Inuyasha's P.O.V
It had stopped raining a few minutes after I called Kagome and asked her to pick me up for school. I was sitting at a barstool at the kitchen counter and staring out the glass door, waiting for the beauty to arrive. Around 7:40 I heard the smooth sound of a powerful engine roaring up to my house. I hopped off my stool and headed towards the door.
"Bye, Inuyasha! Have a good day at school!" Rin almost yelled, grinning from ear to ear.
"Thanks, Rin," I said, paying no attention to Fluff Butt.
I slid the door back and stepped out into the humid Hawaii air. Even though it wasn't raining at the moment, I could tell it was going to rain again. The sky looked pretty dark and I could smell the rain coming.
I walked down my drive way and once I reached the road, I looked up and my jaw hit the ground so hard it reached China. Sitting in front of me, was a Lamborghini. And not just any Lamborghini. It was a 2014 Lamborghini Aventador. It had a sparkly pink matte finish to it and a pink rinestone frame to the license plate which said KAGOME.
Her little brother Souta hopped out of the passenger seat, pulled it back and hopped in the back seat. I walked up, pulled the seat back, hopped in and pulled the door down. I was suprised I even knew how to shut the door since I had never even sat in a Lamborghini before or any vehical that had doors like that.
"Hey, Inuyasha!" Kagome said flashing her million dollar smile at me.
"Hey, guys," I said looking at her and Souta.
I looked back at Souta and he nodded at me, not taking his eyes off his game.
"Man! I can't get a good signal through here!"
I turned around and looked back at Kagome and she was fiddling with her radio.
"Every single one of my stations is nothing but static through here," she said getting frustrated as she kept changing the stations on her radio. A country station came through very clear but she quickly changed it and kept looking for another one.
"That one you were just on sounded fine," I suggested.
"Yeah, but that was a country station. In this vehicle, we rock. And roll."
My kind of woman.
"Ah, screw this!" she said as she threw her hands up in the air. "I'll just play something from my phone." And with that she took her phone from her cupholder and plugged in an auxilary chord that was plugged into her radio. She searched her music library for a moment, all while driving, pressed play and pressed the aux button on her radio. A VERY familiary song started playing and the fact that she liked the same band that I did made me smile. And she started singing it word for word.
And if your heart stops beating,
I'll be here wondering.
Did you get what you deserve?
The ending of your life,
And If you get to heaven,
I'll be here waiting, babe.
Did you get waht you deserve?
The end, and if you rlife won't wait,
Then you rheart can't take this!
I prepared myself and started singing with her once the chorus started.
Have you heard the news that you're dead?
No one ever had much nice to say,
I think they never liked you anywasy.
Oh take me from the hospital bed,
Wouldn't it be grand? It ain't exactly what you planned.
And wouldn't it be great if we were dead?
Ohh dead.
She looked at me and smiled and we kept singing.
Touge-tied and oh so squeamish,
You never fell in love.
Did you get what you deserve?
The ending of your life,
And if you get to heaven,
I'll be here waiting, babe.
Did you get what you deserve?
The end, and if your life won't wait,
Then your heart can't take this!
Have you heard the news that you're dead?
No one ever had much nice to say,
I think they never liked you anywasy.
Oh take me from the hospital bed,
Wouldn't it be grand to take a pistol by the hand?
And wouldn't it be great if we were dead?
And in my honest observation,
During this operation,
Found a complication in your heart.
So long, 'Cause now you've got (now you've got)
Maybe just two weeks to live.
Is that the most the both of you can give?
One, two. One, two, three, four!
LA, LA, LA, LA, LA!
LA, LA, LA, LA, LA, LA!
LA, LA, LA, LA, LA, LA, LA!
Well come on,
LA, LA, LA, LA, LA!
LA, LA, LA, LA, LA, LA!
LA, LA, LA, LA, LA, LA, LA!
Oh motherfucker,
If life ain't just a joke,
Then why are we laughing?
