Inuyasha's P.O.V
"Which one's your house Inuyasha?"
She just had to ask didn't she? I couldn't lie to her though. I had to tell her the truth.
I glanced away from her smiling, friednly face, pointed to my house and said, "That one right there."
She looked to where I was pointing and saw my tiny shack of a house. However, her smile never faded.
"Oh I love that house! My friend Manny used to live there before he moved to Califronia. I've always thought that house was nice and homey. We used to hang out in his basement all the time."
"Yeah, the basement's my room," I said.
"Shit! Why did I tell her that? She knows what the basement looks like. Dammit! Now she's really gonna think I'm a loser."
"Oh, really? Cool! You've got your own like little area!"
"What? She thinks that's cool?"
"Uh, yeah. I like my own space. Especially since I'm living with my brother now. I can't stand him."
We were now on her private road. The road was made of white bricks and there was nothing but grass and trees around us. It was beautiful and very peaceful.
"Why don't you like your brother?" she asked.
"Because he's an arrogant asshole and he used to treat me like total shit when I was little. He always looked down on me because I'm a half demon and he's a full demon."
"Shit, shit, shit! Why do I keep telling her this stuff? I never told her I was a half demon. She probably thought this entire time that I was a full one!"
"Oh, well that's not very nice of him," she said.
"What? She's not freaked out or disguisted that I'm a half demon?"
We reached a bridge that lead the road over a beautiful pond with clear blue water. The bottom and walls of the pond was not made out of dirt and ground, but rather the same white bricks that the road was made of instead. It made the water much cleaner and clear since it wasn't made out of dirt. There were frogs jumping from lily pads and koi fish swimming happily and peacefully with out a care in the world.
"I bet even though she's rich, she probably lives in a normal house. Like the nice small ones in my neighborhood."
I could see farther up the road that the bricks change from white to a light gray then to a dark gray. And I could see a tall rock, gated wall with white, light gray and dark gray rocks in it. Remember how I said that I thought she probably lived in a small nice house like the ones in my neighborhood? Yeah well, I could not have been more wrong.
I thought I lived in mansions in my life. But none of them were as big as Kagome's. Her driveway itself was huge! It was all brick and it faded from one color to the next just like the road did and it wrapped around a huge white marble fountain that you could probably swim in. There were hedges on both sides of the driveway that led up to the house and there were flower pots on patios and balconies. There were white pillar columns on the front porch and there were four balconies; each with a white fence around them that looked they were made out of marble. It looked like there were three stories to the estate but it wouldn't suprise me if there were more than that. The entire house was made out of light gray rocks and the driveway led to the side of the house where there was a four door garage that was facing the side of the house; which was made out of light gray rocks as well. The entire scene that was standing in front of me at that moment looked like something you'd only see on tv. Her home looked like a castle.
She led me up to the front porch where there were flower pots and hanging ferns as well as tall glass french doors. She unlocked the doors and led me inside and it was unlike anything I had ever seen in my life. We were in the fourier of the house. The floor and staircase was all made of marble and it was all lavender and white. There was a huge chandelier hanging above us that had purple and white jewels hanging off of it.
I was absolutley speechless with the place. I litereraly had my mouth hanging open and my eyes were wide. I felt like I had to take my shoes off.
Kagome giggled and said, "Let me show you around!"
She led me to the right of the room and into a doorway.
"Here's the dinning room. We only use it on holidays when we have family here," she said. The walls of the room were a very pale color that I couldn't decide wether it was green or blue. But it had flowers painted on it that looked like cherry blossoms but they were white. There were mint green curtains hanging up with gold curtain rods. Their dinning table was big enough to fit twelve people on each side and one on each end. It was bigger than the table my dad had. The top of it was glass and the legs of it were dark wood. Hanging above the table was a crystal chandelier. There was a huge white marble fireplace that was so big that a person could literally walk into it with out ducking their head. There was a large portrait above the fireplace that had Kagome and her family in it. There was her mother, father and I assumed her little brother. It must have been a couple years old though.
