Kinds short, but hey, I've got school
Cory and Shawn played another game of darts and Shawn won once again. Cory was not exactly happy about that but all in all, he was happy to be in the trip nonetheless.
"Ha! Shawn won again!" Maya taunted with a smirk.
Riley rolled her eyes and paid up once again.
After Cory and had Shawn finished playing darts, they all decided to play pool together. Riley didn't really know how to play, so Cory had to explain. After Cory explained the rules to the girls, they seemed to understand, so they started the game. Cory went first and did a pretty decent job, which meant it was now Riley's turn.
Maya stood across from her and watched, not knowing that Riley had no clue how to hit the cue ball.
Riley accidentally threw the pool stick instead of how Cory had instructed her to, and things got bad quick.
It went straight for Maya and she didn't have time to duck. The pool stick hit Maya right above the eye, knocking her backward with a yelp. She didn't fall, but it still hurt. Bad.
"Maya!" Cory, Shawn, and Riley all yelled. They then rushed to Maya's side to see if she was okay.
Maya backed off, repeatily saying that she was fine, but Riley knew she wasn't 'fine.'
Cory and Shawn shrugged, deciding it was best to leave Maya alone.
Riley didn't stop though, because she knew Maya better than anyone. Riley slowly approached Maya, afraid to see the damage inflicted. Riley eventually got close enough to where she could see a mark just above Maya's eyebrow, making her feel bad.
Maya just looked her friend and said nothing.
Riley got slightly closer and Maya took a step back, which only made Riley feel even worse. "I'm sorry, I've never played before. I didn't mean to hit you...," She whispered just loud enough for Maya to hear.
Maya nodded and stepped closer to Riley, trusting that what she said was true. "I'm okay. Do you want to go back to playing now?"
Riley smiled. "Yeah, but there's one more thing I should do first." She got even closer to Maya, then as softly as she could, kissed the spot she had hit with her pool stick.
Maya smiled. "Thanks."
Riley nodded. "No problem." The two friends then walked back over to where Cory and Shawn were and continued their game of pool.
