Sophie Foster woke up one morning, grumpy. For some reason just the thought of seeing anyone pissed her off. Tired, Sophie shifted in her big canopy bed only to cringe in pain. A feeling of aching pain traveled up her legs and around her stomach before settling down and restarting.

"Ow!" Sophie thought as she curled into a small ball in an attempt to stop the pain. By doing so, more pain traveled through her making her moan in pain. A couple seconds later a knock sounded on the door, making it seem as if someone was banging drums right next to her head. Warm tears trailed down her face sticking her blond hair in small strands to it.

"Sophie? Are you alright in there? I heard a moan of pain." Edaline's soft voice travelled through the door of her bedroom still encased in darkness. In response, Sophie moaned again and curled tighter. The door opened up and Edaline's head poked through the door crack and worried eyes eyed the bundle of blankets in the bed. They also eyed the small amount of red coating certain parts of the blanket. A small smile graced her lips as she closed the door and a few minutes later came back with a plate of cubes. The cubes were blue and orange and helped for cases like this.

Edaline walked back into Sophie's room and knocked once more before entering without waiting for a reply. She sat down beside the trembling ball of covers and rubbed them. Sophie sighed as the pain lessened as someone continued to rub her back in a small circular motion.

"Here Sophie. Try these. They should make you feel better." Edaline said. Sophie unfurled herself and peaked over the comforters rim looking at the plate being held in front of her. With one hand, she took a cube and stuffed it in her mouth. Immediately the pain faded away and she sighed in happiness continuing to eat more of the cubes. When finished, Edaline took Sophie's hand and led her to the bathroom to clean her up.

Nearly twenty minutes later, the two walked out of the bathroom refreshed and happy. Before Edaline left the room, she turned to Sophie and said, "Welcome to womanhood." With that she closed the door.
