC 0; Yusei 4000 SC 0
Crow and I put the duel on the monitors of our duel runners.
"Yusei..." I said.
"Yusei... Kiryu..." said Crow.
"Let's begin," said Kiryu. Team Satisfaction is back! My turn! I summon Infernity Beast(Lv 3; ATK 1600 DEF 1200)!"
Infernity beast was a black canine with golden legs, a gold face, and red eyes. It also had light green circles on each side of its face.
"I set one card and end my turn. Now bring it. I'm counting on a tough battle to stoke my flames of revenge!"

"My turn! I summon Speed Warrior(Lv 2; ATK 900 DEF 400) in attack mode! During the Battle Phase of this turn, Speed Warrior's attack points are doubled!"

"Speed Warrior attacks Infernity Beast! Sonic Edge!"
"I activate my trap card! Depth Amulet! I discard on card from my hand to negate you monster's attack! You never change you deck, so I know exactly what you'll do!"
"You're saying that you've changed?"
"Thanks to you!"
"I set two cards and end my turn," said Yusei.
Kiryu 4000 SC 2; Yusei 4000 SC 2
"My turn! I summon Infernity Archfiend(Lv 4; ATK 1800 DEF 1200) from my hand! Infernity Beast attacks Speed Warrior! Hell Howling!"
Yusei 4000 - 3300
Speed Warrior was destroyed and Yusei took damage. Kiryu started laughing. "Dance the dance of death, Yusei."
Yusei started spinning out of control, but then regained it. "This is a real Turbo Duel! It's different than your childish games! This battle isn't over yet! Infernity Archfiend attacks Yusei directly! Hell Pressure!"
A big light purple circle appeared on top of Yusei. "Yusei!" I cried out. A demon hand appeared from the middle of the circle, and was going toward Yusei. Kiryu was laughing the entire time.
"Die, Yusei!"
"I activate my trap card Scrap-Iron Scarecrow! It negates the attack of one of your monsters! After activation, the card is set again instead of going to the graveyard."
I looked down at the field worriedly. "Yusei..." I closed my eyes. The worst of it hasn't even come to pass yet.
"I set one card and end my turn," said Kiryu.
Kiryu 4000 SC 3; Yusei 3300 SC 3
"You refuse to die. You're willing to do whatever it takes to stay alive. You never change Yusei."
"You're wrong. Kiryu. Back then, I-"
"It's your turn."
"Draw! I summon Junk Synchron! I can now Special Summon one Level 2 or below monster from my graveyard on to my field in defense mode! Appear, Speed Warrior! Level 3 Junk Synchron tunes Level 2 Speed Warrior! The stars come together to call forth a new power! Become the path that light the way! Synchro Summon! Come forth, Junk Warrior(Lv 5; ATK 2300 DEF 1300)!"
"Keep acting tough."
"I activate the trap Shard of Hope that's on my field. With this continuous trap, when my monster deals you damage, I draw one card from my deck. If it's a trap card, I can activate it from my hand."
"That's only if you manage to deal me battle damage."
"Junk Warrior attacks Infernity Beast! Scrap Fist!"
"I send one card in my hand to the graveyard to activate Depth Amulet's effect! The battle is negated."
My eyes widened. "What?! That means he only has one card left! Just to protect his monster?"
"I end my turn!"

"My turn! I release Infernity Beast and Infernity Archfiend to Advance Summon Dark Tuner Nightmare Hand(Lv 10; ATK 0 DEF 0)!"
"A monster with zero attack and defense points?" asked Crow.
"A dark tuner..." I muttered, "They all have them. All of the Dark Signers."
"When Nightmare Hand is successfully summoned, I can Special Summon a Level 2 or below monster from my hand!"
"What?"
"I Special Summon Infernity Dwarf(Lv 2; ATK 800 DEF 500)! Level 10 Dark Tuner Nightmare Hand dark tunes Level 2 Infernity Dwarf!"
"Dark Tuning! This isn't good!" I exclaimed.
"Just as I feared," said Yusei.
Infernity Dwarf was enveloped in darkness. 'Help me!'
