Chapter 35:
Lucy's P.O.V.
I was busy lying on the bed which was in the room I had been given by Stefan much to Lexis disapproval. I was busy staring at my ceiling fan will all my thought drifting around in my mind like speech bubbles. They were forming what messed to be a staircase leading my down memory lane reminding me how I got myself into this situation.
Flashback:
"You know it wouldn't kill you to go and talk to some people in here." My friend Edgar said indicating to the room full of people. The two of us were sitting at a booth table some high-class bar.
"I will make you a deal if you go and talk to one of the people in t his bar so will I; there is a catch though." I replied sipping my drink.
"What is the catch? I am interested." Edgar replied.
"I get to pick the person and you get to do the same for me; how does that sound?" I ask knowing that he would be able to resist say to my offer.
"You my dear have deal and just to make things easier for you I will let you pick first." Edgar said with a grin.
"You asked for it; you see that pretty blonde girl standing there by the bar." I said indicating the woman's direction.
"Are you crazy? She wouldn't pay any kind of attention to someone like me." Edgar said when he saw the woman who I was talking about.
"You agreed to the deal and now you have to stick to your word." I said grinning cheekily.
"You deliberately picked her just to make me suffer didn't you?" My friend asked me, knowing already that the answer to that question was yes.
"Partly yes but I just think it would teach you to be more confident about approaching woman." I replied honestly.
"Well i have picked someone for you as well." Edgar said looking over my shoulder at something or someone.
"Lay it on me," I said faking confidence.
"There's tall brunette guy directly behind you." Edgar said grinning like he knew something that I did not.
"You have yourself a deal."
"You don't even know what he looks like."
"That doesn't matter this is all about getting to know other people." I said positively.
"Well here goes nothing." Edgar said downing the last of his drink and walking to the blonde and starts talking to her. After a short while I see Edgar order two drinks for them quickly shooting me a grin before turning his attention back to the blonde girl.
"You friend seems to be charming my sister." I hear a man with a British accent say sitting down at my booth.
"Umm yeah I guess; why are you sitting down? I don't know you and I didn't invite you to join me because I don't know you." I replied to the stranger.
"I overheard you conversation with your friend so I thought I would make things less awkward by coming over and talking to you instead of having you coming over to me and trying to start a conversation. " the stranger replied somewhat arrogantly.
"Well I don't think I want to make conversation with someone who makes a habit of ease dropping on other peoples' private conversations." I said simply sipping my drink slowly and paying the minimum amount of attention to the man sitting across from me.
"I don't usually make a habit of doing that but i saw your friend point at me so I thought I would come and introduce myself." The handsome stranger said happily.
"We made a deal we would both pick a person for the other person to go and meet." I explained.
"Who would did you pick?" He asked.
"I picked the blonde girl he is sitting with over there." I replied pointing to the table where my friend and the blonde where sitting.
He looked over his shoulder at the table where my friend was sitting,
"That is my sister." The stranger said happily.
"Is she really? " I asked in disbelief.
"Yes she really is; what are the chances?" The stranger asked sipping his drink and smiling at me.
"That is really weird actually." I replied sipping my drink too.
"I'm Klaus Mickealson." The stranger said introducing himself.
"Nice to meet you; I'm Lucy" I said introducing myself to the man sitting across from who's name I know knew.
"It's nice to meet you Lucy' may I propose a toast?" Klaus asked lifting his glass.
"I supposed that you can if you want to." I replied lifting my glass.
"A toast to new friendships." Klaus said lifting his glass and waiting for me to clink my glass.
"To new friendships I guess." I replied clink my glass against his.
"Would you still consider me to be a stranger?" Klaus asked after we had both sipping our drinks.
"Yes I would I might know your name but I don't know who you are if that makes sense." I said simply.
"Fair enough so my next question is would you want to get to know me?"
"You seem determined to get to know me so I suppose if you want to you are welcome to try." I replied as I look over his shoulder to see my friend and Klaus sister laughing.
"What can I say you look like an awesome person and thought we might get along really well plus you are beautiful." Klaus said looking over his shoulder at my friend and his sister as well before looking back at me.
"You only want to talk to me because you thought I was pretty?" I asked slowly finishing my drink.
"That did defiantly have an effect on my decision; can I get you something else to drink?" Klaus asked finishing his drink as well.
"You know what sure you can why not?" I replied as Klaus called the waitress over to order our drinks.
I slowly returned to my present surroundings when there was a knock on my room door.
"Yes?" I asked not moving from my stop on the bed.
"Hey Lucy; Caroline and Tyler are here." I heard Stefan say through the door.
"I'll be right down." I replied sitting up and freshening up a little bit before leaving my room.
