Yello~! It tis I ~Yoliravioli~ with another update/chapter/words for you~
(Last day of January; Sunday night)
"I promise to call you when I can, Naru," Itachi chuckled when Naruto whined, "I promise, Uchihas never go back on their word."
Naruto sighed, jumping onto his bed wincing when he landed on his stomach; "I know, but I'll still miss you." Flipping onto his back, Naruto rubbed his stomach, soothing himself; sighing sadly, he felt bile rising up his throat.
"Naruto?" Naruto ran to the bathroom and hunched over the toilet, throwing up his barely eaten dinner. "Naruto, are you alright?" Naruto smiled when his body had nothing else to toss out.
Leaning away, he flushed the toilet, leaning against the cool wall and placed the phone to his ear. "Sorry," he panted, his throat burning, "I'm fine, I'm sure it'll go away soon, Ita." Naruto tried to laugh it off, the sound of his laughter sounded as if he was struggling to breathe.
Itachi was silent; he knew that he shouldn't leave, but Naruto had told him that he'll be fine. Just about every morning, Itachi would get a message from one of Naruto's friends telling him that Naruto went to the nurse's office an hour or two into school. There, Itachi would find Naruto shivering due to the lack or too much of heat, fatigue -even though Naruto would go straight to bed as soon as Itachi dropped him off, or -what's lately been occurring- nausea. All that came to his mind was that there was a stomach virus that was going around school, the reason why Gaara had been told -by Neji- to stay home. "I don't believe you," Itachi whispered, "I'll call tomorrow morning saying that I can't go, I don't want-"
"No!" Naruto yelled into the phone, he could hear himself echoing in the phone. "Please," Naruto whispered, his chest tightening, "I don't want to hold you back from doing things as a senior. This is the last year that you can do things that you've never done before! This is your last year in high school, Ita." Naruto tried to reason; "You've been taking care of me you deserve this; go out of town -or state- and see the outside world. I know you have colleges lining up for you and you've already sent out applications, but," Naruto's eyes started to burn, the thought of Itachi leaving him -seeing his back to him- and unable to go after him for two years, created a crack in his heart. "But, I want you to have fun." Itachi grew silent, "Please."
Itachi sighed, knowing that he had lost the verbal fight when Naruto brought out his sniffs and tears; "I'll call and text you when I can, ok?" Naruto smiled, trying his best to ignore the pain to come, and agreed with him. By midnight, the two had said goodnight before hanging up; Naruto was back in his room, sitting on his bed, looking at his ceiling. His eyes tearing up at all the pictures of him, Itachi and their friends; nearly half of them were leaving in a few months. Itachi is leaving in a few months; leaving to continue his education before working under his father as CEO that he was to take over years from now.
Naruto was to stay here, go to a college in the city for two or four years, look for a job and stay here. Itachi would have probably moved on from him; it were moments like these that Naruto remembers how different he and Itachi were. Itachi is already set up for college and a good life; Naruto would have to fight tooth and nail to get a fifth a job like Itachi, if he was lucky enough to.
Eyes straying to one particular picture of him and Itachi; Naruto sitting between Itachi's legs, Naruto holding the camera while Itachi had his arms wrapped around his waist, his chin on his shoulder and Naruto's back to his chest. Both smiling into the picture; both not thinking about what is to happen in little more than four months. Closing his eyes, Naruto rocked himself back and forth; "Its only one week, Naruto," he told himself, "before you know it, Itachi will be calling me and telling me that he's outside waiting to take me to school."
(Next morning, the start of February)
Naruto had cried himself to sleep little after one, after that he didn't wake up for anything else. He didn't hear his alarm going off just two feet from him, nor the calls from Tsunade before she left for work, nor Jiraiya when he called from Naruto's door. Naruto was dead to the world.
Seeing that its nearly eight -school starting at eight- Jiraiya sighed before going to wake the boy up. Calling him from the door for five minutes didn't seem to work, so he walked in and sat on the edge of the bed -Naruto being highly sensitive when asleep. Naruto responded by taking a deep breath and turning to face his wall, his back to Jiraiya. The elder raising an eyebrow; the time is already eight when Jiraiya looked at the clock as it -once again- went off. Staring at the clock then to the boy, Jiraiya was considering calling his wife on Naruto; he's never done this before. Placing his hand on Naruto's upper arm, he gently shook the boy, he didn't get a response; shaking him a little harder, Naruto's eyes slowly open before turning to the person waking him up. "What?" Naruto growled.
