Chapter 37:
Lucy P.O.V.
"Who is Lee?" I asked confused, feeling like I was missing something.
"Lee was or is or I don't know now, he was with Lexi." Stefan said.
"Stefan you aren't making any sense." I said helping Stefan to the nearest seat.
"You don't understand…" Stefan said sitting down and holding his head.
"You are right I don't… Can I go get you some water or something?" I asked not really sure what I should go with myself in this particular situation.
"No… lets go and find Lexi." Stefan said standing up.
"Stefan you need to slow down you still recovering from whatever you saw." I say putting my arm around him in an attempt to keep him up.
"I have to see Lexi, Lucy, it's really important." Stefan pleaded with me.
"I'll go and find him you stay here." I suggested helping to his seat again.
"Alright… You go and find her than bring her back to me." Stefan said sitting back in the chair.
"I'll be right back; don't move." I stated heading towards the staircase in an attempt to fetch Lexi for Stefan.
As I ran down the stairs and stair into Damon.
"Hi." Damon said smiling at me.
"Hey Damon, do you know where Lexi is?" I asked.
"I believe that she is in her bedroom why?" Damon respond indicating that her room was down the hallway.
"Stefan asked me to go and fetch her; thanks for your help." I said before heading to Lexi's room.
"Good luck." Damon yelled after me.
I reach the room that I thought was Lexi's room and knocked on the correct bedroom door.
There was no response. So I waited a few more minutes before knocking again.
"Hello." Kol said opening the bedroom door.
"Hi Kol." I said greeting him.
"Hey Lucy what's up?" He asked.
"I'm looking for Lexi actually." I replied making eye-contact with Lexi, who appeared behind Kol.
"You found me." Lexi said as she heard what I had just said.
"Hi… Stefan asked me to please come and get you." I explained.
"Really? Why is he looking for me?" Lexi asked as we made our way from her bedroom.
"I don't really know... he remembered who was in Bonnie's house and after that he said a name than said he needed to talk to you." I explained as we made our way to Stefan.
"Who was in her house?" Kol asked as we made our way up the stairs.
"He said a name but I can't remember what it was; Stefan will be able to answer your questions better I can." I replied honestly.
We walked the rest of the way in silence until we reached Stefan.
"Hey Stefan are you alright?" Lexi asked as we reached him. Stefan was still sitting in the chair I left him in and if it is possible he looked tired.
"Sometimes when a spell loses complete control of a person than can leave you feeling completely drained." I explained.
"Let's get you up to your room so you can lie down." Lexi said helping Stefan to his feet.
"Lexi… Lee is alive." Stefan said stumbling over his words.
"Stefan you must really not be feeling well… you know that Lee passed a while ago." Lexi said very concerned for her friend.
"Lexi stop." Stefan said holding Lexi so that they were facing each other.
"What?" Lexi asked worried now.
"I remembered who was in Bonnies house…. The spell reversal worked." Stefan started to say carefully as if he didn't know how to say what he needed to say.
"I know Lucy said that you needed to see me because of who was in Bonnies house; You clearly still recovering because of the reversal process."
"No… you aren't listening to me." Stefan said seeming to regain his strength as he spoke.
Lexi slowly looks at every person before turn her attention back to Stefan.
"Lee is alive?" Lexi asked the words sounding like poison as she spoke.
"Yes he; When I went to Bonnies house that day she called me because he was in her house but I don't remember what happened after that." Stefan said leading us all to the living-room downstairs.
"How can that be possible?" Lexi asked we made our way to the living, as Stefan and Lexi walk in the room I see Kol make his way to the front door as quickly and quietly as possible.
I ran after him and reached him just before he closed the front door.
"Where are you going?" I asked closing the door behind us as we have a little bit of privacy.
"What do you mean where am I going?" Kol asked stopping to look at me.
"I mean why are you leaving? I thought you'd stay with Lexi." I said.
"Lexi doesn't want or need me to be here right now…" Kol said sounding really upset but trying to hide it.
"Did you ask Lexi if she wants you to leave?''
"No but she just heard that her husband who she thought was died is actually alive and no one seems to know why, so why would I stay to hear how the woman I love is busy talking and being upset by this other guy." Kol said sincerely.
"Kol you just said that you love Lexi so why are you just giving up on her by walking away?" I asked not understanding.
"She is not going to want anything to do with me if Lee is alive Lucy… why would I risk telling her how I feel when deep down I know she still loves him and if the choice came she would pick him; I don't want to make her choose so I am taking myself out of the race so she doesn't have too." Kol said turning his back on me.
"That isn't fair of you to Kol; you decide who she should be with for her only she can make that choice." I said just as Kol ran off.
