Rebekah Mikaelson hated prison life. She'd been there for six years and it was driving her crazy. Most of the other girls were either tough girls or hookers which didn't bode well for her. There has been many time when girl's would look at her in a less then saintly manner. The food tasted like dog vomit and the guards were all brutes who started at her in the shower. The awful thing was that she was in for life. She couldn't handle it. If she didn't escape then she'd might as well die.
"Move Ladies!" the tough, obese, lady guard shouted at her.
They were moving from the food hall to their cells to be locked up for the night. Every girl in here was a cold blooded killer. Including her. Rebekah hadn't made any friends yet at because she couldn't stand any of them. Her old cell mate (the lucky bitch) had served her sentence as was released the day before and they told her that she was getting a new cell mate. When she got in she discovered that her new companion was already there. She looked Greek and had long dark hair and she was deeply beautiful. There was an exotic element about her that she imagined would draw men in.
"You must be the new girl" Rebekah guessed.
"I am" she confirmed, "My name is Qetsiyah"
"And what are you in for?" Rebekah wondered.
"Murdering my boyfriend and that slut he cheated me with" Qetsiyah said with passion, "There's no need to tell me who you are, you're quite the celebrity"
"Of course I am" Rebekah shrugged like it was old news, "How long have they put you away for?"
"30 years" Qetsiyah told her, "So it looks like I'm going to be here for a while"
...
Kol suddenly woke up from a horrific dream. He'd dreamt that he was a vampire who tried to kill his room mate and some girl he'd never seen. He remembers that water hitting him and boiling his skin like acid. They then staked him and he cried out in pain and he shot up into flames. Why would he dream that?
"Open cell 4b...open!" came the usual chant of the guards as his cell swung open.
Jeremy Gilbert was already up and ready to start the day with that stupid positive grin that he always seems to be wearing. That Bennett cow will be meeting with him today to getting the information about Elijah. Kol felt guilty about betraying his brother but it was worth it to keep seeing his son. Seeing him gave him hope for a brighter future. He may be stuck in here until he's an old man but at least he'd see his son every week. So the future didn't look as hopeless as it used to.
...
When Bonnie Bennett entered the office that day she was in for a big surprise. Her boss called her in to talk to her. She had an appointment that she couldn't miss if she wanted to catch Elijah. Her boss, Mr Jameson looked at her sympathetically as she came in. Bonnie noticed another man in the room. He looked around her age and he had brown hair and looked slightly handsome.
"I'm so sorry Bonnie but you've been taken off the Mikaelson case" her boss told her, "Special Agent Salvatore will be taking it from here"
Bonnie had never felt so insulted. She hadn't done that much of a bad job to be taken off the case. Kol and Rebekah Mikaelson were behind bars. She'd caught Klaus, Elijah and Meredith but they'd escaped. It was the system's fault and not hers! Nobody knew them she did. The case was her life what was she supposed to do now?
"Klaus, Elijah and Meredith have been on the run for a long time and we haven't gotten any closer to finding them. They're all making us look like fools and that can't continue. This is why I think it's best that Stefan Salvatore takes over the case" the boss explained.
Stefan had quit the Police Force a long time ago and settled in the FBI. He's the one that rounded up Jeremy Gilbert and the other members of the five. The FBI loved his ability to get results quickly and efficiently. He was the golden boy of the office and he was getting more and more interesting and complicated cases and now they were giving him the case that most agents would kill for.
"What will I work on now?" Bonnie demanded.
"Nothing" the boss said, "You will be taking a paid sabbatical...say six months would do. Get some rest and focus on you before you can rejoin us. We're all worried about you and we think that you need a break"
Bonnie didn't know what to say. She was a workaholic, she die if she wasn't working.
"But-" Bonnie began.
"Our decision is final" her boss said kindly, "You really are one of the best agents in years but your only human and everybody needs a break"
Bonnie left is office with her eyes threatening the stream with tears. She called Damon on her mobile because she felt the need for comfort.
...
This was the worst time to be expecting another baby. Caroline started down at the pregnancy test before sighing deep despair. Great, another child to lie to and to be raised on the run. Panic and fear infected her heart and soul at the thought of her life. How had it come to this? She had a promising career and a happy life with great friends (apart from Elena and Meredith). Now she was pregnant and on the run. She did love Klaus and would never leave him but she hated all the extra's he brought will him.
She came out of the motel bathroom to tell Klaus the news and found him reading a newspaper while their son played with his games console. There was a sudden knock a the door and all three heads snapped to attention. Klaus put down his newspaper and looked into the peephole in the door. He looked surprised and pleased before he opened the door revealing his brother, Elijah and Elena. The brothers haven't seen each other since the empire collapsed. They sized each other up like rivals but then embraced like brothers.
"I seen you've been busy brother" Elijah said breathlessly, looking at his nephew.
