Chapter 17: It's your turn.
The man standing there is no other than Jiro Kunishiro. His long silver hair still looks perfect, his eyes are blue as the sea and his gaze still looks cold. For some reason he is wearing a suit. It made Ema confused because she hasn't seen him since the dance. That was the last she has spoken to him or has seen him.
"Jiro...what are you doing here?" Ema questioned as she hides her surprise.
"Isn't it obvious? I am here for the reception. It has been a long time...Ema." Jiro bowed and gave Ema a little smile. Ema caught a glimpse of it and was shocked. Because the Jiro she knew always faked smiled and was usually rude. Why is he different? Then Jiro looked at Yusuke and tried really hard to remember his name, "Um nice seeing you again...you are Subaru, right?"
The redhead was literally about to snap at the rich man. Why in the world does he call Yusuke, "Subaru"? It makes him irritated more than anything. At the corner someone was coming to go get Jiro. "Son, let's go greet the newlyweds before we have to go...oh?"
"Hello Mr. Kunishiro!" Ema smiled as she bowed to her boss from Frosty.
"I knew it was you Ema. How are you doing? Sorry I didn't realize that your father was the one that was engaged to Miwa. You see, her and I are old college friends. I wanted to apologize to them for being late to the wedding." Kunishiro looked at his son coldly and looked back Ema and Yusuke with a smile. "Anyway nice seeing you. I will see you at work when you are done with your vacation."
The ponytail girly noticed Mr. Kunishiro giving that look to Jiro and it really surprised her. But she pretended it didn't bother her as she acted like her cheerful self, "Of course thank you for the vacation time sir. I will do my best when I come back to work."
Mr. Kunishiro wrinkle face formed a little smile as he walks away and Jiro followed behind his father. Jiro looked back at Ema for a second but he just gave her an apathy expression. Then he walked away leaving Ema and Yusuke alone.
"I cannot believe that bastard is here! I swear to god if he calls me Subaru one more time I will kick his ass for sure!" Yusuke shouts with anger as he is talking to himself. But then he notices Ema staring of too space and he appeared in front of her face and questioned, "Hey...are you okay? Does seeing Jiro weird you out?"
Ema sucked in a breath as she looks at Yusuke with a conflicted expression, "I...thought I would never see him again. Just now he seem different, now I know why he acts the way he does. Jiro and Mr. Kunishiro do not get along…I feel sorry for him."
Yusuke closed his eyes as he let out a sigh, "You are just too forgiving you know that? If I were you I wouldn't want to talk or see him again." Then he open his eyes and he became serious, "Hey…you don't have feelings for him right?"
"What!" Ema's chocolate eyes widened as she stammered her words, "N-No! I don't think of him that way. Just why would you ask me that for Yusuke?"
The redhead blushed a little as he looked away, "Well...I feel like he isn't the right guy for you that's all...A-Anyway I been wanting to give you this gift." He went inside his pocket but a panicked expression appeared as he realized the gift is not there! "What! Where is it? It should have been here!" Yusuke looked all over his pockets and searched on the ground and there was no sign of it.
"I am sorry that you can't find it...may I help you look?" The girly asked with concern.
"No it's okay it should pop up somewhere. You go back to the party, and I will come and get you, if I find it." Yusuke tried to stay calmed. So he walked her back to the party, and everyone was happy to see them. Ema enjoyed dancing with her new family. At this moment she has never experienced this feeling of being part of a real family. Until Miwa made an announcement and got all the single ladies attention.
"I want to spread my happiness to all the single ladies that are here at the party. Whoever catches the bouquet will be the next to get married! So gather around please." Miwa turns around as she closes her eyes. She tighten the bouquet as she through her arms up in the air as she release. All the screaming women had their arms up while pushing and shoving. The only one that stayed still was Ema Hinata. Without realization her arms were up by getting push around and it made her catch the bouquet.