Vampire speed is such a pain…
I went back inside to go find Stefan and Lexi who were still in the living-room. Jeremy and Bonnie had now joined them. They all stopped talking as soon as I walked in the room.
"Don't stop on my account." I joked feeling very awkward.
"This is a private conversation…" Lexi started to say but Stefan gave her a look that I didn't understand but it made her be quite.
"I was wondering where you ran off too; Bonnie also started getting some of the memories back from the day that Lee was in her house." Stefan explained warmly indicating that I could sit next to him as he spoke.
"That's good… it means that you both will start feeling better very soon." I replied sitting down next to Stefan.
"Lucy you know more about magic than anyone here; is it possible to actually bring back someone who has died?" Bonnie asked turning her attention to me as she spoke.
Everybody turned their attention to me.
"As far as I know you can't bring someone back unless you take a life from someone else; there has to be balance." I explained looking around the group.
"So if someone killed someone else they could someone back from death?" Lexi asked slowly her mind clearly moving at a hundred kilometers an hour.
"Do you know anyone who could do a spell like that?" Bonnie asked thinking about what I had said for a second before speaking again.
"Well…" I started to say than closed my mouth again and sitting there without saying a word.
"Lucy?" Stefan asked after a few minutes.
"Oh there are many witches and warlocks that can perform this spell." I said getting up.
"Where you going?" Bonnie asked in a confused tone of voice.
"I don't feel well… because I undid the spell that was cast on Stefan it has made me weak as well." I explained before excusing myself from the room.
"Where are you going?" I quickly made my way to the front and pulled on my jacket as I was planning on sneaking out of the house without anyone hearing me and suddenly I heard Stefan's voice behind me and shrieked in response.
"You can't do that to me you will give me a heart attack Stefan." I replied opening the front door.
"You didn't answer my question." Stefan said following me out of the house.
"I need to go and see someone Stefan; I won't be long." I replied turning to face the brunette vampire standing in-front of me.
"You can't go anywhere alone; I trust you but if you can't tell me where you are going than I get let you go." Stefan said standing his ground.
"Am I a prisoner?" I asked stepping closer to Stefan.
"No you aren't Lucy I want you to be able to come and go as you want when I know where you are going."
"Stefan I came to you of my own free will wanting to fix the mess I had made; you have trust me please I wouldn't be going if it wasn't absolutely necessary." I said pleading with Stefan to let me go.
"You won't get far without this." Stefan said handing me a set of keys.
"What's this for?" I ask taking the keys.
"You won't get far without a car; we still little ways out town." Stefan explained his voice soaked in sadness.
"Thank you for trusting me Stefan, I won't be long." I said taking the keys from him and making my way to his car and leaving the Salvador's house.
I drove slowly towards my destination slowly working through all the pieces of information floating around in my head so that i have a clear set out plan of action.
I turned on the radio so that there was background noise in the car as I drove, it always helps me think.
I drive on the drive of the person I want to talk to and stop the car near the front of the building.
I take a deep breathe than open the car door and get out of the car slowly making my way towards the huge house with massive double wooden doors. The house looks closer to a castle than a house with all the windows and beautiful red curtains surrounding the beautiful windows. I walk up to the door and ring and doorbell and while taking a moment to appreciate the beautifully carved wooden doors.
I heard footsteps coming down the stairs and heard a click as the door was opened.
"Oh hello Lucy." Kol greeted me, his voice was coated in disinterest.
"Hello I'm sorry to bother you." I said feeling awkward in the doorway.
"You are not bothering anyone would you like to come inside?" Kol asked holding the one door open for me. I walked through the door and Kol closed it behind me and lead me to the living area of the house where Klaus was sitting on the couch with a drink in his hand.
"Kol who was at the door…" Klaus stated to say but stopped his sentence when he saw me follow Kol into the room.
"Hello Klaus." I said after we spent a what felt like a few minutes of just staring at each other.
"Hello Lucy… this a surprise." Klaus finally said recovering from the shock of seeing me.
"I will give you a chance to speak in private." Kol said quickly excusing himself from the very awkward situation.
"I did think I'd ever see you again." Klaus said sitting down in his seat again.
"If it was up to me you would have but I need to talk to you about something." I said sitting down across from Klaus indicating that his was not a casual conversation but was very important.
"Sounds serious… what is going on?" Klaus said releasing that this not a visit.
"I know what you did… and I am going to tell everyone but I am to ask you why." I said getting straight to the point.
"I have no idea…" Klaus started to say but I lifted me hand indicating the he shouldn't even try and lie to me.
"Don't you dare lie to me… I did this for you so now I expect you to tell me." I exclaimed feel angry.
