The clock that hung on Marcel's wall stuck 10. Davina was 2 hours late for dinner and he was getting worried. He'd sent her four text messages and he'd tried to ring her twice but to no avail. The dinner that had been so lovely prepared by Camie was now stone cold. Marcel had many enemies so naturally he expected the worst. Fear and paranoia spread through his mind.

"I'm going to go and look for her" Marcel announced.

"She's properly just round a friend's house and forgot to call" Camie shrugged.

Marcel wasn't going to take that chance.

"I'll give you a ring if I find her" he promised as he put on his coat.

But Marcel wasn't going to find her, for she was miles away by now. Davina was currently in a van, just entering Philadelphia. A man called Markos was watching her with interest. Markos Augustine was Enzo's younger brother by three years. He isn't as successful as his older sibling but he too is in crime. Markos is a useful man who finds things that need finding and usually for important people. The girl in front of him was soundly asleep but he noticed that she was beautiful.

But suddenly sleeping beauty started to wake up.

Davina didn't know where she was a first. Was she in a van? Why was she in a van? Then her vision started to clear and she saw that there was a man looking at her. The memory of being kidnapped suddenly hit her like a sledge-hammer. What was she going to do? Why did they even want her?

"What do you want with me!" she shouted.

"Be quiet child" Markos sneered.

Davina kicked and screamed and desperately tried to escape but to no avail. They drugged her again so she fell fast asleep. Markos thought to himself that this job was going to be more fun than he thought. He decided to call his brother now that the charge wasn't conscious. He brought out his phone and pressed speed dial 7 to hear his elder brother's concerned tones.

"Did you get her?" Enzo asked.

"She's sleeping soundly" Markos told Enzo.

"Good. Bring her in immediately" Enzo ordered.

Kol didn't know what to pick. Should he have the oily lasagne that was drowning in its own fat or should he have the pie that was completely burnt though? There was a long line of prisoners waiting for their 'food' but Kol really didn't know what to pick. In the end he decided that fatty lasagne was the winner. The old dinner lady who looked like she could handle herself in a fight ungracefully slopped a slice on his plate. He really hatred prison.

Kol sat down where he usually sat, by himself near the door. He didn't like to mix with the other prisoners, they annoyed him and they usually knew better than to sit on his table at dinner. But this guy obviously hadn't got the memo. He had brown going on black hair and looked in his early thirties. Kol reasoned he must be new because his face was unfamiliar. Everyone else looked at him like he was a fool and that he was.

"Have you not wondered why no one else is sitting here?" Kol asked with his tone oozing of menace.

"Because your Kol Mikaelson" the man shrugged.

"Leave" Kol urged.

The man didn't seemed threatened by this; in fact he smiled. Kol took an instant dislike to the man.

"I have a message for you" he whispered so only they could hear.

Hope implanted itself in his mind. Was it Klaus? Or better yet was it Meredith coming to save him and get him out of this hell hole.

"From who?" Kol whispered back.

"It's from your Father"

Surprise and confusion stuck him at once. The old fear of his father crept up like a spider from his subconscious. His father made him look practically moral. But why should he be afraid? His father was dead, he died years ago. This man must be insane.

"My father is dead" Kol corrected him.

"Your father faked his death" the man grinned.

Faked? How is that possible? He saw the body himself so he must be dead. This makes no sense whatsoever. Why would his father hide for years only to resurface for some unknown reason?

"What are you talking about?" Kol spat.

"Your father faked his death because he knew that the FBI and Scotland Yard were on to him. So he staged his death and has since been staying at a house in China. Mikael is very much alive and I know that because I've have seen him myself" the man told him.

"What is the message?" Kol wondered.

"He will help you get out of here because he wants it all back. Mikael wants to rebuild the empire. He also told me to tell you that he was happy to hear that he's got a Grandson and he promises to reunite you both. At the moment he's trying to track down the others and he's got people in place to spring Rebekah. All he needs in return is your loyalty"

The hope and bloomed into a dream. Could all this truly be possible?

"How do I know this is the truth?" Kol asked.

"He thought you might say that so he told me to tell you that when you were five, you broke into his office and when he found you he told you to focus those skills onto something useful" the man said.

Only Kol and his father knew that story. It must be his father then. Maybe things will be alright in the end.

"What's your name?" Kol demanded.

"Logan Fell" he answered.

"Logan Fell, tell my father that he has my support and loyalty"

The five were currently eating at a Spanish run-down restaurant. Elijah and Elena sat together at one end and Klaus and Caroline on the other with little Henrik between them. It was almost half past ten at night and the five were staying at a third-world motel just outside Cadiz. It was just them and a Spanish family eating. A man was playing a sorrowful tune on his guitar and the barmaid was eyeing up Elijah but he didn't appear to have noticed.

"We can't keep running forever" Elena sighed, "We have to find an alternative solution"

"I agree" Klaus said, "But what? Wherever we go they will find us"

"We could fake our deaths" Caroline suggested.