I looked out in shock, then reached my hand out. "No..." I muttered. Crow looked at me.
"Dawn, what's wrong?"
"I heard Infernity Dwarf," I said, "He was calling for help."
"When absolute darkness descends, the eyes of the afterlife open! Shadows, descend! Dark Synchro! Come, Hundred-Eyes Dragon(Lv -8; ATK 3000 DEF 2500)!"
"Kiryu, so this is your ace monster."
"What's that monster? Kiryu never had that in his deck before," muttered Crow.
"All Dark Signers have them," I said, "A dark tuner, and a dark synchro."
Crow looked at me in shock. "Are you serious?!"
I nodded. "Hundred-Eyes Dragon attacks Junk Warrior!"
"Yusei!"
"I activate my trap card! Scrap-Iron Scarecrow!"
"Hundred-Eyes Dragon's monster effect activates! When this card is faced, it gains the effects of Dark Attribute monsters in my graveyard!"
"What?"
"It gains Infernity Beast's monster effect from my graveyard! If I attack when I have zero cards in my hand, you can't activate spell or trap cards!"
"Zero cards in his hand! That's what he was aiming for!" exclaimed Yusei in realization. Yusei's trap card was prevented from activating.
"Go, Hundred-Eyes Dragon! Infinity Sight Stream!"
Yusei 3300 - 2600
"Crash into the flames Yusei!" said Kiryu laughing. Yusei was able to get out of the purple flames. Barely. "That's the spirit Yusei! I won't let you surrender yet! I'll make you taste even more deadly pain!"
"Kiryu."
"I end my turn."
Kiryu 4000 SC 5; Yusei 2600 SC 5
"Draw! I summon Rockstone Warrior(Lv 4; ATK 1800 DEF 1600) in defense mode!"
"You're going to stay using defense monsters."
"I place one card facedown and end my turn."
"After Depth Amulet is activated, it's destroyed during the End Phase of the opponent's third turn."
"The strategy he's using," said Yusei, "Kiryu, it's completely different than before. In face, everything about you is different."
"Thanks to you," said Kiryu bitterly.
"Why? Why do we have to fight? Kiryu."
Kiryu 4000 SC 6; Yusei 2600 SC 6
"My turn! Draw! I activate the Speed Spell Power Baton. I can activate the Sppe Spell when I have 6 or more Speed Counters. I select one monster card in my deck and send it to the graveyard. During the Damage Step, one monster on my field gains attack points equal to the monster I sent to the graveyard! The monster I'm sending to the graveyard is Infernity Destroyer, which had 2300 attack points!"
"What?!"
"By sending this card to the graveyard, Hundred-Eyes Dragon's attack points become 5300! Next, Hundred-Eyes Dragon's monster effect activates! It gains the monster effect of Infernity Dwarf that's in my graveyard. When I have zero card in my hand, if Infernity Dwarf's attack points are greater than your defending monster's defense points, then the difference is dealt to you as damage! This is the power of my zero-card handless combo!"
"Handless combo...?"
"Hundred-Eyes Dragon attacks Rockstone Warrior! Infinity Sight Stream! Take 3700 points of damage!"
"I won't let that happen! Due to Rockstone Warrior's effect battle damage becomes zero!"
Kiryu started laughing again. "You barely survived Yusei. But is there anything you can do on the next turn? You have no monsters left on your field to act as a shield! And you only have two cards in your hand! With those two cards in your hand, can you form a strategy to stop my Hundred-Eyes Dragon? Worry and suffer! Fight to live!"
"Quit it! Kiryu, you're... You're... You're not this type of person!"
"I'm not done. Due to Hundred-Eyes Dragon's monster effect, I activate the monster effect of Infernity Destroyer that's in my graveyard! When I have zero cards in my hand, you take 800 points of damage when I destroy your monster in battle!"
Yusei 2600 - 1800
Yusei's duel runner was thrown up into the air, and into the fire.
"Yusei!" I yelled.
"You'll burn this time, Yusei Fudo!"
"That's enough Kiryu!" yelled Crow.