She led me into another room through the dinning room.
"Here's the kitchen," she said. It was a dark gray and had the latest up to date kitchen applicances. There was a long marble counter with black bar stools. Next to the refridgerator there was a door that led to god knows what. On the other side of the kitchen, there was a round area, with five tall windows around it. There was a bench made to fit the window and a kitchen table in front of it with two chairs on the other side. To the left of the table there was a large dark, wooden door with a metal handle that, again, led to god knows what. The door looked exactly like the door next to the fridge. I looked out one of the windows behind the bench and what I saw took my breath away. It was their backyard. And it was beautiful.
There was an in-ground pool with lights in it and it was surrounded with rock flooring and there were large cusioned patio furniture everywhere with tables and umbrellas. I assumed that the door next to the fridge led to a small round room with glass windows because I could see the room from the window i was looking out of. There was a glass door from that room that led outside onto a rock balcony with white marble fencing to it. From the balcony there was a curved staircase made of the same rocks and fencing and it led down to the pool. I never had a house that was built as beautiful as Kagome's was.
"Are you hungry?"
I turned to where the beautiful voice came from and saw Kagome climbing on to the counter top to open the cabinet above it.
"A little bit," I said.
"Yeah, me too. Lunch kinda sucked today," she said.
She closed the cabinet and hopped off the counter with a bag of Cool Ranch Doritos and a bag of Dill Pickle Lays chips in her hands. The thought of Dill Pickle chips made my stomach feel weird. I didn't even know they made such thing.
"C'mon!" she said and led me out of the kitchen, through the dinning room through the fourier to the other side of the house.
"We call this the meeting room. We use it whenever we have lots of people over," she said. I looked around and there were large white leather furniture everywhere. The walls were a light blue and there were white end tables and a coffee table in the middle of a circle of couches and chairs. Well, it was more like a rectangle than a circle but you get my drift. There was a tall glass vase with fake white lillies in it and the rest of the vase was taken up by a bunch of blue marbles. The ceiling was high up with lights and a large white chandelier hung down over top the furniture. To the right of the room there was a bar with barstools and a fridge. Above the bar there were different drink glasses hanging down just like any other bar. Above all of that there was a balcony with a white metal fence. There was a black grand piano in the balcony. The sun shined in large glass windows just like the ones in the kitchen. I looked out them and saw it was just like what I saw in the kitchen. There was a balcony and a staircase that led down to the pool.
Kagome next led me into another room that was next to the one we were just in. It was just like the one beside the kitchen except it was bigger.
"This is the living room," she said. There was leather and dark wood furniture everywhere. There was a 60" television on a very large entertainment center with books and DVDs as well as VHS tapes. There were pictures everywhere around the room. They all ranged from old black and white family photographs to school photos. One that really caught my eye though was a picture of a band. And not just any band. It was Buckcherry. It was an older picture of the band. Standing beside the lead vocalist, Josh Todd, was a black haired girl; that I assumed was about thirteen years old, with chocolate brown eyes and a dazzling white smile. Josh had his arm around the girl's shoulders and she had her arms around his waist. That was when I noticied that the two of them looked a lot alike. Almost too much alike to not be related.
"Wait a minute! Kagome's met the members of Buckcherry! That's fucking awesome! But then again why wouldn't she? She's a celebrity herself."
"That's my dad," she said pointing to the talented vocalist she had her arms around.
"HER DAD IS JOSH TODD?!"
"Your dad is Josh Todd?!" I asked outloud this time.
"Yep," she said and giggle. "If you knew half the celebrities my dad and I have met you'd probably shit yourself."
A gave her a look that meant seriously? And she gave a small nod in return with a huge grin.
"My dad's my manager. He books all of my band's shows and interviews and even my own show's and interviews. About three months ago I was on the Ellen Degeneres Show."
