A/N: Warning for possible dark themes.
Bright lights burnt against his eyes, as John opened them. A steady beeping, in the background, reminding him that he was in the hospital. The hospital was so clean, John realised. He'd heard about them, but had never actually been in one. The people, working here were kind too. The man, who came in was nice, he gave Sherlock and him privacy as well. His accent was funny. As thoughts scattered John's head, he smiled. He had never heard a person's voice like that before. John felt something in his hand, so he turned his head. He smiled, Sherloc-no his Dad's hand, (he had to remind himself) was gripping relying onto his palm. John gazed up at him, John saw that his...dad's head was bowed down and quiet snoring filled his ears. If he held onto his hand, it meant that he cared and he didn't want that feeling to ever go away.
Then he saw the door open, the kind man was there. The one with the funny voice.
"Good morning, John."
"...Good-good morning...errr" Then John started coughing, and James pushed the button, that made the bed go upright. After a while John stopped.
"You alright?"
"Ye-yep." John's throat felt like an inferno was occurring in his throats and ribs.
"Here." James handed him a drink of water. "Small sips."
After all the water had gone, John smiled and his breath filled the atmosphere,
"Thanks, umm."
"My name's James and your welcome." His smiled filled his face, like a Cheshire cat. James then turned to observe Sherlock. "He must be tired." James neck twisted a bit, as if he was trying to see all of Sherlock "He's going to hurt his neck in that position." He smiled a bit, then went over to check John's medication.
"This should help stop your ribs from feeling a burning pain."
"Thank yo..." James interuppted him,
"You don't need to say thank you, this is my job."
"Nobody has, well, helped-helped me this much before-before..."
"Hmm well that is obvious." James turned to look at Sherlock, making sure he was still asleep and then at John. For the first time John saw something within him...and it wasn't nice. James looked at John's arms.
"She really wasn't a professional, was she?" James spoke suddenly. His voice going higher. His smile getting even wider. John's face instantly fell, replaced with panic,
"What-what?"
James chuckled,
"Dear old mother wasn't that good. She could have burnt you, at your pressure points. She could have cut you, where it hurt the most." James's smile fell, as he got closer. "It's a good thing I didn't hire her."
John's breathing increased. As James turned his head to Sherlock,
"Do you know what I did to him? Johnny boy?" John was now hyperventilating and was coming close to a very severe panic attack. James suddenly gripped John's chin and forced his head to look at Sherlock. James whispered in John's ear,
"He wanted to stay awake for so long. Just for you. I gave him a coffee and of course, put a very strong sedative in it." James stared longingly, "He's so gorgeous, isn't he?" James then looked at John, let go of his chin,
"Oh the little doggy's having a whittle panic attack." James starting laughing. As he walked over to Sherlock.
He bent down, pulled up Sherlock's head almost lovingly. Then he slapped him again, again and again till Sherlock semi opened his eyes.
"Good morning, handsome."
Sherlock groaned and tried to get up.
"Oh no no no no, you're fine just here." James pushed him back down and lifted up a knife. It seemed to gleam as James swiped Sherlock's forehead with the malicious animal. Then he pressed the knife against Sherlock's rib cage. He swiped a line top to bottom against his ribs. It wasn't deep, so Sherlock's death would not be blood loss. However it hurt nonetheless. As Sherlock groaned in pain, James stopped. Sherlock couldn't even fight him.
"Remember Sherlock, always choose your head over your heart." James sang, as he gazed back at John. He stood up and walked to the door. Before exiting, he sighed,
"And I had such good faith in you not being boring." Then James smiled and stared at Sherlock, "Until the next time Sherlock Holmes." He left, causing the door to make a commotion on the way out.

It's just because I found out I'm going to the Harry Potter Studios! Woo hoo! This means that I'm binge reading all the books and binge watching all the films. Also I have my driving theory test in a couple of weeks. So please forgive me, if I do not update as quickly as I have been updating.