Kiryu laughed more as I tried to keep my fire under control. It was threatening to spark up at any moment.
Yusei got himself out of the fire, and Crow and I breathed a sigh of relief.
"Yusei, you traitor!"
"Crow! Dawn!"
We looked back to see Rally, Tank, Blitz, and Nervin. "Where's Yusei?" asked Rally. Crow pointed over to the purple fire.
"Yusei," they all said.
"Why is Yusei in a Turbo Duel?" asked Nervin.
"It's a duel against a Dark Signer," I said, "He has to."
"Who's the opponent?" asked Tank.
"Kiryu," said Crow. They looked at him in surprise.
"Kiryu?"
"You mean Kiryu Kyosuke?"
"Why him?"
"What's going on?"
"I don't know either," said Crow, "However, I know for sure that the flaming race course isn't Solid Vision."
"It's a duel where Yusei is risking his life," I said.
"What's wrong? Your duel runner is in pain!" said Kiryu. Yusei's duel runner looked like it was about ready to fall apart.
"Keep it together until this duel is over!" said Yusei. I put my hands over my mouth. "Nononononononononono," I muttered, "It's coming."
"What's coming?" asked Crow, "Dawn?"
"Kiryu's true ace monster," I said.
"What? So Hundred-Eyes Dragon isn't Kiryu's ace monster?"
I nodded. "That's right. Kiryu has a stronger monster."
And I think I'm gonna do something crazy when it comes.
They all looked back to the duel.
"What's wrong? During this End Phase, Power Baton's effect ends. Therefore Hundred-Eyes Dragon's attack points decrease from 5300 to 3000!"
Kiryu 4000 SC 7; Yusei 1800 SC 7
"My turn! When monsters are only on the opponent's side of the field, I can Special Summon this card as a Level 4 monster! Come, Level Warrior(Lv 4; ATK 300 DEF 600)! Then I normal summon Hyper Synchron(Lv 4; ATK 1600 DEF 800)! Hyper Synchrony tunes Level Warrior! The wishes come together to form a new shining star! Become the path that lights the way! Synchro Summon! Soar, Stardust Dragon(Lv 8; ATK 2500 DEF 2000)!"

"All right! Stardust Dragon's attack points are greater than Hundred-Eyes Dragon's attack points!" said Nervin.
"Nicely done Yusei!" exclaimed Rally.
"But what will he do about the handless combo?" asked Crow.
"Battle! Stardust Dragon, roar! Shooting Sonic!"
"Hundred-Eyes Dragon gains the monster effect of Infernity Guardian that's in my graveyard! Due to this, it won't be destroyed in battle!"
"However, you'll still take battle damage!"
Kiryu 4000 - 3700
"That's a nice amount of damage, Yusei," said Kiryu laughing, "Let's keep having fun and shave away our lives!"
"Since Stardust Dragon dealt battle damage, the continuous trap, Shard of Hope, activates. I draw one card from my deck. If that card is a trap card, i can activate it by destroying Shard of Hope. I'm betting everything on this draw! My combo becomes a path that lights the way! I destroy Shard of Hope to activate this card. I activate the trap card Miracle Locus! You get to draw on card, and my Stardust Dragon gains 1000 attack points and can attack for a second time this turn! Now draw, Kiryu!"
"How dare you!"

"Nicely done! He can only activate his handless combo when he has zero cards in his hand!" said Crow.
"I see! That's why he forced him to draw a card!" exclaimed Rally.
"Go! The second battle! Roar! Shooting Sonic!"
Hundred-Eyes Dragon was destroyed, and Kiryu took damage.
Kiryu 3700 - 2400
"He destroyed Hundred-Eyes Dragon!" exclaimed Crow, "Now his handless combo is completely broken!" All of them cheered, and I was the only one in our little group that wasn't as happy.
"When Hundred-Eyes Dragon is destroyed, I select one card in my deck and add it to my hand," said Kiryu.
"Here it comes," I muttered. I was pretty frightened. I was actually going to see one of the Earthbound Immortals in person, and not on a screen.
