I've been watching the iammathewian project videos and sort of got a decent idea. Pretty cracktastic and involves the American states and Canadian territories & provinces being characters. Okay, on with the show. Just so you know, I'm from Nebraska, so I know a thing or two about it. I'm not stereotyping, I'm telling what I know.
Foreign land. Something she had never come across. Not even foreign ideas reached very far into her land. Her feet landed on the snowy ground. Even though she had some crazy weather, snow in June was a sight to behold. Not here though. For one week he'd said, one week or so. Some politics needed reworking and they might affect them. He wouldn't be able to deal with fifty of them, fifty people who relied on him, possibly sick. He'd sent them away to people he trusted, just in the scenario one did get sick, someone would be able to help. She'd need to spend a week in a situation that she'd never been in, without the other 49 states.
"Have a nice time, Nebraska. I'm sure Canada will take good care of you." America reassured her. "I'm going to send off the rest of your siblings. They'll be safe, I promise, but I can't send all fifty of you to one person. Have a nice week!" Nebraska nodded. She'd enjoy her week.
"Hey, Nebraska, can I talk to you for a second?" America called.
"Sure." Nebraska nodded.
One of the fifty states, Nebraska, was a younger sibling to America. Just like Quebec to Canada.
"Now I know that your place is very *ahem* bi-polar when it comes to weather. So, since it's summer, I thought you'd want to spend some time somewhere colder!" America suggested.
"What are you saying?" Nebraska questioned.
"You wouldn't mind staying at Canada's for a while? About a week or so?" America reasoned.
"What's going on?" Nebraska pressed. America didn't send the states away very often. Only when big things happened and he couldn't take care of them.
"Some... stuff needs reworking. If you get sick, I can't ensure I can help. I'm just going to send you to my brothers, just a week, okay?" America explained.
"You know..." Nebraska started. "Since I'm not near any international borders or oceans, I've never left the country."
"Not even for vacation!" America seemed shocked.
"It's expensive enough as it is to get to another state, imagine needing to cross an entire half of a country just as the shortest trip. We're pretty thickly land locked." Nebraska stated. "It'll be fun to meet someone from outside!"
"Glad you're enthusiastic!" America cheered.
She knocked on the door gently but loudly. The door creaked open and a familiar face appeared at the door.
"I was told you looked like America. But, you really are identical twins!" she blurted. "O-oh I-I'm so s-sorry! I didn't meen to-" she stuttered, covering her mouth with her mittened hand.
"It's no big deal. At least you know were different." Canada replied. "Come sit down. The territories and provinces are also here! There'll be 15 of us for a while now, the thirteen territories & provinces, me, and you!" Nebraska nodded and smiled.
Nebraska is possibly based off of me for I've never left the country. And it's actually like that, no matter what direction you're going, North, East, South, West, it's going to be an amazing trek before you reach any foreign land.