If life ain't just a joke,
Then why are we laughing?
If life ain't just a joke,
Then why are we laughing?
If life ain't just a joke,
Then why am I dead?
DEAD!
I was blown away by her singing. I knew she could sing, obviously, but I never imagined that she could actually sing that good.
She looked at me for a moment, grinning, and said, "I didn't know you could sing Inuyasha."
"Oh, well yeah I guess but I'm not as good as you," I said.
"Are you kidding? You're great!"
"You think so?" I looked at her suprised.
"Yeah! Really great! You have potential to be a lead vocalist like me! Do you have any band experience?"
"Well, no, not really. I play guitar and sing amongst myself but that's pretty much it," I said honestly.
"Well, we're gonna have to play together sometime," she said grinning at me.
"Yeah, we should. I've never played music with anyone before," I said truthfully.
"Really?" she asked.
"Yeah, really," I said.
"Well if you're not doing anything this saturday we can play at your house or my house, whichever you prefer."
"Sure, " I said as we shared a smile.
"Wait a minute! Is this a date? Of course not! What the hell am I thinking? We're just simply hanging out as friends. Nothing more. I could only wish though.."
"Uh, you just pull the handle on the door, Inuyasha and push it up," he said.
I looked back at him confused for a moment then out the window of my door and saw that we were sitting in the parking lot of the middle school. I was so caught up in my inner dialouge that I didn't notice where we were going or even that the car had stopped.
I unbuckled my seat belt and pulled the handle of my door and pushed it up. I hopped out and the unexpected slightly chilly air hit me. I looked up at the sky and the clouds were dark again and a rain drop hit my cheak.
Kagome leaned over, giving a nice view of her chest, and pulled the lever under the seat and let it fold. From there, Souta hopped out, with his game in his hand and slung his back pack over his shoulder.
"By Kagome! By Inuyasha!" he yelled and waved at us as he ran up to a group of boys that looked to be about his age. We waved back and I turned back to Kagome. I felt a couple of raindrops hit my ears and the top of my head.
I pulled the lever and let the seat unfold and got comfortable again before I pulled down my door.
"It got chilly outside fast," she said as she turned around in her seat and grabbed a pull over hoodie and slid it on with ease. I was a little disappointed that her chest and stomach were covered up now but when I noticed what was on her hoodie it made up for it. It was a My Chemical Romance hoodie. And it was exactly like the t-shirt I had on the day before.
I smiled at the perfect girl, happy that she was in my life and layed my head on the headrest of my seat as Kagome drove off to our school.
A song from her phone that I wasn't even paying attention to ended and another VERY familiar song started.
"Oh HELL YES!" I said excidedtly exclaimed.
She smiled at me and said," You like this song that much?"
"It's my favorite," I said calmly.
"Mine too," she said smiling again. And just like before, we were in perfect harmony again.
When I was a young boy,
My father, took me into the city,
To see a marching band.
He said, "Son when you grow up,
would you be the saviour of the broken,
the beaten and the damned?"
He said "Will you defeat them,
your demons, and all the non-believers,
the plans that they have made?"
"Because one day I'll leave you,
A phantom to lead you in the summer,
To join The Black Parade!"
The drummer, Bob Bryar, picked up the song by wailing the perfect rhythm on his set.
When I was a young boy!
My father, took me into the city
To see a marching band!
He said, "Son when you grow up!
Would you be the saviour of the broken,
the beaten and the damned?"
The kick ass guitar in the song started and we were two killjoys in the most amazing bliss of our fabulous lives.
Sometimes I get the feeling she's watching over me.
And other times I feel like I should go.
And through it all, the rise and fall, the bodies in the streets.
And when you're gone we want you all to know.
We'll carry on!
We'll carry on,
And though you're dead and gone believe me,
Your memory will carry on!
We'll carry on,
And in my heart I can't contain it.