"This is the final blow! I activate my trap!" said Yusei, "Synchro Destructor! When my Synchro Monster destroys your monster in battle, you take damage equal to half that monster's attack points. Furthermore, if the destroyed monster was a Synchro Monster, you take that damage again!"
"All right! Half of Hundred-Eyes Dragon's attack points are 1500! Taking that twice would be 3000 points of damage!" said Crow.
"Yusei wins!" said Tank.
"Yusei planned his combo excellently," said Nervin.
"You're incredible Yusei!" said Rally.
"How dare you, Yusei!" said Kiryu, "Just kidding. I activate my trap Damage Translation! This halves the damage I take from card effects!"
Kiryu 2400 - 900
"That was good damage Yusei!"
"He survived," said Tank.
"But Kiryu has no more monsters left on his field." said Blitz, "Yusei has Stardust Dragon that's been powered up by Hyper Synchron."
"Even if Kiryu Special Summons a monster, Yusei has Scrap-Iron Scarecrow set on his field, so he can negate his attack."
"I end my tu-"
"During the end phase! Damage Translation's other effect activates. During the End Phase, I can Special Summon the sam number of Ghost Tokens as the number of times I took damage from card effects."
Two ghost tokens appeared on Kiryu's side of the field.
"What are you planning?" asked Yusei. Kiryu started laughing. "I can't stop laughing! Thanks to you destroying Hundred-Eyes Dragon, I was able to add the strongest Dark Signer card to my hand."
"What?"
"It's showtime!" said Kiryu. A lot of people appeared at the edge of the purple flames. They were all the people that were followers of the Dark Signers.
"What?" asked Yusei, "Who are they?"
"They're people!" said Rally, "There are people in the geoglyph flames!" I nodded. "Sacrifices," I said. They all looked at me. "Sacrifices?!"
"Yes. For his strongest monster."
"They're the people who vanished from Satellite."
"You were the ones who made Satellite citizens vanish?" asked Yusei. Kiryu started laughing even more. "It's my turn! But due to Power Baton's effect, I can't draw."
Kiryu 900 SC 7; Yusei 1800 SC 8
"Kiryu! What did you do to them?"
"They're going to be sacrificed to this card."
"Sacrificed?"
"With their sacrifices, this card gains the power of a god! I release the two Tokens. The two Ghost Token's were released and something else appeared in their place. It kind of looked like a heart in a way. Once that appeared in the sky, all the people in the flames started screaming. They all then turned into purple lights that went toward the heart.
"What?" said Yusei.
"It's coming. The Earthbound Immortal," I said.
"What's that?" asked Crow. I pointed to Kiryu.
"His strongest card."
"I sacrifice their souls," said Kiryu, "Descend!"
"Earthbound Immortal Ccapac Apu(Lv 10; ATK 3000 DEF 2500)," I said. I had said those four words at the same time as Kiryu. The heart thing in the sky started beating, powered by all the people's souls. It turned into a column of bright purple light. Once the light disappeared, in its place stood the Earthbound Immortal.
"No way..." said Crow. Kiryu started laughing again.
"That monster is humongous!" said Yusei.
"Yusei, last the curse of the dead! My Earthbound Immortal Ccapac Apu! Swing the steel hammer of justice on our enemy, the Signers!"
The Earthbound Immortal started reaching its hand down toward Yusei.
"Stardust!"
Stardust Dragon flew right through the Earthbound Immortals hand. "What? Scrap-Iron Scarecrow!"
"You fool! Do you really thing such cheap tricks will work against an Earthbound Immortal?"
"Damn! I can't even defend with a monster or a trap!"
I took a breath in, and made fire appear in front of my hands. I then ran and jumped off the edge.
"Dawn!" yelled Crow and all the others. I looked back at them and smiled. I flew toward Yusei's duel runner and made a big shield of red flames appear. The Earthbound Immortal's hand hit my shield. I yelled in pain. It was taking a lot of effort to keep the shield up. My Signer mark was glowing brighter than ever.
"Dawn, what are you doing?!" yelled Yusei.
