The four friends ran to the car and jumped in, Riley and Maya giggling the whole way.
Shawn was driving, so Cory explained what the day was going to be like. "We are going to two places today. Both have to do with things you guys do back at home."
Maya and Riley looked at each other, confused. "How?"
Cory smiled misceviously. "You'll see."
Riley groaned, which made Maya laughed.
When they got there, Cory and Shawn both had wide smiles. "We're here!" Cory announced with a smile still plastered on his face.
Riley looked out the window and gasped. She knew where they were. "Oh my gosh! This is your high school, isn't it?!"
Shawn grinned. "Yep! We figured it would be cool to stop by and see the place."
Maya and Riley smiled at each other. They knew that high school had some ups and downs, but either way it was still cool to see Cory and Shawn's old high school. The group then got out of the car and looked at the school.
"So many memories," Cory whispered under his breath. "
Yeah, like when I had good hair." Shawn joked. The four friends in response broke out in a fit of laughter.
"Can we go in?" Riley asked when she had caught her breath.
Shawn shook his head. "Unfortunately, no, we have other things to do today. We just wanted to show you two."
Riley nodded, although she was a little disappointed. They then returned to the car and went on their way to the next stop.
Maya yawned, which made Riley giggle. Maya looked over at her and asked, "Hey, remember when they said we could hug later?"
Riley nodded and smiled, then put her arm around Maya.
Maya smiled happily and did the same.
"Sorry for waking you up earlier. I know how much you hate it."
Maya laughed. "It was worth it though, this morning was great!"
Riley smiled again. "It sure was. I'm glad we're on this trip, Maya."
Maya grinned and pecked Riley's cheek. "Me too. It's awesome!"
Riley smiled became fonder. Receiving this much affection from Maya was rare, but amazing. They didn't know where the were going, but they were having fun doing it.
