Rin and Lin sat in front of their mother the next morning, quietly eating their breakfast as their mother glared at them. Her arms were folded across her chest and a mug of tea was the only thing in front of her. To the twins, this meant that their mother was beyond mad with them for one reason or another. Unfortunately for them, they both knew the reason why.

"How many times?" their mother asked.

Rin and Lin swallowed the bit of food in their mouths before looking towards the side in thought. Their mother didn't give them much of a chance to answer.

"How many times have me and your father told you?" she said. "You're both too young to reap anyone right now! What made you think that you could go ahead and try last night?!"

"It's because we were with those Z-Loans idiots, Momma!" Rin said. "They would have turned her into one of them if we didn't do something!"

"Lin?" their mother said, looking towards him.

Lin remained silent for a moment or two as he looked toward his mother. She gave him a stare that told him she wanted to hear the truth on what really happened last night. He swallowed a bit of his breakfast while sweating a bit under her stare.

"...It was Rin's idea." Lin said.

"Hey!" Rin exclaimed, glaring at her twin.

"She said that we could try and reap someone since it would give one of us points in the competition." Lin said, "Though, she ended up giving me the job since I'm the only one who knew how."

"Tattletale," Rin muttered, looking away from her brother and crossed her arms while puffing her cheeks.

The glare from their mother grew more intense as she slowly turned red. The kettle that was left on the stove started to whistle in response to this. Rin and Lin saw this and quietly sunk into their seats. Lin grabbed his cup of milk and drank from it while looking at his mother with a frightened look.

"Can't believe we're not allowed to hunt zombies for a month!" Rin exclaimed.

"Hey, keep it down, will you?" Lin said, glaring at Rin.

After breakfast, their mother had taken them to their school before going to her shop. Rin and Lin were currently standing near the wall of the school as the other children played on the playground. Rin crossed her arms and huffed.

"This is all your fault, you know?" she said.

"My fault?!" Lin exclaimed, "What do you mean that it's my fault?!"

"If you hadn't told Momma that it was my idea, we wouldn't have been in so much trouble!" Rin exclaimed.

"Um, we would have if we didn't tell her the truth, Rin." Lin said.

"Hmph, still!" Rin said, turning her back on him.

Lin let out a sigh to how stubborn his sister was being before changing the subject.

"Anyway," he started, "I'm worried about what happened to Nee-san. We left the school before finding out her fate."

"Papa must of reaped her," Rin said, looking over her shoulder at him. "After all, she was dying when we left."

"But I just can't seem to get that idea through my head." Lin said, crossing his arms as well. "It's like….there's something telling me that she's alive still."

"Like zombie alive?" Rin asked, turning back around.

"No…." Lin said. "More like, alive alive."

"Huh?" Rin said, tilting her head. "How's that possible? She looked really bad."

"I know that!" Lin said. "But there's this….feeling that's telling me otherwise."

"Really?" Rin said, crossing her arms once more before smiling a Cheshire smile. "Then we should go look for her."

"But Momma will never allow us," Lin pointed out. "Especially since we're grounded."

"Psh, you are such a goodie two-shoes." Rin said, rolling her eyes at her brother.

"Hey!" Lin exclaimed, pouting at her.

"Momma won't know that we went looking for Nee-san," Rin said as she dug into her bunny themed sweatshirt pocket. "Because we're going right now with the help of this!"

She pulled out a teal colored bottle that was in the shape of a sphere with vine designs on it. Lin's eyes widen when seeing the bottle within his sister's hands. He opened his mouth to say something but Rin quickly covered it with her hand.

"I stole it from Momma when she wasn't looking this morning." Rin said. "Had a feeling we were going to need it, so I swiped it. Now, you're going to keep quiet while I tell you the plan, got it?" Lin nodded his head in response. "Good!" She took her hand off of his mouth before speaking again. "One of us drinks this and goes to the front. They make up a story about having to pick us up early and as the teacher comes to get us, the one still younger plays double. They first come out as themselves before going out to "wait" for their sibling, then they make a circle as their sibling, got it?"

"You mean come back around as the other, right?" Lin said.

"If you're going to correct me, then you be the younger one!" Rin said with a glare.

"But….you're wearing a skirt!" Lin said.

"Exactly!" Rin said, "There's an extra one in my backpack for you."

"You planned this along, didn't you?" Lin asked, glaring at Rin.

Rin just gave him a Cheshire smile before opening the bottle and drinking the liquid inside. "I'll see you in a bit, brother~!" she said before sneaking to the front.

Lin let out a groan as he stood in the playground, waiting for his sister's plan to take action.

You'll see what they look like older later on, don't worry.
