Chapter 16: Welcome to our family

"More guys are about to fall in love with you...so I am saying at this point, it's anyone's game to win your heart." That was the fortune teller Selena's last words as she left the confused Ema behind.

She only sat at the couch taking in this bizarre news in silence. Ema knows that fortunes do not come true, because their is no such thing as magic. That's what she always believed in anyway, when she was a little girl all she ever talked about was fairytales. The hope of Prince Charming walking to her doorstep, sweeping her off her feet, take her on a horse and ride down the sunset. Of course her father would correct her and say, 'That's only in stories Ema. I promise you that you will find someone that would truly love you.'

"Who can possibly love me…?" Ema questioned out loud.

Someone tapped her on the shoulder and it made her jumped as she turned around to face Yusuke. His eyes were big and he seemed confused of why she acted so startled. "You okay? Sorry I didn't mean to take so long…"

"Oh you're fine! Sorry I guess I was spacing out a bit...ready to head back? I need to go back in my room to get ready for dinner." Ema pretended to be okay as she walked passed him. Yusuke didn't say anything as the two walked back to their rooms.

Few hours have passed. As the whole Asahina family was in the dining hall same with Ema and her father. They all sat on a long wide table to fit all these individuals. Of course the hotel never had owned this type of table before, Miwa's parents bought this table exclusive out of the country and shipped it here. Fancy plates, wine glasses, decorations of flowers were placed nicely as well as a shining chandelier was above them. The room was filled with chattering, until Miwa and Rintarou stood up from their chairs and clicked their glasses for everyone's attention.

"Thank you all for joining us tonight, it has been a few nights since we all sat down together to eat again. This vacation was spectacular, and we don't want it too end!" Miwa chuckles as she continues with a bright smile. "Even though we all have to go back to our homes, jobs and school real soon. We thought it was best that we get married sooner than later." She grabs Rintarou's hand and they both shouted like they were on the rooftop. "We are getting married tomorrow!"

The Asahina brothers and cousins were all in shock. The adults only smiled and applauded for the soon-to-be married couple.

"Congratulations you two, where will the wedding be held?" Masaomi asked while smiling as he looked at his younger brother Wataru while he is jumping up and down for joy.

"Here my son, this would be the best place," Miwa gestured as she kissed Rintarou on the cheek. "We have everyone's suits and shoes for tomorrow, we are only renting them for the day so make sure they are clean."

The couple sat down and continued being happy. The whole room was full of chatter. Ema is the only one that is not speaking. She was happy for them, but something was troubling her and that made her upset. The Ponytail girly finished eating and excused herself from the table without letting anyone know. She stepped outside feeling the nighttime summer breeze as the moonlight shined beautifully. Ema laid her arms on the balcony and let out a sigh.

"I know that sigh." Ema's father sweetly said as he patted her on the head. "Now tell me what's wrong?"

Ema frowned. "Nothing father really I am okay."

Rintarou refused to believe that, and made his daughter look at him, "I know you're not. Are you...disappointed that Miwa and I are getting married so soon?"

"No. I am very happy you guys are getting married. I…" Ema looked at her father with a hurt expression. "Father...would anyone love me?"

Ema's father eyes were huge as cat eyes and blinked multiple times till he registered what she was saying and then let out a laugh, "Haha oh my, sweetheart of course. Why would you ask that?"

The Ponytail girly finally admitted to her father why she felt this way, "Because...I never had a boyfriend before and I feel different...from most girls. I just can't see why anyone would love a girl like me."

"Mm. Let me put it this way." He put his hands on her shoulders and gave her a loving look and a bear hug, "You are the most sweetest girl, you care about everyone, and you are beautiful. Also I may add you're my daughter and I love you very much. You will have a new family that's going to love and protect you. Focus on that okay?"

Ema nodded as she wipes her tears silently and gave her father one last hug. She felt better having that talk with him. Rintarou was about to go back inside, but he forgot to mention something to his daughter. "Also Ema, I wanted to let you know about this before tomorrow. After Miwa and I get married we are going to England for...awhile."

"For how long?" Ema questioned.

"Um... Miwa's business is there and I don't mind being there, we were thinking that we find a house and live there." Rintarou felt bad saying this to his daughter. "But you and your step brothers will continue living at the condo. I am sorry about this-" Before Rintarou finished Ema interrupted.

"Don't worry about it father. I understand you want to have alone time with her." Ema tried putting a fake smile on.

"I want you to know if it becomes to much trouble with you living there, you can call me and come and live with us. I know you are in good hands and I do trust the boys, but being in a household with all of them can be a bit of a hassle." Rintarou finished speaking, kissed his daughter on the forehead and left her on the balcony.

The Beauty had some mixed emotions but she had to try to understand. She doesn't want to cause problems. Ema left the family, and went to bed. She was ready to become a member of the Asahina family but at the sametime her heart become heavy, and she wondered why?