The ponytail girly expression was hot and blink multiple times till it register in her brain that she caught the bouquet. Ema gazes up and see Miwa and Rinatoru smiling at her warmly. Her father lip his daughter something, "It's your turn." With that Ema eyes became glossy as she whispers to herself, "I hope so."
As the sun is setting down, everyone at the party is still dancing and having a good time. Ema was having a blast but she wanted to sit down and enjoy the sunset. As she stands out on the balcony someone taps her at the shoulder and she turned to see its Keita the eleventh cousin. His dark brown hair was down close to his shoulder as he wears a black suit with a red tie. Keita's grey eyes are dreamy and that made Ema drain to them.
"Here you are Angel, I have been searching for you." Keita said with a grin as he stares down at the short Ema.
"I was just admiring the sunset. But why were you searching for me Keita?" Ema question until Keita pulls out a camera from his pocket.
"Do you mind? I promise Aunt Miwa to take pictures for the wedding. You staring at the sunset made me want to capture that intensity. Anyway, just do what you were doing till I interrupted you." Keita walk a few steps back and kneel down to get the camera close to his eye. Ema felt flustered and she obeyed what Keita wanted. The clicks from the camera were made and Keita got up to look and he was breathless till he blurt out, "Wow you are truly beautiful…"
The ponytail girly look away being embarrassed. Keita lift up Ema's chin and stare at her deeply, "You know, I can't believe that vacation is almost over. Who knows when I will see you again…but I will not stop thinking about you…my angel." He kissed her on the forehead and walks away not turning back. Ema heart skipped a beat and she felt like she couldn't breathe.
Meanwhile…
Yusuke is outside searching for the present he had lost. He is psst at himself for loosing something that's so important. "Damn it! Where is it!? I been searching all over the damn place!" Yusuke shouts with frustration.
"You looking for this?"
The red head turns around and sees the gift he was searching. But Jiro happens to have it in his position.
"Thank you! I have been searing for that." Yusuke walks toward Jiro, but he puts the present in his pocket. "Hey…that's mine."
Jiro gives Yusuke a coldly stare, "Is the gift for Ema? If so…why would you give it to your new sister?"
"That's none of your business. Give back the necklace!" Yusuke threatens as he tries to grab it out of Jiro's jacket.
Instantly Jiro grabs Yusuke wrist tightly and continues giving him the cold stare, "I will not give it to you. I want you to stay away from Ema. You really think she would like a guy like you?"
Yusuke was boiling hot inside, he wanted to smack Jiro down. He escaped his grasp and gave Jiro a coldly stare back, "What the hell is your problem!? You and Ema were never dating! Leave her out of this! This is between you and me!"
"You know…Yusuke I know you love her…it's so obvious. Let me give you news…she would never date a loser like you. The one she would love at the end is me." Jiro smirked. Then he turns his back to Yusuke to finished. "If she did choose you. There would be no way you two could be together because officially till this day forward, she is your sister. Your family would never accept that."
Jiro walks away leaving Yusuke behind. Yusuke clench his fists and punch the building right beside him. He punches so hard that his knuckles started to bleed. He mutters under his breath, "Damn…maybe he is right…"
Author Notes: Hiii everyone! Happy late Halloween! Hope you all had a great time and got lots of candy. So I wanted to thank everyone that has favorite, follow, and review! I am so glad that many of you love my story. I want everyone to know that I will finished this story someday. A lot of things have been changing in my life. I just started college this Fall! I have accomplished one month so far...it's hard lol. Balancing school, work and family/friends. Like believe it or not I have been typing little bits of this chapter this whole month...because I am always so busy. I will try my best to update when I have the free time. It's hard when I am typing for ALL of my classes sucks the life out of you. ANYWAY to the story!
So I have been thinking...that it's about time for Ema to have her first kiss... I had a few ideas of "who" it would of been. But I want it to be fun by you readers to choose! It can honestly be any of the Asahina brothers, the cousins, or...Jiro! I would like you all to tell me who it should be and explain to me why this guy should kiss Ema. You can choose to review or PM. I would tally who is the most wanted guy. By the next chapter it may happened :)