"And this is the bitch who tried to kill me" Klaus glared at Elena.
"Well you did kill my parents" Elena argued before turning to Caroline wearing a spiteful glare, "Hello Caroline"
Elena and Caroline hadn't parted on the best of terms. When Elena lied to her and Caroline married the man who killed her parents.
"Hello Elena" Caroline smiled and fake smile, "If Elena is even your real name"
Poor Henrik had no idea what was going on. Who were these people? Why did that man call his father brother? How many uncles has he got anyway? Why were his mother and that lady looking at each other with hatred. None of it made any sense.
"Who are these people Daddy?" he asked Klaus.
"Caroline can you take him downstairs for something to eat. I need to catch up with Elijah" Klaus suggested.
"OK" Caroline agreed, ushering her son along.
"I'll come with you" Elena decided, following mother and son out of the door.
Elijah sat on Henrik's bed while Klaus sat on his. Klaus was relieved to see his brother at this time of crisis. No matter what had happened between them. They were still brothers and that meant everything to him. They last survivors of their once, great family. Now, Mikael and Esther were dead. Kol and Rebekah were in prison and Finn was as much as the family pariah as he always was.
"How have you been Nicklaus?" Elijah asked tenderly.
"Rebekah helped me escape from the nut house but then they got caught. I went to France and settled down. I'd heard that you were in Europe as well" Klaus told him.
"Elena was hiding me in Bulgaria" Elijah answered, "I've been running an antiques store ever since but then I got rumbled so I had to leave"
Klaus nodded, not knowing what to say.
"What's my nephew's name?" Elijah wondered.
"Henrik" Klaus said, "I saw Finn and he wanted to make peace"
Elijah looked at him in surprise, that was something he wasn't expecting. Finn had always hated their guts.
"Are you sure?" Elijah doubted.
"Yes, he's getting married to a girl called Sage" Klaus smiled faintly.
Elijah decided to clear the air between himself and his half-brother.
"I don't hate you for leaving me in prison when the others tried to stay and help me" Elijah promised, "I understand"
...
Meredith had her bags packed and she was ready to go. She wasn't staying at Enzo's mansion a moment longer. Nadia had been no help whatsoever and she's been stuck there for God knows how long when she could of been looking for her son. Nothing else matter but finding him. When she'd finished Enzo himself strutted across the room and raised one eyebrow when he saw the suitcase on her bed.
"Going somewhere sweetheart?" Enzo scoffed.
"I'm going to find my son which is something I should have done weeks ago" Meredith yelled at her host.
"If you want to find your son then I suggest you listen to me" Enzo teased, "I know where your son is"
Hope and joy overwhelmed her. Is her six year dream going to come true?
"Where?" Meredith asked desperately.
"Your son is being held at a FBI safe-house that I have the address to. Apparently Kol's already met his son. He made a deal with agent Bennett to see his son in exchange for information"
Kol met their son first. She almost toppled over at the thought as jealousy took root in her. She needed to keep him away from him and the sooner that she can catch her son, the better for both of them. Meredith grabbed her suitcase and looked at Enzo expectantly.
"What's the address?" Meredith demanded.
Enzo let out his usual heartless laugh.
"You can't go on your own" Enzo told her, "I'm going with you"
...
"Ladies! You are all welcome to our therapy group session" The Doctor smiled and then turned to Qetsiyah I understand that this is your first time, Qetsiyah"
"Yes" Qetsiyah nodded with no enthusiasm.
"My name is Dr Silberman" he said like he was talking to a child.
They were in a group of five today. There was Rebekah, Qetsiyah, Erin Johnston who poisoned her parents because they refused to pay for her new car. Linda May who robbed her local bank with her boyfriend and then shot him. Then finally, Tammy Ricci who used to forge paintings. All five women were looking at the Dr with hated. No one liked this Doctor because he treated you like you were still in nursery which irritated everyone. Prisoners and guards alike.
"Would anyone like to share?" he pressed.
There was a silence around the room. No one ever felt like sharing when he was around.
"How about the new girl?" he asked, looking at Qetsiyah.
Qetsiyah answered him in a babyish and degrading voice which made the others laugh.
"No, have you got anything you want to share babypo?" she laughed.
Dr Silberman blushed at the blatant disrespect of his technique and took an instant dislike to the girl. He frowned and didn't push it.
"Has anybody got anything they want to share?" he asked, making a last ditch effort.
Again, no one replied. It really was the strangest thing that when he took this group; no one said anything. I really was quite a mystery.
When they left Rebekah caught up with Qetsiyah. Having her respect for her grow immensely.
"You'll fit in here fine" she told her.
...
Kol was expecting Bonnie to come through the door that morning but to his surprise; a man he's never seen before came in. He had brown hair and had a steely, judgmental gaze fixed on it's criminal target. The man sat down with his expensive suit and FBI badge placed so everybody could see it.