The anthem won't explain it!
A world that sends you reeling from decimated dreams.
Your misery and hate will kill us all.
So paint it black and take it back.
Let's shout it loud and clear!
Defiant to the end we hear the call.
To carry on!
We'll carry on,
And though you're dead and gone believe me,
Your memory will carry on.
We'll carry on!
And though you're broken and defeated,
Your weary widow marches!
On and on we carry through the fears,
Ooh, oh, ohhhh!
Disappointed faces of your peers,
Ooh, oh, ohhhh!
Take a look at me cause I could not care at all!
Do or die, you'll never make me,
Because the world will never take my heart!
Go and try, you'll never break me.
We want it all, we wanna play this part!
I won't explain or say I'm sorry!
I'm unashamed, I'm gonna show my scar!
Give a cheer for all the broken!
Listen here, because it's who we are!
I'm just a man, I'm not a hero!
Just a boy, who had to sing this song!
I'm just a man, I'm not a hero!
I! don't! care!
And as the climax of the song hit we both held our fist in the air and practically screamed the rest of the song.
We'll carry on!
We'll carry on!
And though you're dead and gone believe me!
Your memory will carry on!
We'll carry on!
And though you're broken and defeated!
Your weary widow marches on!
Do or die, you'll never make me!
Because the world will never take my heart!
Go and try, you'll never break me!
We want it all, we wanna play this part!
Do or die, you'll never make me!
Because the world will never take my heart!
Go and try, you'll never break me!
We want it all, we'll carry on!
By the time our song ended we had reached our destination and Kagome pulled into a parking spot. She put her car in park and sat there for a moment before saying anything.
"That felt nice," she said.
"Yeah, it sure it did," I said.
"Well, let's go inside!" she said.
She pulled her keys out and put her tiny hand on the handle of her door but didn't go any further. I looked at her and she had a worried look on her face.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"I can't go out there!" she said.
"Why not?" I asked, clearly concerned.
"The rain will ruin my shoes and my Louis Vuitton bag!" she said almost in hysterics as she grabbed her purse from the floor board in the backseat and hugged it to her chest.
I sat there for a moment and then a thought hit me.
"Do you have an umbrella?" I asked her.
"Yeah, but that's not gonna protect my shoes from the puddles everywhere."
"Where's it at?" I asked.
She twisted and grabbed the umbrella from her back seat.
"Right here," she said and handed it to me.
"Okay, I have an idea," I said and pulled my jackets hood over my head and pulled my back pack on my shoulders covering my stomach instead of my back. I pushed my door up and opened the umbrella and stepped out underneath it. I shut my door and ran around to Kagome's side.
I pulled her door up, turned around and bent down to a much lower level with my back facing her.
I looked back at her and said, "Your chariot awaits!"
She smiled and shoved her keys in her purse and took two tiny steps outside her car to push her door down. She then hopped on my back and took control of the umbrella. I held her by the backs of her thighs and couldn't believe how light she was!
She clung to me and held the umbrella over us so perfectly that neither of us were rained on. As we reached the entrance a kid saw us coming and held the door open for us. Kagome hopped off my back, much to my disapointment and shook her umbrella and folded it down. She stuck it in a bin with other umbrellas and turned back to me.
"Quite warm in here isn't it?" she said. "Can you hold my purse for me for a second?"
"Sure," I said and held it for her as she slid off her hoodie, exposing her perfect stomach flaunting a belly ring.
"Thanks!" she said as she took her purse back from me and held her sweater in her arm.
"Are you sure you're not gonna get in trouble wearing that?" I asked gesturing to the top she was wearing that wasn't covering much.
"Oh, don't worry. Like I said yesterday, we don't have much of a dress code here," she said flashing her smile.
"Okay," I said and grinned at her.
"Come on, let's go find Sango and Miroku," she said.
"Okay," I said again as I held the door open for her and we exited the fourier and entered the school, ready to start our day.
