"I'm fine." Gwen murmured as she shuffled slightly away from him and huddled into her jacket with a small shiver. She felt sick. Crap, she hoped to god that she wasn't going to vomit, that would not be attractive. Arthur let out a small sigh before he ran his hand through his hair and stood up. "Come on, I'll take you home." He said as he held out his hand for her to take.

Gwen looked up from where she was huddled in her jacket and stared at his hand for a moment or too, she knew that going home was the sensible option, she couldn't stay here, especially with the way that her stomach was churning. She let out a small, angry huff and stood up, ignoring his hand. "Fine." She snapped, keeping her eyes lowered towards the floor. Arthur fought the urge to laugh at her tone of voice and placed his hand on the small of her hack, guiding her out of the garden gate and out onto the road where his car was parked.

He opened the passenger door and helped her slip in, noting how the girl avoided his gaze at all costs. The ride home was silent with Gwen resting the side of her head against the passenger window as she watched the world drive past. It was only when she saw her house come into view that she sat up properly and glanced towards Arthur. He parked his car outside of her home and turned his head to meet her gaze for a few moments. A soft smile crossed his lips before he got out of his side of the car and hurried around to the passenger side where he then opened her door. She stepped out with a small, grateful smile and lingered for a moment while Arthur shut the passenger door for her.

They pair stayed silent for a few minutes before Gwen shifted awkwardly and finally looked up to meet Arthur's gaze. "Do you want to come in?" She asked politely. Arthur nodded in return and they both headed towards the door. After fumbling to find her keys, the pair headed inside, with Gwen leading the way. "Drink?" She asked as she dropped her keys and phone onto the table before heading to the fridge.

"Sure, waters fine." The blonde responded. Taking two bottles of water, Gwen handed one to Arthur before taking the lid off of her own and taking a sip. She glanced down at the table to see a short note from Elyan to state that he was out with friends and not to worry, the thought made her smile. He knew her too well. Looking back up from the table, she spotted Arthur shifting on the spot. Gesturing for him to follow her, she headed into the lounge and sat herself cross-legged on the sofa. "Sorry about the space, it's a little smaller than yours." She stated with a chuckle which Arthur mimicked. Silence fell over the pair of them, this time a little more uncomfortable than the last.

Arthur stared at the small patch of carpet that he was absentmindedly rubbing with his foot. He stayed like that for a few moments before he eventually looked up, his eyes landed upon the girl opposite him. He knew he had hurt her but he was unsure how to fix it, and even if he could fix it, he was unsure of what would happen next, if anything. "I'm sorry for the other night," He started eventually before clearing his throat a little. "I'm not good with this kind of thing, it's been a while since I've had any interest in a girl so this is a bit out of the ordinary for me." He finished with a small smile, it was no excuse and he knew that but it was the best that he could come up with.

Gwen lifted her gaze to meet his as he spoke, she knew it must have been difficult. "I'm sorry about your girlfriend…that must have been horrible." She murmured in response, she must have still been a little tipsy as she would never have brought that up.

Arthur froze for a moment, he hadn't been aware that she had even known about Vivian. But then again it wasn't like it was a secret, and after all they did go to a high school where nothing stayed silent. He nodded after a second and averted his gaze towards the carpet again. "It was." He responded before staying silent for a moment. "What makes it worse is that I caused the fire." He whispered, swallowing a lump that had formed in his throat.
