Chapter 3:
(Grace's POV)
I let Luke sleep most of the bus ride. I know he could really use the extra sleep, being a science geek and all, I know he doesn't get much at night. So, I let him sleep, which is fine because he definitely wouldn't understand my taste in music. Although, I do admit he likes my taste in music a bit more these days. Now, I'm not the lovey-dovey type of person, and when he told me he loved me, it made me want to puke! Now, don't get me wrong, I do like him, like a lot. But I don't love anyone. But, I had to hang out with someone on a Friday night, I would glad it's him, if you catch my drift.
"Hey, Geek," I say, nudging him in the shoulder. "We just got off the highway."
"Huh? What?"
"We just got off the highway, we're almost there." I say again, hoping this time he'll understand.
"Why did you let me sleep that long, Grace?"
"God, Girardi! Why can't you just take a favor, and not ask so many questions?"
"Oh, ok. Thanks Grace. That was really sweet of you."
"Woah, Dude. Never, and I mean NEVER call me sweet. Got it?"
"Y... Yeah… got it." He says, as he puts his hands up to defend himself.
"It's ok. Really, just don't do it again." I say.
"Come here," Luke says, as he holds his arms open, and I wrap myself into him. I snuggle closer to him, and I feel him kiss the top of my head. I look up into his eyes, searching them for a sign that he still wants me. He leans down until his lips touch mine. I feel my heart start racing, and I know that we shouldn't do this, especially on the bus, when anyone could see us.
"PDA much, Grace?" I hear, and I tear my lips away from Luke and look in the direction the voice came from, only to see Joan staring at us.
"Don't you have something better to do than watch us, Girardi? Like suck face with your boyfriend?" I growl at her.
"Not really, Adam fell asleep, and I just bring myself to wake him up. He's such a cute sleeper!" She coos.
"Well, good thing I don't have a problem with waking him up," I say, as I get up. I walk the two feet to Joan's seat and reach over her. "Wake up Rove. We're almost there."
"What?" He says sleepily.
"We're almost to the hotel." Joan says.
"Did I sleep the whole way?"
"Just about,"
"Unchallenged." Rove says. I turn around and shuffle back to my seat next to Luke. He puts his arm back around me, and I rest my head on his shoulder again.
The stops short, and the both of us go jerking forward in our seats. "This bus is going to give me whiplash!" I hear Joan yell.
"Shut up, girl Girardi! You'll be fine!" I yell at her.
"Alright, class! Listen up!" Ms. Lischak yells. "I want all of you to wait quietly in the lobby while I get all the room keys and then we'll disperse."
OOOOOOO
"This is going to be AWESOME Grace!" Joan yells in my ear.
"If I don't go deaf, that is." I say sarcastically. "Did we get our room keys yet?"
"Yeah, we're room 212. How about you guys, Adam?"
"Room 236, dude." Adam replies.
"Opposite sides of the hotel," I say, observantly, "Props goes to Lischak for actually trying to keep you two apart."
*** Sorry for not updating in soooooo… long! I was moving to another state, and didn't have internet access for forever! Hope you like it!***