"What all five of us at once?" Elijah reasoned, "They'd never swallow it"

"It's more effective than you think" came a voice from behind them.

They all looked around to see a young woman who was roughly 20 years old. She had long blond hair and crystal blue eyes. The woman was very beautiful and she sounded American.

"Who are you?" Klaus demanded.

"I am someone with a proposition"

Kol's son, Mikael was playing in the garden. He was excited because this time tomorrow; he'd be seeing his Dad again. Mikael loved his father and was looking forward to meeting him. He only called Kol 'Dad' inside his head though because his adoptive father would be hurt if he did. His adoptive parents were inside the house so they didn't see a man approach their son. The man looked at least twenty with blond hair and a friendly face. This man was called Luke and his master had given him a job to do. Abduct the grandson and take him to him. His sister, Liv was sent to get Klaus, Elijah, Caroline, Elena and Henrik. Mikael told him to handle the kid.

Mikael turned round and saw the intruder and started to scream but Luke muffled his cries by holding some cloth that was soaked in chloroform. The kid fought at first but then he easily drifted off into a deep sleep. Before John and Jenna could get there, Luke and the kid had already drifted off.

Where should she go? Bonnie had ten brochures of holiday destinations all laid out on her coffee table. All advertising destinations like Paris, London, Spain, Turkey and other exotic places. Bonnie has been going crazy with boredom. She was the kind of person who always has to be doing something, she can't just sit on the couch. Damon had become a person that she could always rely on. He told her that this sabbatical will be healthy for her. Damon suggested a holiday for her to be able to relax.

Bonnie had always wanted to visit Spain. Plenty of heat and it was filled with history, bustling towns and beautiful beaches. She smiled at her choice and started looking through the deals. It was just going to be her and Spain on that holiday. No stress, no work and especially no Mikaelson's.

The Hotel in Cadiz looked good…

"What proposition is this?" Klaus questioned the girl in front of him.

They were at the bar and the Spanish family had cleared out. It was the sort of place that makes a graveyard look cherry. The barmaid looked upon the scene with interest while she half-heartedly cleaned the glasses. The guitarist chose another mournful tune giving the bar an eerie atmosphere.

"A proposition from your Father" she smiled smugly.

Elijah and Klaus' jaws both dropped in shock. They looked like someone had just told them that the apocalypse was coming. Their eyes bulged out of their sockets in fear. Henrik couldn't understand his Father's reaction. Who was Mikael? Caroline and Elena just looked confused.

"I thought Mikael was dead" Elena pointed out.

"He faked his death" she shrugged, "He's been living in China ever since"

Klaus and Elijah still hadn't recovered the ability to speak yet, they were both still in shock so Caroline spoke up instead.

"How is that possible?" Caroline asked.

"The FBI and Scotland Yard were onto him. They wanted to deport him back to England and then throw him into one of their prisons but he managed to get out. But now he wants to reunite the family and rebuild the empire" she smiled at the vision.

It was Elena and Caroline's turn to be shocked into silence but the men suddenly found their voices.

"Why is he offering us this now?" Klaus snapped.

"Because now he's ready to take back what is his. He's already contacted Kol and Rebekah and their both on board. He sent my brother to capture your nephew so that we can all be reunited" she announced.

Klaus sat down a moment to think.

"Who are you?" Elijah asked, "How do we know we can trust you?"

"Because I'm your half-sibling; apart from Klaus'. Mikael is my father, when he was married he had an affair which made twins. My name is Liv" she revealed.

"Mikael never mentioned you" Elijah pointed out.

"He doesn't mention a lot of things" Liv countered.

"How do we know this isn't all lies and you're not an uncover agent!" Klaus yelled.

"I thought you might say that" Liv smirked.

She brought out an IPAD from her bag and used a video link. Suddenly the image of their father appeared on the screen. Elijah and Klaus looked shocked at the confirmation of their fears. He looked like their father but he looked different. Mikael looked like he'd been ill recently and that he's lost a lot of weight in a very short space of time. His hair was now pure white and more wrinkles lined his face. But there was no mistaking the evil glint in his eyes or the threating way he held himself.

"Hello, my sons" he boomed, his voice as intimidating as ever.

Klaus couldn't believe it. He didn't know how to reply for a few moments but Elijah beat him to it.

"You led us to believe that you were dead" Elijah said.

"I had no choice" Mikael defended himself, "But let's not discuss the past. My daughter Liv has put to you my proposal?"

"Yes, I have" Liv confirmed looking slightly smug.

"What is your answer?" Mikael pressed.

Klaus didn't know how to answer. All of this was so overwhelming. What should he do? All he knew what that he was sick and tired of being on the run. This could be the chance he's always dreamed of. Not in some foreign country and far from home but where he calls home. There was only one answer to that question.

"Yes" Klaus nodded, "What do you say Elijah?"

Elijah was conflicted, his father was not to be trusted. Mikael was dangerous and unreliable but it did seem like their only chance for escape. The authorities will catch them eventually and he had no intention of going back to prison.