The next day is the wedding day. Ema got woken up early by Miwa's makeup artist to help get her ready. She sat on the chair and let out a yawn because of her lack of sleep. Until someone peered at her face and kiss her on the cheek.

"Morning Chii." Louis smiles sweetly to her as he hides something behind his back.

Ema blushed like a rose, "L-Louis! You scared me." As she faces him through the reflection giving him a little pouty face.

"Haha you look funny Chii. I am sorry you look like you were about to fall asleep, I had to try to wake you up. But I know this will help you way more." He pulled out a cup of coffee and he watched Ema's face light up like a Japanese lantern.

"Thank you! I really needed this hehe," Ema smiled like a child and sipped it carefully as she blows the hot air. "Why are you here so early?"

Louis crossed his arms and smirked at her, "To do your hair of course. My mother told me to do your hair before I do hers. So do you mind if I touch your beautiful hair?"

The Ponytail girly continued to blush and was embarrassed that Louis thought her hair was beautiful, but she only nodded and let him do her hair. It took about an hour in a half. Louis curled it gracefully, adding spray, putting a pretty flower on her hair to help put it in place. "There, all done. Look at yourself Chii."

"Thank you Louis. I feel…" She looked at herself one last time and finally said the words. "Beautiful."

Louis admired her beauty and caught himself blushing and turned around about to leave the room, "My work here is done. I will see you at the wedding, I'm going to do mother's hair right now. Later Chii." He shut the door quickly, Ema was confused of him leaving in a hurry, but she believed that he had to do Miwa's hair quickly. But for Louis...he had to run away from his heart.

Ema Hinata put on the frilly-pink dress and was mesmerized how gorgeous it was. She remembered how much Miwa wanted her to have it. It made the girly feel good, being spoiled by her soon-to-be step mom. She never grew up with her mother and that always bothered Ema, but she is very happy that her father found the love of his life and he can finally be happy.

A lot of people were attending the wedding, there was a church close by to the hotel so they settled with that. All the brothers, cousins and Ema sat down. They waited till they heard "the here comes the bride" song, everyone stood up from the benches and gazed at the stunning Miwa. Ema looked at her father and for the first time ever, she can tell how much he truly loved her it warmed her heart. Natsume that is beside Ema noticed her getting teary eyed, he offered her his handkerchief.

"I was waiting for you to do that." Natsume smiled as he whispered to Ema.

"Thank you Natsume, sorry for troubling you." Ema shyly takes the handkerchief.

Miwa is standing across from Rinatoru and gave the cue for everyone to sit back down and listen to the ceremony. It was a beautiful ceremony everyone was emotional with happiness. Seeing Miwa and Rinatoru vowing their eternal love for eachother made Ema realize she wants that for herself someday. She's hoping she will find it real soon.

The Asahina family and the guests went outside to celebrate. Everyone is mingling and dancing. Ema sits down and while drinking her apple cider, someone approaches her and offers their hand.

"May I have this dance?" Tsubaki smirks as he winks at her. Ema blushes and nods as she takes his hand. The two dance on the dance floor to a slow song. Tsubaki looks around and can tell certain people are jealous and he kinda likes it. "So Ema? Did you enjoy the ceremony?"

"Yes it was a very beautiful. I hope one day when I get married it would be magical...and all my family and friends will be there." Ema admits out loud and she didn't realize that it was supposed to be kept in her thoughts. "Um sorry Tsubaki pretend you didn't hear that...please?"

Tsubaki only giggle at her, "You are so cute!" He looks at her reaction and couldn't help getting more of it. "But you know...maybe we will get married someday?"

Ema's heart skip a beat when she heard Tsubaki's words. She looks up and meets his gaze and it seemed loving and that made Ema's eyes sparkled and blushed like an apple. Tsubaki was surprised that he said that but he didn't regret it...but he tried to pretend that he was joking, "You are fun too tease..." He looked away from her too hide his embarrassment.

Yusuke went between the two and had an annoyed expression toward his brother, "Do you mind if you leave us be?" He didn't want to hear Tsubaki's answer, as he grabs Ema's hand and takes her somewhere else.

"Yusuke are you okay?" Ema questioned as she keeps staring that they are holding hands it made her feel warm and slightly anxious. "Did I do something wrong?"

The red head stop and turned around as he is blushing like a moron and tried to get the right words out of his mouth, "N-No! I wanted to give you something...and I wanted it to be us!" He let go of her hand and reached in his pocket to pull out the present till someone called out Ema's name.

The two turned around and Ema's chocolate eyes widen in surprised, "J-Jiro!?"

Yusuke was shocked to see Jiro again and cursed himself because he feels like Kama is punishing him once again.

If you need an reminder he made his appearance in chapter 9 and took Ema to the dance in chapter 10. Yeah Yusuke is right Kama is punishing him because he appears when Yusuke wants to give Ema a present! Lol! Anyway thanks again until next time :)