Jiraiya blinked before narrowing his eyes at the tone Naruto was taking with him; "Get up, school already started, brat." Naruto blinked before turning to look at the clock, eyes widening at the time claiming it to be eight-twenty. "Come on, brat, just because your boyfriend isn't here doesn't mean that you get to sleep in." Nodding, Naruto slowly sat up -Jiraiya already leaving the room. The world seemed to lean more to the right then left before switching on him; Naruto held his head, moaning at the dizziness he felt before his stomach grew heavy. The heaviness expanded to his throat; before he knew what he was doing, Naruto staggered out of bed, out the door and into the restroom. Barely making it to the toilet, Naruto threw up whatever was left from the night before; most of the time he was in the restroom, he was dry heaving.
"Naruto?" Jiraiya walked into the bathroom, Naruto -basically- having his head in the toilet as his body was trying to flush itself out. When Naruto's body finally calmed down after thirty minutes dry heaving, Naruto turned his head to look at Jiraiya -his head resting on the seat- with droopy eyes. In thirty minutes, Naruto's color and tone had changed to sickly pale, causing an alarm to go off in Jiraiya. Quickly, the elder jumped to Naruto, gently pulling him off the toilet and into his chest. Flushing the somewhat dirty toilet, Jiraiya scooped Naruto into his arms and walked him to his room, placing him on his bed where he curled up on his side.
Making sure that Naruto was comfortable, Jiraiya returned to the bathroom to retrieve a bucket, filled it with cold water, and a small towel. Rushing as quick as he could with the bucket filled to nearly the top, he sat by Naruto's side and drowned the towel into the bucket; wringing the towel, Jiraiya folded it once then twice then a third time before laying it on the side of Naruto's damp head. Placing his hand flat against Naruto's exposed forehead, noting the coldness at the touch; worry filling him for his grandchild, Jiraiya got up to search for his cellphone. When he returned to Naruto's room -after throwing the house upside down, the phone was to his ear, his eyes on a slowly turning green Naruto. "There better be a good reason that you're calling me," Tsunade's voice hissed from the other side, the sound of a door closing in the background.
Jiraiya held the phone between his shoulder and ear, quickly carrying Naruto to the bathroom to let whatever out out. "Naruto is throwing up," Jiraiya rubbed Naruto's back as he cried out at the pain that filled his throat when nothing came out.
At first the line went silent for a moment before Jiraiya heard something fall into a chair; "What?"
"Naruto is throwing up or dry heaving, I doubt there's anything left in his stomach." Jiraiya pushed the hair back from Naruto's face, letting their eyes meet before another round claimed the young boy. "I heard him running to the bathroom last night, but I was drunk at the time and you were out cold, I thought that I was hearing things." Naruto gasped, feeling relief when his stomach stopped hurting; leaning his head against the cool seat, Naruto's dull blue eyes looked passed Jiraiya who was waving his hand in front of him. Naruto wanted nothing more but to sleep, but the person that he wanted to sleep with wouldn't be back for a week at least. "Brat?" Jiraiya snapped his fingers, waved his hand, called him but Naruto gave no sign of acknowledgement towards him.
"What happened? Is he ok?" Tsunade asked, her voice high with worry.
"He's spacing out, I think he's about to go off to sleep. He stopped dry heaving or whatever. He just quiet." Jiraiya whispered, taking Naruto into his arms once more.
"Take him to our room, its cooler and its connect to a bathroom, Jiraiya." Jiraiya agreed; taking Naruto to their room and laying him on his side of the bed, it facing their master bathroom. "I won't get a break until tonight, but if he's still like this by the afternoon, call me and I'll switch with someone." Tsunade sighed, not liking that the healthy one was sick. No matter what he ate when he ate it, he would fine.
"I'm off for a few days, Tsunade," Jiraiya reapplied the towel, wiping away the sweat and little chunks from Naruto's exhausted and pale face. "I'm sure that I can get a few more off if he's still sick."
Naruto had fallen asleep; dreaming of waking up seeing Itachi in the corner, sitting in a rocker, with his arms holding two bundles of joy. Itachi rocking back and forth slowly, smiling at the blue and pink blankets before looking up at him. Naruto noticed the tears of joy that shined in Itachi's eyes, his mouth moving but no sound coming.
"Thank you."
Everyday was the same; Naruto running out of his room to the bathroom early in the morning, his hand to his mouth to keep it down before he lost it all over in the hallway. By the time Naruto had his stomach in control, it would be lunch time at school; causing Naruto to catch up in the second half of the day and stay after school for the morning's lessons. By six, Naruto would be home, in his room, doing his homework. Jiraiya forcing Naruto to take a break and eat some bland soup with some crackers and a cup of ginger ale. After finishing his homework and his very light dinner, he would call Tsunade telling him that he was fine before heading off to the shower around eight. By eight-thirty, Naruto would be asleep in his bed, sleeping as if he had been up for two days in a row.