"I agree" Elijah agreed.

Caroline wasn't sure about this new plan. She didn't what her son to be raised in crime and eventually take over. The thought of Henrik becoming a gangster filled her with dread and repulsion. She didn't want the empire to be rebuilt.

"Klaus" Caroline interrupted, "Can we talk in private?"

"Sure" Klaus promised, "We'll be back soon"

They went outside where the sky had turned inky black and there was a chill in the air. The hairs on Caroline's arm stood to attention having left her jacket inside but the cold was the last thing on her mind.

"Are you sure about this?" Caroline rounded on him.

"We have no choice Caroline" Klaus explained, "We both know that the police will catch me and Henrik will grow up without a father. If we had any other option, you know that I would take it but there isn't"

Caroline understood why he had to except Mikael's offer. It's not like they were going to get a better one. But there was still something bothering her.

"If we do this I want you to make me a promise" Caroline said.

"What promise?" Klaus asked.

"I want you to promise me that Henrik will not be dragged into the family business. Promise me that he'll have no part in it" Caroline offered.

"I agree" Klaus nodded, "Henrik will have no part in it"

...

When Davina woke up again, she was in a cell. The cell was old fashioned because it looked like she was in a Medieval Castle. Around her wrists were chains that bolted her to the hard stone wall. The only evidence of any modern life was the big brother camera that was aimed at her and the touch key lock on her cell. Panic and fear all erupted at once. Why did these people want her? She's done nothing to them.

Suddenly she heard the door opening and her kidnapper came inside. The man looked extremely pleased with the situation. He bent his knees to her level and smirked and cocky smirk.

"Look whose awake" Markos said.

Davina spat in his eyes and began yelling for help. He rolled his eyes and annoyance and wiped the spit from his eyes with a tissue.

"No one will hear you" he promised, "There is no one for miles"

"There's no one around for miles? That's such a cliché!" Davina spat.

Markos merely chuckled at his hostage.

"But very true" he smiled, "Your not going anywhere"

"Why do you want me!" Davina yelled.

"You will prove very useful in trapping Marcel" Markos told his young hostage.

Davina gave her jailor a confused look. What has Marcel got to do with this?

"Why do you want Marcel?" Davina questioned.

Markos laughed at her ignorance which earned him a burning look from Davina. How dare this man laugh at her?

"You really don't know anything do you?" he said before he left, leaving her to her dark and troubling thoughts.

...

Meredith and Enzo arrived back at the mansion. It turned out that her son's already been taken. Grief and despair infected her being. When will she finally see her son? She panged for her child. He was the whole reason she'd escaped from prison in the first place. Meredith grabbed a bottle of wine and drowned it; thinking about how she'd fallen so low. The reason could be explained in two little words: Kol Mikaelson.

Enzo was no far behind her and he was looking at her with a tiny trace of sympathy. He couldn't imagine being separated from his kid. Her pain was indescribable. Meredith sat down on the sofa and Enzo joined her.

"Your welcome to finish off that bottle of wine" Enzo offered.

"Thanks" Meredith smiled sadly and continued to drown the wine, "I must find him. I've got too"

"I know" Enzo agreed.

There was a tense moment when no one spoke. An awkwardness filled the air and possessed them both. Enzo placed his hand on hers and looked deep into her eyes. A question lay between them. Enzo was married but her morals went out the window as she drowned in misery. Meredith kissed him and he kissed her back with equal vigour. They continued violently and desperately exploring each other's body's.

Enzo led Meredith into his room and laid her on the bed. He was just about to take her top off when the sound of his phone rang on the night stand. They both ignored it's shrill sounds as the began to take each other's clothes off. But with the phone unanswered, the person calling decided to leave a message for all to hear.

"Hi Enzo" came the sound of a young woman, "It's Katherine Petrova. I'm still cooling off from that wild night we had last night and I hope you'll call me when your wife's gone shopping or something. What a drab little life she leads. Well I'll see you soon. Call me!"

Meredith froze and gave Enzo and furious look. Enzo looked like a child whose hand's been caught in the cookie jar. Meredith let out a cry of disgust and pushed him off of her. Enzi let out a groan of protest.

"Come on Meredith!" he pleaded.

"I'm going to my own room" Meredith said sharply.

...

The airport was busy in the middle of the afternoon. Damon and Bonnie were walking though the airport and had just reached the point where Damon will have to say goodbye. Bonnie's feeling's for him wasn't quite love yet but she had strong feelings for him but she was still sad to see him go. Bonnie was going to Cadiz for three weeks. She was determined that she was going to have fun and relax.

"You'll call me when you land?" Damon reminded her.

"I promise" Bonnie smiled.

"Now, you go and enjoy yourself" Damon smiled, "Don't think about work or the Mikaelson's. Just go there and have a great time"

"I will" Bonnie promised.

Little did Bonnie know that she was going to break that promise...
