Chapter 17: Betrayal
"Trust is such a fragile thing… can so easily be destroyed…"
"I can't believe she did that." Damon exclaimed for about the millionth time.
"She had the right to leave Damon." Elena said closing her book.
"She wasn't supposed to just leave."
"She is a grow woman Damon."
"I don't care if she is a thousand years old." Damon snapped.
Before Elena could say anything Damon's phone started ringing.
"What the hell do you want?" Damon yelled into the phone after seeing the caller ID.
"Damon calm down." Stefan said.
"Calm down why should I?"
"Your acting like a crazy person."
"Well I am crazy Stefan; where is she?"
"She doesn't want to talk to you Damon."
"Well I need to explain myself to her brother just tell her I need to talk to her."
"I'll pass the message along when I see her."
"Thanks so what is it you want brother?"
"How are things there?"
"Translation 'how is Elena?' she is fine brother." Damon said walking out of the house.
"I meant all of you Damon."
"We are all fine but you know I never expected to be stabled on the back by my own brother."
"I told you I didn't do it." Stefan said his voice coated with frustration.
"I saw you."
"I am telling you I didn't take it Damon."
"Yes because Saint Stefan could never do anything bad."
"Damon…" Damon put the phone down in Stefan's ear.
"That was a little rude don't you think?" Kol asked as me walked over to Damon.
"Great just when I thought my day couldn't get any better."
"Aww is someone busy how would you young people say moping?" Kol said sitting down on the bench.
"What can I help you with Kol?" Damon asked.
"I am looking for Lexi; have you seen her?"
"No I haven't."
"Have you heard from her?"
"Kol I don't know where she is no one does."
"I don't believe you Damon."
"Look Kol your little girlfriend disappeared… she disappeared along with the cure." Damon said standing up and walking back into the house.
"You seem you to think like me brother." Klaus said walking out from behind a tree.
"I was looking for Lexi brother; what are you doing here?"
"I am looking for our dear sister."
"Why?"
"Last time I saw her was when she went to go look for the cure, she hasn't come home since then."
"Lexi has also been missing since they went to that island."
"Do you think our dear sister and Alexia might be together?"
"I don't know…"
"Have you tried phoning Alexia?" Klaus asked.
"No I haven't let me try; try and phone Rebbekah."
"I have her phone is off."Klaus said as Kol took his phone out of his pocket.
"Hello?"
"Lexi its Kol."
"Kol? What's wrong? Why are you phoning me?" Lexi asked.
"You disappeared and I got worried." Kol said into the phone.
"I fine Kol I have to go I'll be back soon." Lexi said before hanging up the phone.
"Well that was helpful." Klaus said.
"Well she's alive at least."
"Don't worry brother we'll find them." Klaus said putting a hand on Kol's shoulder.
"What happened that night you came to talk to Lexi?" Kol said.
"What do you mean?"
"I am not blind brother… don't forget Lexi is mine."
"Possessiveness doesn't suit you brother."
"I am only going to tell you this once leave Lexi alone." Kol said before walking away.
"Who was that?" Rebbekah asked as Lexi put the phone down.
"It's was your brother."
"Which one?"
"It was Kol." Lexi said lying down on the couch.
"What did we want?"
"He was just checking in on me?" Lexi said switching on the TV.
"Aww he probably misses you; how cute."
"I didn't tell him where I am so you don't have to worry about that."
"I know you wouldn't because if they know where I am, they know where you are."
"I can't go back yet… where did Stefan go?"
"He went for a walk while you were on the phone think to make sure they haven't found us."
"Thank you Rebbekah."
"For what?"
"Coming with me."
"You have Stefan."
"Yes I do and I am happy that he came with us but I don't really get along with other woman."
"Don't worry about it… its actually nice to spend time with a other female that isn't either sleeping with one of my brothers or involved in our family somehow."
"Well its my pleasure then."
Sorry I took so long to update work has been keeping me sooooooo busy and im sorry its not as long my other chapters but I have a huge event occurring in the next chapter :D will update as soon as I can xx