I stood there, not moving, but still staring at the picture trying to process everything she told me.
"C'mon!" she said again and grabbed my hand.
She led me out of the living room, through the meeting room and back into the fourier and up the beautifuly crafted marble staircase that faded from lavender to white and back to lavender again. She then led me down the left side of the hall.
"This is Souta's room," she said gesturing to a room that had the door wide open. There were clothes everywhere and his bed wasn't made. He had a tall bookshelf that had DVDs, a couple of VHSs and a lot of little league soccer, baseball and football tropies and plaques. Typical boy's room. There was also a Saint Bernard laying on a loveseat sleeping, on his back, with his paws in the air.
"Wait, who's Souta?" I asked.
"My little brother," she answered "And that's Eugene," she said pointing to the napping dog.
"Here's a bathroom," she said pointing to a closed door. "And here's my grandpas room. He's really into old and ancient artifacts," she said pointing to another closed door.
She then rounded a corner and led me down to the end of the hall.
"And here's my dad's room," she said. The door was open and I peeked inside. He had a king sized bed with silk black sheets. There were pictures and guitars everywhere on the walls. Most of them were family pictures and others were pictures of his band and Kagome's band. There was a husky laying on his bed sleeping.
"That's Jareth," she said pointing at him.
She then led me down all the way to the other end of the hall.
"This is the movie room," she said as she opened a door and turned the light on. I peeked in and it was a windowless room with a cusion/mattress; I didn't really know what to call it but you could fit several people on it and it had a block pattern on it with different colors. Above it there was a projector and it was connected to a laptop on a computer desk.
"This is cool as shit," I said.
"Yeah, we have family movie nights in here every sunday night," she said as she turned off the light and closed the door.
"And here's my room," she said as she opened the door.
It was pink. And zebra print. And very fluffy and girly. She had a king sized bed with a pink headboard and footboard. She had pink and zebra print pillows all over it and a leopard print comforter that had the Love Pink logo on it. She had black curtains covering her windows and it made it very dark in her room. She sat down the chips and drinks on her bed and night stand and walked in front of a pink fouton and started talking to something.
"Hey, Jack! Oh! You're asleep."
She scooped up whatever it was she was talking to and walked to a cat tree on the other side of the room. I looked to see what she had in her arm and it just so happened to be a Mogwai demon. She layed it down in a cubby hole in the cat tree and covered the hole with a thick black material. She then walked to her windows and pulled back the black curtains. Something then shined in my eyes. And it wasn't the sun.
In between her window and glass, french, balcony doors (I found out it was two doors instead of a window when she pulled back the curtains) was a very large black entertainment center. It held a 50" television in the middle of it. Below the tv were rows of DVDs and VHS tapes. But the rest of the entertainment center held what shined in my eyes.
Crowns. Everywhere. Along with trophies and plaques. And there were very tall trophies, probably four feet high, on the sides of the entertainment center. From there, the tall trophies wrapped around her entire room. I looked up and she had a very large pink chandelier and crowns were hanging from her ceiling. She had sashs hanging off of trophies and some on the walls. On the very top of her entertainment center she had crowns and trophies but in the middle of all of them there was a pink piece of fabric. On it, there was a crown with a plaque and a sash as well as a picture. The picture was Kagome in a dress on stage. She had her hands up, her mouth was open and she was crying. The plaque with it said: Kagome Higurashi, 2012 Teen Miss America.
"You're Teen Miss America?!" I almost yelled to her.
She looked up at me from her bed. She had gotten our chips and drinks and bags and walked up to the fouton and sat everything down.
"Yeah," she said with a little smile.
"That's incredible," I said clearly amazed.
She giggled and said, "Thanks. Now sit down here and let me help you with your homework!"
I nodded and sat down beside her. It's a good thing she wasn't a demon or she would hear how fast my heart beats when I get a wif of her intoxicating scent.