"Where is Agent Bennett?" Kol asked.
"On leave" he shrugged, "I'm taking over from now on. My name is Special Agent Salvatore and I understand that you made a deal with my college regarding your son"
Kol took and instant dislike to the man. He had a shifty look about him that set him on edge. Salvatore's smile seemed cold and maybe a little ruthless. Stefan's got a reputation at the FBI for being just that; they call him the 'Ripper'.
"Yes" Kol nodded, "We agreed that I'd tell her all about Elijah in exchange for weekly visits from my son"
"Then you have to hold up your end of the bargain" Salvatore said, "Tell us what you know about Elijah Mikaelson"
...
A car was driving down the motorway, towards a distant destination. Inside this car were a very dysfunctional family. In the front there was Klaus who was driving. Relieved that his brother was with him and anxious about the future (especially with a new baby on the way). Next to him was his wife the disgraced therapist, Caroline. She was mad at the woman seated in the back and frustrated with her situation. The person sitting at the back and on the right was Elena Petrova who felt safer in a large group but was certain that it would end in tears. She hated that she's now joined forces with the man who killed her parents and the bitch who left her to die. In the centre was that poor and confused boy, Henrik. What was happening? He had no clue. And why was everybody calling his father Klaus? None of it made any sense. Next to him on the left was Elijah Mikaelson. He too felt relieved at being reunited with his brother but like his sister-in-law. he felt sick and tired of always being on the run.
What an unhappy group they were. The group were was silent as the dead, as they approached Spain. Klaus and Elijah had a few contacts there who could maybe give them shelter for a while. Everyone in the family felt on edge and worried about the future. Henrik didn't know why everyone was on edge so he decided to ask.
"What's up with everyone?" he asked innocently.
His family ignored him as they didn't know what to say but the former Bulgarian agent spoke up.
"We're all anxious because your father and your uncle are on the run" Elena told the five-year-old.
Klaus looked like he was about to rip her head off. Caroline look pissed off and Elijah looked surprised. But none of their reactions matched up to the little one in the back. Surprise and confusion merged in his face.
"Why are they on the run?" he wondered.
"Because your father is America's Most Wanted and your Uncle is runner up" Elena told him.
"ELENA!" Caroline yelled.
"What?" she shrugged, "The kid had to know. He was going to find out later on anyway"
"I wanted to tell him myself!" Klaus roared.
"Why is he on that list?" Henrik asked the only person who seems to be telling him the truth.
"Because he's a mass murder and a mafia boss" Elena snapped spitefully.
"HE'S WHAT!" Henrik cried in panic.
Klaus parked the car at the side of the road and got out the car. He opened Elena's door and roughly tugged her out. Elijah ran up to them and stood in-between them. Caroline told Henrik to stay in the car and then got out to assist her husband.
"Why did you do that!" Klaus roared.
"Why should I grant you any mercies?" Elena spat, "You killed my parents and left me with that thug of yours to torture me!"
Elena and Klaus were looking at each other with heated and mutual hatred. Caroline and Elijah eyes met and the knew that they'd have to work together to achieve peace.
"Klaus! Let her go!" Elijah demanded.
He wouldn't let her go.
"Your son is in the car!" Caroline brought him back to earth.
His son was looking at him like he was some sort of monster. Shame and guilt hit him like a bomb. Klaus let got of Elena but was still looking at her with hatred.
"If we are going to survive" Elijah began, "We need to learn how to get along"
Everyone nodded their heads.
"We're all in this together" Elijah reminded them, "We must bury all of our old vendetta's and hatreds. We must all be allies because we are all we've got left"
These five people only had each other in the world of enemies looking to bring them down. The people standing before them are their only shots. Reluctantly they all agreed and buried their hatred...for now at least.

Davina was walking down the street towards her house. The frosty coldness of November had hit New York hard. There were traces of Christmas in the shopping windows and the posters and adverts that you saw in every street. She was very much looking forward to drinking a nice warm cup of tea and a juicy chicken dinner that Camie had promised her that night. She loved her small family as Camie was so good to her and good for Marcel.
There was a big black van parked outside their home that had a threatening presence and a dark atmosphere around it. Davina ignored this van and carried on down the street. She didn't notice when a few men came out of it and followed her down the street. But after a while she noticed that the men seemed to be following her. She quickened her steps but they seemed to be quicken too. They caught her while she screamed for help. The men quickly gagged her and shoved her into the van. The gag was taken off to reveal her surroundings.
The van was moving at top speed once they were all in. Before her was a man who looked in charge of the operation. He had dark brown eyes and black hair and looked European.
"Don't worry little girl" he smiled, "We'll take good care of you"
Then someone injected her with a needle and then Davina collapsed unconscious on the floor. The man in front of her was Markos Augustine; Enzo's brother.
