Kate came back to the table in a very happy mood so whatever Ana said to her has helped. I thanked my mother for being so considerate towards Ana. Mia seems very interested in Alex and I have just decided to have the chat with him. I ask him to walk with me and we decide to go to the docks. The chat was quick and easy and everything is sorted out. We get back to the table and I notice Ana has swapped places with me. What the hell is she up to? I take my seat and take her hand into mine.
"I missed you baby."
"Missed you to. When I came back you were gone."
"Oh I went for a walk with Alex. Are you ok?"
"I am not sure…." Before Ana can finish her sentence our starters are put in front of us and I am not impressed when I see who the server is. Fuck this is bad.
"What the fuck?" I say then I glance at Elena and she is avoiding my eye. She is defiantly responsible for this shit.
"That's what I was trying to tell you Christian. There are about six of them here tonight. Elena said they were desperate for money so she gave them a chance."
"I don't give a fuck if they were on the street dying of starvation she knew the fucking rules." I look to Elena and she looks fucking smug for herself. Then Ana surprises me when she asks Elena to please swop plates with her. Elena tries to protest but Ana forces the issue and gets her own way. What the hell is Ana up to?
"Baby what was that all about?"
"I have a funny feeling they have put something in my food. I just do not trust them." I don't fucking believe this. I take Elena's food from her and march out the hall with it. Taylor notices something is wrong and comes to me.
"Taylor have this analyzed for poison immediately and get those fucking subs out of here now. Search them for drugs as well." I feel Ana behind me and I know she is near.
"Christian my spare kit is in the truck at Elliot's house. Taylor can bring it over and I can do the test in the house."
"Ok Taylor you heard her. Meet us in the house in 20 minutes. Take the subs and keep them in the boathouse till the tests are all done. Secure Elena I don't want her slipping away."
"Yes sir." I am so on edge now. I need Ana in my arms to know she is safe. I send a text to Alex and Elliot informing them what is happening. We go back into the tent and as we get near our table one of the fucking subs spins around right into Ana and drops the whole tray all over Ana's dress. She ends up with food and wine dripping all over her. With all the stress and now the smell of alcohol on her I can see she is trying to do everything in her power to keep calm. Ana is battling and I can here Elena's irritating laugh and it pisses me off even more. Ana is trembling and searching for me and before I even think I crush Ana's lips to mine and I kiss her with everything I got. I feel her relax into me and I know I have distracted her from everything. We pull apart and she is smiling at me and it makes me smile back.
"And what was that for Mr Grey?" She is sounding so turned on that I myself am battling for control.
"I know you needed that as much as I did."
"I did. Can I go change now?"
"Lets go baby I have a surprise for you." I just remembered the clothes we had dropped off here so she can choose one of the outfits we bought for her. Luckily I had them delivered to this house. I realize the craziness of this entire situation and as much as I try to control my self its useless the laughter just bubbled out as we were leaving the tent and I realized everyone's eyes were on us and to be totally honest I couldn't give a fuck what they thought.
Ana
I knew they were up to something. That was no accident. I am pissed off because I really loved this dress and now it is ruined and to make things worse I am going to be on the front page of tomorrow morning's paper. I can just see the headline. 'Billionaire lands up with disaster date'. If Christian had not kissed me I would have completely lost it and things would have been so much worse. He made sure he was the perfect distraction for me.
"Ana what's wrong?"
"What makes you ask that?"
"You are frowning like you are deep in thought so I assume its something that is bothering you."
"Its this whole incident that is bothering me. I am going to be the joke of Seattle tomorrow when I am on the front page of the newspaper with food all over me standing next to the sexiest man in Seattle."
"Ana, am I only the sexiest man in Seattle?"
"Christian this is not a joke and no I meant the world."
"I thought as much baby. Don't worry about it Taylor has made sure those photos of you have been destroyed already." I am shocked by this but I should have known.
"Thank you. That is a weight off my shoulders."
"Anything to keep you happy baby. I am really sorry about how this night is going. It's supposed to be a great night and see how that turned out for you."
"Christian, don't say that. I am having a great time because I am with you."
"Ok baby I am enjoying being with you to now lets get you changed so I can have you all to myself on the dance floor." We walk into his old bedroom, he opens the closet and I am blown away.
"Christian what is all this?"
"This is your surprise baby. It's all for you. When Alex told me my fuck up with the shoes I needed to do something for you to say how sorry I am."
