Author's Notes: Second chapter! I already know how this fic will end, the middle's part the problem though. It's always a struggle, yes?

"Momoi-san."

Exhaling a sharp breathe of surprise, Satsuki turned to her left to see Tetsu standing nonchalantly. Even after all these years, the Phantom Sixth Man still hasn't lost his, erm, lack of presence. The pale haired male quietly took the seat across her and calmly skimmed the café's menu.

"Tetsu-kun, you haven't changed." Satsuki smiled, "You still manage to catch me by surprise."

Tetsu smiled across her in a sheepish way, "Yes, well, it doesn't always work well."

The pinkette grinned as she sipped her juice, "Your students, I presume?"

After graduating high school and even almost completely leaving basketball, Tetsuya entered college to pursue education. Even with minor mishaps and struggles along the way, he managed to earn his degree and is now teaching at a pre-school in their district.

Tetsu just smiled, not wanting to relieve the multitude of times when at least one of his students cried out of fear after he apparently just 'manifested' out of thin air.

Soon, the waiter had brought them their order of confectionaries and drinks and the two old friends conversed about nothing and everything throughout the meal. Patting his mouth with a napkin, Tetsu observed Satsuki quietly. It wasn't odd of her to invite him out to lunch during their free days; however, he couldn't help but feel that something was out of place.

Okay, so maybe she looked a little tired, but that wasn't unusual what with her being a data analyst. She wasn't looking thin either, if anything, -Tetsu will never say this outloud, he had learned – she was looking… round. It was when Tetsu glanced at her plate only to see that she was picking at her strawberry shortcake did he confirmed that something was indeed wrong.

"Momoi-san, is there something bothering you?" he asked, concerned.

Satsuki bit her lip, then covered it with a smile. "No, of course not. I just, well…"

Tetsu raised an expecting eyebrow and sighed, "Is this about Aomi—" The male stopped abruptly when he saw the tensed shoulders of his companion, how stupid of him to ask.

Fidgeting in her seat, Satsuki almost regret meeting up with Tetsu, because what will this solve? Sighing, well, it will help lessen the load, at least metaphorically. "It's Akashi-kun, actually."

Tetsu leaned back to his seat, slightly caught off guard. The former members of the Generation of Miracles were all in speaking and friendly terms, although not regularly and as far as he knew, the last time any of them had any contact with their former captain was… what? A year ago?

Deciding to go along with it until Satsuki was ready to talk, "Ah, how is Akashi-ku-?"

"—he asked me to marry him."

"What."

Endnotes: Okay, so I love KuroMomo brotp too. And I hope I kept him in character, but maybe then not since he's older and whatever. And as I've said, short fast chapter update, oui?
