Chapter 31:
She walking out onto the porch. She was embraced by the cold wind. It was peaceful night all you could hear was the wind. Being alone was giving the time and spaces she needed; it let her think.
All around her the night is alive, wings flutter and scampering of little animal feet on the ground as well as in the trees. She loved night time it made her feel safer than the day did.
As calm as she had become listening to the animals, the night had a way of making her feel alone and very lost.
She hadn't thought of him a lot in the days that had passed but now she found him on her mind since she had gotten here. In the woods by herself she had more time to think and remember him. It always left her feeling upset but somehow she always felt whole again even if only for a short time.
In truth she had not mourned him since he had passed instead she distracted herself or got angry plotting a way to find the person who had taken him away from and have revenge.
She released that no matter what she did he was still gone no amount of pain or angry would ever bring him back.
She need to reach a state of acceptance. Knowing she would be alright even if he wasn't with her anymore.
Reaching that state seemed to be impossible. She could feel the heartache and longing getting the better of her. Wanting to see him. Kiss him. One day marry him. All things that she would have to accept couldn't happen.
She wasn't ready to forget him but she know that Lee wasn't the only man she had feelings for.
That however had a lot of complication and problems to figure out.
Lexi didn't think she could love two people at once but her she was feeling guilty for how she felt about him feeling as if she was cheating on Lee even though he was gone.
She took the jewellery box which was in her pocket and opened it.
On the box was the ring that was to ring she would wear for the rest of her life.
She wished she could have gotten the chance to marry him but she knew that dwelling on that fact would not help her heal. She closed the box and put it back in her pocket. She sipped the blood laced wine she was hold in her one hand.
She found herself wondering how everything was going back in Mystic Falls. She missed her friends there but she needed to fix herself before she could go back to them, to him.
If he wanted her that is….
Its 2:30 in the morning and I am lying awake staring at the ceiling. I've been tossing and turning all night unable to sleep.
I know why I can't sleep. Everyone time I close my eyes her face pops into my head.
Alexia Branson.
I know she is just a woman and that there are tons of them out there but she was special.
She makes me see the world through different eyes. Seeing the beauty in the world and not just the pain and hatred.
She made him feel more alive than he had ever felt, which meant he felt pain, regret and guilt stronger than before.
He felt guilt for all the people he had killed in his life time. He sympathised with the families and loved ones.
Part of him hated her for doing this to him. Part of him loved her for it.
In truth he had never once stopped to think about his actions or coincidences that followed. Was easier that way to be a monster.
I know that I am not the only one who thinks of Lexi in this way. My brother has grown fond of her. We both agreed to wait for her to make the first move. To let her choose and not do anything until she has.
I wish I knew what was going on in her mind but truth is I have no idea. She has always been the wild card,
Hey guys I know this chapter is a bit different from the previous one but I hope you like it and I am looking forward to hearing some feedback. F.F.
