Chapter 25:

Lexi took a deep breath and walked up to the front door of the mansion and knocking on the door.

"Hey Lexi." Rebekah said giving her a hug.

"Hey, sorry we haven't seen each other for a while." Lexi as Rebekah closed the door behind her.

"It's alright we have all a lot on our plates since we have gotten back." Rebekah said leading Lexi in the living room where Kol was sitting.

"Hey you." Kol said getting up from the couch and walking over to Lexi.

"Hey." Lexi said as Kol gave her a hug.

"I haven't seen you in a while, I was starting to think you were angry or upset with me." Kol said taking Lexi's hand and leading her to the couch. Rebekah excused herself giving the two sometime alone.

"Oh no, im not angry with you things have just been pretty crazy since I got back." Lexi said as Kol put his arm around her.

"Don't worry my darling; I understand that you have been busy."

"Thanks for understanding." Lexi said feeling slightly guilty for neglecting Kol.

"You are here with me now so im happy."

"What's going on between you and your brother?" Lexi asked after a while.

Kol was silent for a while. "My brother and I will always find something to fight and argue about; this time it is you."

"Why are you fighting over me?" Lexi asked already knowing the answer.

"My brother likes to take what is mine, not that I mean to insinuate that you belong to me in anyway." Kol said smiling at Lexi.

"I understand what you are trying to say." Lexi said smiling back.

"I wish I could explain why im so attached to you, it doesn't make sense."

"Hello you two." Klaus said walking into the room.

"Hello Klaus." Lexi said turning to Klaus.

"Nice to see you again, love."

"You are interrupting something, brother." Kol glaring at Klaus.

"I'm sure whatever you two were going came be continued up stairs." Klaus said while adding more wood to the fireplace.

"Why are you chasing us up stairs?" Lexi asked.

"I have a friend coming over and I would prefer if we have some privacy." Klaus explained.

"You have friends?" Lexi said.

"You have a bedroom so why don't you take your friend upstairs instead?" Kol asked before smiling at Lexi for her comment.

"My friend and I need to talk and if we go upstairs we wont be." Klaus said smiling suggestively.

"You are a pig." Lexi said standing up.

"Who is this friend of yours anyway?" Kol asked just before he walked out of the room.

"No one want to get on the bad side of." Klaus said.

"Your brother is acting very strange." Lexi said as they walked into Kols room.

"He has been like that for a while now but I don't understand why." Kol said scratching his head.

"Oh well let's not wonder about your brother for a while, okay?" Lexi picking up the remote for Kols cd player and pressing play. Out of the speakers came soft and slow classical music.

"I didn't know you liked classical music." Lexi said closing her eyes allowing the music to consume her.

"There is a lot you don't know about me." Kol said whispered in her ear.

"It would seem like it yes; would you do me the honor of dancing with me?" Lexi asked turning around to face Kol.

"Lady Alexia it would be an honor to dance with you." Kol said taking Lexi outstretched hand and placing his other hand on her waist.

After about an hour of dance the two lay down on Kols bed.

"You know I don't think you ever told me how you became a vampire." Kol said weaving his fingers though Lexi's hand.

"I don't who turned me… I remember I was 24 when I was turned but that's all I can remember of my life before this one." Lexi said staring at the celling.

"That's is rather strange, why don't you remember?" Kol asked turning on his side to look at Lexi.

"I don't know; some people think maybe it was traumatizing and my mind has blocked it out. "

"You know that I might know of a way that you can remember. " Kol said thoughtfully.

"Really, how? " Lexi asked sitting up.

"My brother Elijah discovered a way to unlock memories that have been forgotten or locked away." Kol explained.

"Do you think it could work?"

"I am not certain that it will, but we could try and hope that it will."

"What do I need to do?" Lexi asked.

"Came back tomorrow evening, I will ask my brother to help you."

"If he says no?" Lexi asked doubtfully.

"My brother's ultimate weakness is people and helping them plus my family have become used to you so I'm sure he will help us."

"That would be amazing!" Lexi exclaimed.

"Now are you going to tell me why exactly you can here today?" Kol asked.

"I know that I need to make a decision about you and Klaus." Lexi said looking at the floor.

"Yes, you do." Kol said.

"I pick you Kol, I wasn't sure when I was standing in front of your house."

"But?"

"I am sorry if I have hurt you in anyway it's just that interest in you didn't stem from feelings or something to that effect…. I start this thing with you to figure out what happened to the man that I love." Lexi explained.

"So this was all some sort of game to you then? You were just using me?" Kol asked angrily.

"In the beginning yes it was." Lexi said deciding that she was done with the lies. "This soon changed for me though I started liking you and spending time with you but this got a little complicated with you brother as well but that is why I am telling you the truth now; I don't want to lie to you anymore."

"How can I believe anything you tell me?" Kol asked hurt.

"I don't expect you to but I didn't want to lie anymore." Lexi said standing up.

"I don't know what I am thinking right now."

"If you want to talk to know where to find me." Lexi sad before walking out of Kols room.

"Goodnight Alexia." Elijah said standing in his doorway.

"Goodnight Elijah." Lexi said before leaving the mansion.
