Chapter 18:
"Hey."
"Hey."
"Are you alright?"
"I'm okay I guess just thought that running away would clear everything up."
"What do you mean?" Stefan asked handing Lexi a cup of coffee.
"I don't know what to do… we can't stay here forever."
"Can I help with anything?"
"I got involved with Kol to get close to them but now if feels like I am betraying Rebbekeah's trust… we are friends and I get along with her really well."
"Then forget about the revenge…you always say that revenge gives the darkness inside you to take over…" Stefan said.
"I hate it when you use my own advice against me." Lexi said lying down on her bed.
"You give good advice that is why."
"Wish I can crap advice then."
"You'll figure it out Lexi I know you will."
"Thanks Stefan."
"You're welcome."
"So tell me what is going on with you and Rebbekah…"
"I have no idea what you are talking about."
"Don't you even try and lie to me."
"I don't know what to tell you."
"How about the truth?" Lexi said crossing her legs underneath you.
"I don't know really, we are just enjoying each other's company."
"Which is code for…?"
"Lexi."
"Don't Lexi me; you're the one who is sleeping this Rebbekah."
"I don't know what is going on with us."
"Just be careful and don't hurt Rebbekah."
"That is the last thing I want to do I promise you."
"Hey mom I'm going to go to the boarding house for a while be back later." Caroline said as she closed the front door.
"Hello Caroline." The British accented said as Caroline unlocked her car.
"Klaus what an unwelcome surprise; what can I help you with today?" Caroline asked flipping her hair over her shoulder.
"I always enjoy our little conversations but getting to the point I am looking for Lexi have you heard anything from her?"
"Firstly why are you looking for your brother girl? And second we not that close; so no I haven't heard from her." Caroline said opening her car door."
"He is worried about her and I am trying to find her for him." Klaus said.
"That's really what you're going with?"
"Pardon? I don't understand what you are insinuating."
"You know exactly what I'm saying Klaus… Lexi is Kol girlfriend so I suggest you back off." Caroline said climbing into her car and starting the engine.
"Hey guys, is anyone here?" Caroline yelled opening the front door.
"Hello Caroline." Stefan said walking down the stairs.
"Stefan I thought you were with Lexi?"
"We came back early… what's wrong you seem to have something on your mind."
"Klaus was just at my house looking for Lexi."
"Why was he looking for her?" Stefan asked walking over to Caroline.
"He says he is doing it for his brother but I doubt it." Caroline said walking into the dining room.
"Best not to worry about it."
"Are you feeling okay Stefan?"
"Yes why would you ask me that?" Stefan asked smiling at Caroline.
"No reason I guess; I'm just imagining things."
"You seem to be very on edge do I make you uncomfortable?" Stefan said walking over to Caroline.
"What? Where is the cure Stefan?"
"What do you mean?"
"When you and Lexi left with Rebbekah you had the cure with you; where is it?" Caroline said taking a step away from Stefan.
"Well I didn't know about that part…" Stefan said sitting down on the couch.
"Silas."
"Hello Caroline I'm surprised you didn't fall for my trick… Even Elena invited me in think I was Stefan."
"What do you want Silas?" Caroline said crossing her arms.
"You have a certain quality about you that I like… I am looking for the cure."
"It's with Stefan, Rebbekah and Lexi and before you ask me I don't know where they are no one does."
"Well they we will just have to get them to come back."
"And how do you plan on doing that? No one knows where they are."
"With your help of course."Silas said before Caroline could say anything Silas broke her neck.
"You look pretty." Lexi said as Rebbekah walked down stairs in her blue mini-dress,
"Thank you Lexi; so do you." Rebbekah said.
"Thank you." Lexi said pulling a pose in her dark red strapless dress.
"Well I feel very lucky to have two beautiful ladies keeping me company." Stefan said walking into the room.
"You should." Lexi said grinning at Stefan making Rebbekah laugh.
"Shall we go paint the town red my darling?" Rebbekah asked holding her hand out to Lexi.
"I thought you'd never ask." Lexi said taking Rebekeah's hand letting Rebekah lead her into of their hotel room.
"What do you think we should to first my sister?" Lexi asked linking arms with her.
"No idea my sister but we shall have an amazing time no matter what we do."
"I agree… Stefan aren't you coming?" Lexi called when she noticed that Stefan wasn't behind them.
When Stefan didn't respond they walked back into the room to find Stefan on the phone but he hang up before they could say anything.
"Stefan who was that" Rebekah asked.
"That was Damien."
"Why did you answer we are supposed to be on holiday." Lexi said.
"Silas has kidnapped Caroline."
"What?" the girls said at the same time.
"He is masquerading as me… he got invited into the boarding house and kidnapped Caroline."
"Why what does he want?"Lexi asked.
"He wants the cure and is demanding a meeting with you."
"Me? Why me?" Lexi asked.
"I don't know Lexi."
"Okay well we better get back to Mystic Falls then."
"It's a trap you know that right?" Rebekah said taking a seat on the bed.
"I know it is but he has Caroline and I won't let anything happen to her because of me." Lexi said walking into her room to pack.
"I have a bad feeling about this Stefan" Rebekah said.
"So do I but we have no choice." Stefan said sitting down next to Rebekah.
"Well I better going book our tickets." Rebekah said.
"You don't have to come back if you don't want to." Stefan said taking her hand in his.
"I know but I have to face my brother at some point." Rebekah said.
"You have so much inner strength I wish I had."
"You are plenty strong Stefan." Rebekah said smiling at Stefan.
"Not as strong as you are." Stefan said smiling back at her.
"Come on we have to go pack." Rebekah said standing up pulling Stefan up with her.
"Rebekah I hope you don't think I am using you or…" Stefan was cut off by Rebekah kissing him.
"I know you not but I also know you need to figure some stuff out just remember I won't always be waiting in the wings for you." Rebekah said walking out of the room.