"I have the power to help you!" I said, "So that's what I'm doing!"
Yusei's duel runner then decided to give up. It sparked, and Yusei started spinning out of control. He fell off of his duel runner, and then started rolling on the ground.
"Yusei!"
The shield that I had made started falling apart. The Earthbound Immortal broke my shield, and then I was hit by its big fist. I hit the ground hard. Because of the impact on the ground, I was forced to jump back up into the air a couple times, just like Yusei. I ended up having a lot of scratches and deep cuts that were all bleeding. A sharp piece of metal had gotten lodged in my chest. I think it missed my heart; I was still breathing after all.
Once I had stopped moving from the impact, I almost lost consciousness. I looked up, and saw Kiryu stop by Yusei. "Looks like your duel runner saved you," Kiryu laughed, "Feel pain! Be scared! Let fear conquer you so that you burn in the fires of a living hell! You'll face the same warships that I faced!"
Kiryu raised his Earthbound Immortal card, and the monster disappeared from the sky, as well as the flames.
"You're safe for now," said Kiryu, "Until the next time we meet, feel the shame while you tremble in fear."
I looked up, and saw that Kiryu had stopped by me. He got off of his duel runner, and walked toward me.
"And you," he said, "How dare you interrupt the duel."
Kiryu kicked me in the gut. "Ack!"
He kicked me a good five times with full force. It made me cough up blood.
"You're... an ass," I said weakly. After I said those few words, I lost consciousness.
Narrator's POV
Crow, Rally, Blitz, Tank, and Nervin ran to where Yusei and Dawn were. Both of the duelists were on the ground in pain.
"Yusei! Dawn!"
"Hang in there!" said Blitz, "Are you okay, Yusei?"
They rolled him over to see a piece of metal sticking out of his gut.
"This is bad," said Tank.
"Yusei, pull yourself together!" said Rally. Rally then ran over to Dawn. She had a small smudge of blood right next to her mouth. Rally then noticed the metal sticking out of Dawn's chest. His eyes widened.
"Oh no, Dawn!"
Rally was going to touch Dawn, while Blitz and the others were going to touch Yusei. "Don't touch them!" yelled Crow, who had just gotten there with his duel runner, as well as Dawn's duel runner. Crow got on his duel runner. "Just hurry up and put them on! I'll take them to Martha's!"
"The house?"
"Yeah. You guys get there later!"
Once Crow was gone, as well as the helicopter that Jack was in, the four remaining Satellites looked at each other. "What should we do now?" asked Tank.
"There's only one thing to do. Let's go to the House right away," said Nervin. All of them, except for Rally, started running.
"Wait a second," said Rally, "What about their duel runners? We have to take them with us."
"C'mon Rally," said Nervin, "Are you seriously thinking of pushing those all the way to the House? There are lots of thieves up ahead. If we take that with us-"
"That's an even greater reason why we can't leave this here! Did you forget that this treasure si important to us?"
Of course, Rally was talking about Yusei's duel runner. Tank sighed. "You're right. It's an important bond between us and Yusei. We all gather parts that we thought were useful, and then we brought them to Yusei."
"Yeah, and we were so happy once we built it."
"Yeah."
"It's because we all did it together."
"Let's take it with us," said Tank.
"Yeah!" said Blitz, "It's the symbol of our friendship."
"And our bond," added Tank.
"Thank you!" said Rally.
Nervin sighed. "Fine. But what about Dawn's-"
Right then there was a bright light. Dawn's duel runner was covered in flames. The four of them started freaking out. What would cause Dawn's duel runner to burst into flames? Once the flames died down, Dawn's duel runner had disappeared.
They all got over their shock, and ran over to Yusei's duel runner. "It's not my fault if something bad happens!" said Nervin.
MysticFangs: Okay, that the end. *Looks around* Hey, why isn't anyone attacking me?
Dawn: Evan went off somewhere, and I'm not mad about the chapter.

Dawn: *shakes head*
MysticFangs: *eyes sparkle*
Dawn: That doesn't mean I won't try to kill you if something bad happens later on.