"When did you do all this?"
"This morning Alex, Elliot, Taylor and I went on a personal shopping spree." I can't help but laugh at that image.
"You mean you men personally went and chose every one of these for me?" I guess I can't help the surprise in my voice.
"Yes with some help of course. Alex also helped me pick out what shoes and jackets you liked." I now have the biggest smile on my face because Alex knows my weakness for shoes and jackets.
"Baby I will do it everyday if I can see that beautiful smile on your face."
"Oh Christian you are the best." I almost throw myself into his arms then I remember the food all over me. I lean in and steal a long passionate kiss.
"Any thing for you my love. I am just glad I had them deliver here. Choose something to change into. I am going to see if Taylor is back." He leaves me and I am so trilled. Everything is so me. I choose to change into very short Erin Heritage grey bandage dress and I look so hot in it. I am shocked Christian chose such a short dress for me. I never wear things like this but I feel like I want to show Elena a thing or two. I pair it with a pair of sparkling silver flats. I also let my hair down my back in long waves. I leave the room and go in search of Christian. I find all the men in the Kitchen chatting and it suddenly goes quiet when I walk in.
"Fuck Ana what the hell are you wearing?" Trust Christian not to know what he bought, just goes to show he might have had a lot of help choosing the clothes.
"It was with the dresses in your closets that you bought." He looks over to Alex and Elliot and now I know who the guilty parties are. I can't help but laugh at there faces.
"No fucking way would I have bought you a dress like that? It's to tight and to short."
"Well, I think Ana looks fucking sexy in it and I approve."
"Of course you will Elliot you probably chose that dress. I am fucking pisses at you."
"Oh get over your self little brother. Think of all the heads Ana is going to turn when she goes back into the tent."
"I don't want all those fuckers looking at what's mine."
"Christian she is going to be on your arm the whole fucking night. Just enjoy it. Fuck bro chill out." Christian mumbles something under his breath and I cant help but laugh at them they need to get over themselves. I leave them to carry on there discussion while I work with Taylor. My tests prove that my food was laced with cocaine so it was a very good thing I did not eat it. The cops were called in and I was trilled to see Jose was one of them. I walk up to him and it takes him a moment to recognize me but then he gives me the widest grin and takes me into his arms for a long hug.
"Ana what the hell are you doing here?" He asks me while I am still in his arms.
"Hey Jose its so good to see you to. I am actually the guest that was almost drugged. It was my plate of food that was laced with the drugs."
"You got to be fucking kidding me?"
"Nope I am not. I recognized something was off so I swapped my place with the person I suspected and as I thought she would not eat it so my fiancé grabbed the plate from her before she could get rid of it and I ran the tests. I found traces of cocaine and also I picked up 4 fingerprints off the plate. I have also given you a sample of my fingerprint and my fiancé's because we also handled the plate. The suspects are currently being detained by our security." He is looking down at me and saying nothing. Then he laughs. I guess that was a mouth full he had to hear.
"Impressive Steele now who is this Fiancé that I have yet to meet?" I step out of his arms and go to Christian who is not looking very impressed.
"Jose this is the love of my life Christian. Christian this is my old and dearest friend Jose." They shake hands but I can tell Christian does not approve.
"Jose we need to keep this as quiet as possible. I do not want this to get into the papers tomorrow."
"No problem I will sort it out. We need to go to dinner sometime soon Ana." Jose says and I feel Christian tense next to me.
"Of course I will be in contact with you."
"Ok see you soon. Now go and enjoy the rest of the party." I get another hug from him even though Christian was reluctant to let me go. When we eventually got back to the party it was in full swing. Of course Christian was eyeing every man that glanced our way. We danced together and it was the most beautiful thing ever till we had a breach in security and the team got us out of there as fast as possible. I was just relieved we got home in one piece without incidents.
"Baby are you ok?"
"Yes I am. I am a little disappointed we didn't stay longer but I guess our safety is more important."
"If anything else were to happen to you I don't think I will handle it very well."
"Christian nothing is going to happen to me."
"Of course not and I will make sure of it, now go get settled and I will be with you shortly. I need to do some work in my office if you don't mind?"
"Ok cool I have some planning to do as well and I don't mind at all."
"Oh yes I forgot to tell you what a brilliant idea that was. I was already dreading being away from you."
"I thought so. See you later baby." Christian goes off to his office to work and I grab Luke to work on my proposal for Elliot.