By Friday morning, Naruto locked himself in the bathroom, refusing to unlock the door or to even come out for anyone or anything. Naruto had been texting Itachi -since he would be free near midnight, telling him that he was getting better each day. Naruto had known how close his friends had been watching him, every one of his movements -small or not- had their attention; but Sasuke's attention is the hardest one to deceive. Naruto just hoped that Sasuke isn't reporting back to Itachi.
By midmorning, Naruto came out eventually with his stomach growling willingly for food for the first time for a week. Going to the kitchen, Naruto made himself a cup of ramen; pulling back the lid with a fork ready to dig in, he took in a whiff of the scent. Dropping his fork, Naruto's stomach dropped to the ground as it churned; running out of the kitchen, tears in his eyes, Naruto ran into the restroom and threw up. When he would come back up for air, the light scent of ramen filled the air around him, causing him to go face to face once more with the toilet. Jiraiya came running at Naruto's scream, begging him to throw away the ramen, to get rid of its smell, anything! By the time Jiraiya did, Naruto had nothing in his stomach and could no longer hold anything in for the rest of the day.
Saturday morning, Tsunade had sent -forced- Jiraiya from Naruto's new position over the toilet to the corner store, telling him to buy two items. Waiting for Jiraiya to come back, Tsunade took care of Naruto; when Jiraiya came back, they were waiting in their room. Jiraiya glared at Tsunade, not for forcing him to buy that, for what it they needed it for. Tsunade turned to Naruto, who was slowly sipping and nibbling on ginger ale and crackers, telling him of her theory. At first Naruto just nodded, the information slowly sinking in when Tsunade finished speaking; thinking back a few weeks ago, Naruto blushed at the memory. Tsunade snickered and Jiraiya growled, both -now- knowing why Naruto is going through this. But, they had to test Naruto before believing that Tsunade was right.
"Ok, I'll take it." Naruto whispered, his face still red from his flashback of him and Itachi the whole weekend that was missing something. 'I can't believe we forgot to use them! He bought them, but didn't put them on! Baka!' Naruto thought as he took the small bag with the two items, 'Just incase the first one is wrong?'
It had been three minutes since using both sticks at the same time; if both negative, good, one positive and one negative, good, both positive, not good.
Itachi is leaving in little over four months, there is no reason for him to say like what his father had said. But, if there was another tie...then Itachi's father would let Itachi go to a college near here instead; so they could stay with each other. But...did Naruto want that? To tell Itachi that he was pregnant with his children? What would Itachi say? No, what would he do? Will he accept them? They haven't even talked nor mentioned children yet! Naruto wants a large family but, he doesn't know about Itachi; what kind of family does Itachi want? A large one or small one? How many kids? Wait, will he and Itachi ever make it to where they could start or have a family together?
"Two more minutes..." Naruto whispered, looking at the clock from the master bedroom; he had asked Tsunade and Jiraiya if they could give him some space while he waited for the results. "But, it would be next to impossible if it came up negative, wouldn't it?" Naruto murmured, a fake chuckle coming from him. "'Could happen the first time'," Naruto muttered, his mind racing and showing him a picture of Gaara and his stomach that looked ready to pop any moment. Looking down to his stomach, his hand resting on it without thought. Looking at the time, Naruto focused on the two strips. Looking at the first one: positive. Closing his eyes, Naruto took in a deep breathe before exhaling it slowly; the second strip saying -"Positive." Naruto fell to the ground, he carried a tie to Itachi; his hands coming up to his face, covering his face when he heard footsteps coming to the bathroom.
"Naruto?" Feeling familiar cool hands over his own, Naruto looked between his fingers; fighting back a sob that threatened to overthrow him, Naruto jumped into Itachi's arms. Screaming and crying, begging for forgiveness, begging him not to leave him alone. Itachi held Naruto, holding him as tight as possible; feeling glares on his back, Itachi knew that Naruto figured out what made him ill for the past two weeks.
"I'm pregnant, Itachi!" Naruto screamed into Itachi's chest, his grip on the raven increasing.
Itachi lowered his head, resting it on the golden locks that he's missed; "I figured for what everyone's told me from school." Itachi whispered; Naruto pulled away and looked at Itachi, wondering why he was taking it so calmly. "I want you to choose what you want to do, Naruto. I understand that we'll be going through a great change soon, but I want you to know that I'm very serious with you."
Naruto tilted his head to the side, confused; "What do you mean?"
Itachi took a deep breath, "Will you marry me," Itachi held Naruto's hands in a tight grip, "the mother of my future children?"
My my my~ I believe that the end is coming soon! Hopefully I'll get it in before school starts or you'll just have to wait until school ends for summer next year for the ending XD
